The Big Lies Of The “Resistance”: A Directory. Big Lie #3: “Trump Is A Fascist/Hitler/Dictator/Monster/White Supremacist [False Start]

Incompetent blogger alert

Well, I had over 600 words on this one completed, and somehow deleted the whole thing. I’m an idiot. I’ll recreate it when I get back to the office.

I anyone wants to suggest some points for this one, you’re welcome.

The final, re-contracted post is here.

        • Well, maybe the IRS isn’t the right tool for the job, but don’t we have other agencies that deal with domestic terrorists?

        • Of course it isn’t an apples to apples comparison, but you have, on one hand, a legitimately peaceful political entity being targeted for government wrath by an oppositional administration (AKA bordering on fascist behavior) and on the other hand, you have a clearly criminal organization bent on undermining public order wherever it can, pretty much still given free reign in the areas they choose to operate.

  1. An online knitting group has banned all supporters of Trump. The rationale was “Blah, blah, white supremacy, we are inclusive, blah, blah.” The lack of self-awareness is boggling.

  2. If you support personal responsibility, merit, performance, capitalism, anything allowing excelling or failure, you are all the isms imaginable. Trump being one of those types, he is guilty on all counts. Orange man and all his deplorables must me excluded and re-educated. (Don’t think the organizers of this Alinskyite soft coup don’t understand it this way. They clearly do.)

  3. The other side justifies violence against Trump and his supporters. When has he encouraged assaults on the other side?

  4. Jack,
Look in your WordPress trash, you should fin it in there and be able to restore it from there, then make sure you copy the contents into a NEW blog post otherwise the link automatically generated when you post the blog will have _trash in the link.

I try to do my writing offline in a word processor and then copy and paste the entire blog into WordPress. I can do special formatting after I paste it into WordPress. This also give me a nice backup on my computer in case something happens to WordPress.

    Good luck.

    • P.S. In the MySite interface, see the Trashed choice next to the Published and Draft choices up close to the top…

If you’re using the WordPress Admin there is a similar choice in the AllPosts menu choice.

If you already knew all this, never mind.

      • I tried everything. There were no previous versions of the post listed, which is how I’ve rescued stuff in the past. All I can figure is that the second I hit a new letter (the rest of the post was highlighted for some reason, but I didn’t see it), that “new draft” was picked up by WordPress and became the new draft. Bad luck, bad timing.

  5. You’re probably already making mention of it, but the rescission of numerous Obama-era executive orders is especially damning when it comes to making a case for Trump’s dictatorial bent.

Same with throttling back bureaucratic powers… who can forget the Obama Department of Education’s infamous “Dear Colleague” letter, which led to effective suspension of due process rights? That one right there was more totalitarian than ANYTHING Trump has done – and that Trump’s admin struck it down shows pretty clearly that if he’s all in to strip civil liberties, he sucks at the job..

  6. Not droning a clear enemy of our nation while the previous President (oft lauded as though he were democracy’s savior) couldn’t seem to go a day without droning some one or some thing.

    • Trump’s 1989 ad says “criminals of every age [are allowed] to beat and rape a helpless woman,” and it calls for the death penalty to be reinstated for murder. However, there were 7 other attacks in Central Park on the same evening, the accused teenagers had confessed during police interrogations, and there were high high rates of violent crime in New York City at the time. With that context, it certainly seems unfair to beat up on Trump for his ad, which expressed the anger of a huge swath of New Yorkers at the time. It wasn’t until 2002 that the Central Park Five were exonerated on the basis of DNA evidence.
