KABOOM! “Human Sacrifice, Dogs And Cats Living Together, Mass Hysteria!”… If I Hadn’t Seen This, I Wouldn’t Have Believed It, And My Head Wouldn’t Have Exploded

Remember, Donald Trump is the fascist who is trying to crush democracy. Just repeat that to yourself as you consider this, and maybe…no, it still will still make your head explode.

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, in the persons of  Biden’s top aides Anita Dunn and Kate Bedingfield, sent a letter  to the heads of the major news and cable networks, as well as top news anchors, demanding that they refuse to book Presidential advisor Rudy Giuliani. It read in part,

“We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuliani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump. While you often fact check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time, you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation, We write to demand that in service to the facts, you no longer book Rudy Giuliani, a surrogate for Donald Trump who has demonstrated that he will knowingly and willingly lie in order to advance his own narrative…Giuliani is not a public official, and holds no public office that would entitle him to opine on the nation’s airwaves.”

Then the letter demands that if the former mayor is put on the airwaves, “an equivalent amount of time” be given “to a surrogate for the Biden campaign.”

Frankly, I still can’t believe Biden approved this, but of course, he must have. What’s going on here?  Incredibly, this: A former Vice President and current (though doomed) Presidential hopeful is asking the news media to actively censor a political critic.

How damning is this? It’s hard to see how it can be more damning. No public figure in this country could make such a request if he or she had any functioning ethics alarms at all, or self-respect, for that matter. “Don’t put one of my critics on your show!” No public figure in this country could make such a request if he or she had any regard for fairness, open public discourse, the public’s right to know or the Bill of Rights. “I have to control the narrative, and you have a duty to help me!

Oh NO!  My head is going to blow AGAIN!

In a text response to The Daily Beast, Giuliani wrote that Biden letter “sounds like the usual left wing censorship.” No, this is even worse than the usual left wing censorship. Biden’s letter is a smoking gun showing the degree to which the Democratic Party depends on biased, manipulative news coverage  to control public opinion and achieve power. In a tweet, Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale joked, “Can we request the removal of Democrats on TV that push hoaxes? Wait, but then who would do the interviews?” It’s an appropriate question, but not a funny one. Biden’s demand has laid bare the frightening totalitarian tilt of the current Democratic Party. Terrified that it cannot prevail if the public has access to all sides of a controversy with political ramifications, the Democrats at the party’s highest level seeks to silence dissent, even when it comes from the White House.

Imagine what these people will do if they ever get the power they crave.

It is also worth noting that sending such a letter, and the letter itself, is stupid beyond belief. It makes Biden and his camp sound desperate, frightened, panicked  and weak, because, in fact, they are. The letter builds to an idiotic crescendo with “Giuliani is not a public official, and holds no public office that would entitle him to opine on the nation’s airwaves.” And what “entitles” Joe Biden, who also holds no public office, to determine who can opine on the nation’s airwaves?  What entitles Rush Limbaugh, or Chris Cuomo, or Stephen Colbert or ME—I’ve been a guest on NPR, CBS, and Fox News— to opine on the nation’s airwaves? We all have the same “entitlement”—misleading and wrong choice of words, there, Joe—we can opine when the stations and networks think we have a perspective and opinion worth hearing.

Democrats, progressives and “the resistance” are increasingly candid about the fact that they don’t believe that any opinion that diverges from theirs is worth hearing, and that it is appropriate for them to enlist their ideological allies in the news media to make sure they aren’t heard.

China’s regime feels the same way. So did Stalin. Castro.

Now Joe Biden, Obama’s Vice-President, running for the White House, openly declares that he agrees.

Oh-Oh…this is going to be a triple-header!

KABOOM!

  1. If Joe is as pure as the driven snow, what dirt is there to dig up? Wasn’t that the lefty justification for the Mueller investigation? Is Tfump asking Ukraine to manufacture evidence when there is nothing? Just read today that besides Hunter’s escapades in Ukraine and China, Joe has a brother who was on the name trading train. A Billy Carter problem.

    • Just so we’re clear on it, CNN continues to advise us “There is no evidence of wrongdoing by either Joe or Hunter Biden.” This sentence appears in every MSM article. I think it’s hardwired into their word processors. Reminds me of Kevin Bacon in “Animal House” during the Deltas’ attack on the Faber College home coming parade. “Remain calm!”

    • According to the Adam Schiff version of the call transcript, Trump said he needed the Ukrainian president to make up dirt on Biden and his son or else.

Trump went and did something that the Democrats never counted on though: He didn’t assert executive privilege, and released the call transcript. It turns out Trump asked him to investigate why the prosecutor was fired and if it was justified.

  2. Biden’s demand has laid bare the frightening totalitarian tilt of the current Democratic Party

Heh. Well, no. That has been laid bare for years. This is nothing compared to the calls for changes to the First Amendment to allow the prosecution of hate speech or climate change denial. It’s nothing compared to the demand that the Second Amendment be invalidated if it can’t be repealed outright.

Honestly, this is really bad, but there has been so much worse, and with multiple important members of the Democrat party mouthing them. This is just one more log on the totalitarian blaze that the Democrats have stoked to wildfire levels since before Trump was inaugurated. Remember the attempt to nullify the Electoral College?

Imagine what these people will do if they ever get the power they crave.

Well, they’ve told us already. No need to imagine.

It is also worth noting that sending such a letter, and the letter itself, is stupid beyond belief. It makes Biden and his camp sound desperate, frightened, panicked and weak, because, in fact, they are.

This is spot-on. To me, this is just a demonstration of Biden’s support for free speech restrictions that the left wing of the party embraced years ago. Wrongspeak must be punishable at minimum by enforced de-platforming. This is just another attempt at de-platforming, which the Left has been doing for years, but with much greater zeal during Trump’s tenure as president. In other words, this is nothing new, it’s just disturbing to see the so-called “moderate” Democrat Biden embrace it. Which makes me wonder — is there anyone remaining in the Democrat party presidential field that could possibly deserve the appellation “moderate?”

I’m glad you wrote about this, because it deserves to be written about and blasted with both barrels. This is a demonstration of what the Left is now — so certain of their moral authority and “rightness” that the are willing to disregard the Constitution altogether. In fact, they think their moral authority supersedes the Constitution and are setting about to prove it by any means necessary.

And they say Trump is the norm-buster! Pot, meet kettle.

  3. “Democrats, progressives and “the resistance” are increasingly candid about the fact that they don’t believe that any opinion that diverges from theirs is worth hearing, and that it is appropriate for them to enlist their ideological allies in the news media to make sure they aren’t heard.”

This certainly strikes home with me on a personal level as it has with Jack. As a former (emphasis on former) member of the “Never Trump” brigade I certainly had my share of discomfort posting negatives and positives regarding Trump. I have found positives result in vindictive responses and invariably an excommunication since I have defiled the group speak.

On the right, I noticed a far greater level of tolerance even in the campaign months when I was certainly not Hillary, but would post negative Trump comments. I can recall little blowback that came close to the hurricane of vindictiveness I have received from the left. Even if I disagreed with Trump 100% the very actions of “The Resistance” would turn me away from all things Democrat.

I have always been able to separate personality and policy. I have often referred to baseball in that Trump is the George Steinbrenner of politics. But policy? I am both surprised and pleased at how aligned I am with Trump. Even wrote a nice check to his campaign.

    • I am the opposite. I am only strongly aligned with his judicial nominees, and to be honest his efforts to stop indirectly funding abortion.

I disagree with everything else politically.

However, I don’t demonize difference in political opinion. That the Democrats do turns me off. I straight up quit the party after they slandered Kavenough, and have only grown less impressed since.

I am also disgusted by Trump’s behavior and demeanor, but this is mitigated by respect for the office, and reprect for the individual who would accept the office. Strangely, this translates to begrudging respect for elected members of the “resistance” as well. When Senator Blumenthal marches in my towns local parade, I find myself viscerally disgusted by people booing him. When Amazon suggested a crude anti-Biden shirt, I almost cancelled my account.

Sadly, it is crap like that Biden pulls that betrays moderates like me. It is materially worse than the crap they constantly accuse Trump of, and fills me with personal animosity that I must fight, lest I become what I despise.

  4. How much more of this can you take, Jack, until you decide you have no choice but to violate your correct ethics alarms that say Trump is unworthy of anyone’s vote, and give in to the necessity of preserving the Republic?

With each one of these revelations, it becomes more and more clear to me.

    • 1. Jack has already agreed that voting for anyone, right down to local dog catcher, who is a Democrat is unethical

      2. Any vote for a third party has no hope, and is an abdication to not taking a stand

      3. The GOP will not run an opponent to President Trump.

If the above are true, voting for President Trump is the only responsible choice.

      I am open to discussion.

  5. The scarier part is that the article goes on to agree, and that some of these networks will probably comply. Biden is going to go down fighting. The worst part is it means Elizabeth Warren could become the president.

  6. This is the same Anita Dunn that developed the strategy to delegitimized Fox news and other outlets that challenged the Obama administration.

  7. The mainstream media continue to say that there is “no evidence” of Ukrainian hacking or of Biden’s effort to quash a criminal investigation of his son and that both of these accusations have been “debunked.” I have not seen a single mention of the fact — clearly stated in the whistleblower letter — that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine stated publicly as far back as March that he had uncovered evidence supporting both allegations and that he was continuing to say so publicly at least as late as June. This is important because it means not only that the accusations have not been “debunked” at all (since nobody has ever seen or weighed this supposed evidence) but also that, in the phone call with Zelenskyy, Trump was not asking Ukraine to begin an investigation at all. He was asking them to complete the already ongoing investigation and provide their findings to the US.

On the other hand, for reasons that are inexplicable to me, Trump’s defenders haven’t made much of this fact either, though it seems to me critical context for understanding the phone call.

Maybe I’m missing something I certainly can’t claim to have watched more than a few minutes of TV coverage. Has anybody here seen these facts discussed?

    • I find myself wondering the same thing. It vaguely suggests to me that, rather than splattering the facts all over newspapers, they’re putting them into indictments and arranging evidence for trial.

    • Greg,
I agree. What I see happening is everyone is focusing on the latest narrative and are ill equipped to put together a cohesive case.

My question is why some of the right leaning pundits do not ask good hard hitting follow up questions.

Here is one of mine. Why did the Obama administration create a counter intelligence investigation on Trump and his campaign before he was elected using Australian and British sources.

Obviously, the Obama administration did nothing procedurally or legislatively to stop suspected meddling so why was he interested in Trump?

  8. I know that Biden claimed he was not able to say he was all in when he opted out of the race in 2016 . Could it be that he chose not run because of Hunter’s activities in Ukraine which HRC would undoubtedly expose had he run against her? By not running Hunter was able to milk the Buresma deal for several more years at 83k per month.
