To say that ISIS MUST be destroyed, and simultaneously state that we will refuse to do what may be necessary to destroy it, is either incompetent, or dishonest.. Since President Obama has already shown that he is both, it is difficult to know which.
As a people and a species we admire perseverance and fortitude, the ability to refuse to accept defeat and press on to victory. For that quality to be virtuous rather than irresponsible, however, requires the willingness to accept and objectively analyze reality.
