As an employer, I would view Calcaterra’s post more disqualifying for any job above janitor than Hader’s or Kopech’s juvenile tweets. I know that a 22 year-old is a significantly different person than he was in high school, because I’ve been one. Calcaterra is an oppressive, intolerant, political correctness bully now.
The only way to end this awful practice is for the public to support its victims without reservation, and deride the journalists and executives who are encouraging it. Right now, the public is complicit in the unethical tactic of gratuitous personal destruction, because it is allowing it to work.
