Oopsie!
Bloomberg’s financial news site accidentally reported that Russia had invaded Ukraine last week afternoon with the headline above on its homepage. apparently nobody at Bloomberg reads the site, it stayed up for about 30 minutes. Olga Lautman, a Russian analyst, posted the message on social media.
What would Fred Dalton Thompson say about the toxic combination of news media incompetence and instant communications technology? Take it, Fred!

I love that film. Despite Alec Baldwin’s political views.
My wife’s favorite movie. Baldwin was the best Jack Ryan.
Baldwin hadn’t come out as such a jerk then. He’s also good in the role because he dials back his own presence, something Harrison Ford can’t do. Sean Connery made a great appearance as Marko Ramius, but, unlike Baldwin, couldn’t dial back and vanish into the role.
That’s what great movie stars do, and why they get parts. Even Sean’s Scottish accent didn’t hurt the movie.
