—Incompetent, insulting, dishonest and embarrassing White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who not only has wrapped up the title of the worst White House mouthpiece in history, but also may be the most incompetent Presidential staff member in history as well.
She is also a Rationalization #64, “It isn’t what it is” champion, which is quite an achievement in a tough field. For example, more than one member of the Biden Administration has claimed that the “border is secure.”
Biden hasn’t lowered the cost of anything. That statement is an absolute, irredeemable lie. Here is one list of how prices have gone up since Biden was elected, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:
- Groceries up 20%
- Food away from home up 18.5%
- Energy costs up 43%
- Gas prices up 62.5%
- Electricity prices up 26%
- Used cars and trucks up 33%
- New cars up 20%
- Furniture up 17%
- Clothes up 11.4%
I don’t understand why the news media tolerates this. It should, as a body, refuse to attend press briefings until President Biden shows the minimal respect for reporters (true, they only deserve minimal respect) of placing a minimally competent and credible individual in the role Jean-Pierre has been flubbing regularly from the beginning. The woman truly has no skills or assets to qualify her for the role other than her DEI check-boxes, since she’s female, gay and brown. In that, she is a throbbing rebuke to the whole concept of affirmative action and diversity. She does make possible the fun parlor game of debating whether she or Kamala Harris was a worse race-and-gender over competence call by Biden.
That Biden or his puppeteers won’t jettison this disgrace demonstrates that they just don’t care, and also think the public is dumber than, well, Karine Jean-Pierre.
Ethics Alarms 
Her color, gender, and sexuality are basically a triple insurance policy against getting fired. Whoever is pulling the strings knows that if they sack her the administration we have all kinds of crap from the DEI people. She doesn’t have to be competent, all she has to do is lie for the president. You don’t have to be talented to tell lies or to say what you’re told to say. I think at this point most of the country knows that all this woman does is repeat the administration’s line.
There has to be a limit, Steve. Saying Biden has lowered prices is pure Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia stuff. Can she say we aren’t giving money to Ukraine? Can she say Joe Biden just won a 100 yrd dash and pole-vaulted 15 feet? Come on.
Of course it’s a blatant lie. Of course it’s the opposite of reality. But in the partisan clamshell this nation has become, no one cares. It’s really that simple.

Just tossing the question out would actually be hilarious, even if she didn’t answer. It would be even more appropriately funny if she responded with her stock lie that she had “…already answered that question”.

You hit the nail on its head, Ron. It is not about Karine Jean-Pierre. She is simply doing her job as a spokesperson for the Biden administration. Whatever comes out of her mouth is what the Biden administration wants to expound to the country. If it happens to be a lie frequently, it is not a Karine Jean-Pierre lie; it is a Biden administration lie.
People/administrations lie when they believe they can get away with the lie. When the consequence of being caught lying is less than the consequence of telling the truth … they will lie. In today’s political environment, the consequence of the Biden administration being caught in such a boldfaced lie is next to null because the MSM will not call them out for the lie. They will actually use their constitutional protected power to embrace the lie when spoken by an administration whose political philosophy they happen to support.
“Democracy Dies in Darkness”. Especially when the institution designed to be that beacon of light is actively involved in shutting down the very illumination needed to sustain our Democracy/Republic.
The important question is not whether Karine Jean-Pierre’s statement is “incompetent, insulting, dishonest and embarrassing” (Duh), but rather, why the MSM will actively support it.
