Ethics Fredo gets his second appearance this month. Ethics Alarms had unethical and incompetent Maryland State’s Attorney pegged for what she was—a virulent, ambitious, anti-law enforcement hack—waaay back in 2015 when she first became the darling of the Barack Obama-led “let’s vilify cops, especially white ones” mob, as she pandered to Baltimore’s rioters slightly more vigorously than Obama’s Justice Department had in the wake of the Ferguson uproar. After her politically motivated prosecution of four Baltimore cops in the Freddie Gray arrest failed, EA further commented, in 2016,

Make no mistake: this result was completely and entirely the result of the incompetent, unethical conduct of State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby…she’s proud of being unethical, because its the kind of unethical conduct that African-American activists think promotes justice. Justice is when someone pays with their life or liberty if an African American dies, regardless of law or evidence.  That’s the theory, anyway….She accepted no responsibility for the collapse of the cases, although it was entirely her fault. Mosby defended her indefensible decision to bring the charges against the officers, saying that “as a mother,” the decision to drop them was “agonizing.”…Is she aware that the six officers she sacrificed to mob extortion—Prosecute or we burn down the city!—also have mothers? I guess not….

Marilyn J. Mosby revealed herself as a rogue prosecutor, untrustworthy, dishonest, reckless and no longer dedicated to her duty as a law enforcement official, but unethically using her position to advance a political and social agenda.

Well waddya know? Mosby was just convicted of two counts of perjury yesterday for lying about her finances to withdraw money from her city retirement account under a program designed to help people struggling financially during the pandemic. Prosecutors proved that she falsely claimed to suffer from financial hardships to take $90,000 from retirement funds and then used the money to purchase two homes in Florida.

Mosby faces up to five years in federal prison for each perjury count, and she has another trial coming up. This is the kind of corrupt and ideologically-obsessed progressive prosecutor Maryland (and other places) allowed to erode public faith in police, lighting the fuse that led to the George Floyd Freakout and its still unfolding carnage.

And Ethics Alarms, aka me, had her pegged immediately.
