Presenting him as an “expert” on climate change exemplifies how little the Democrats respect the public and how manifestly unserious the whole climate change movement is. The GOP should have had him testify as a perfect example of how informed the average clime change activist is. That guy was testifying before the Senate as a pure cognitive dissonance scale endorsing celebrity: he might as well have been selling Wheaties. It is sickening—never mind unethical.
It’s just a good thing the witness is not a trans black woman, or we’d be required to believe him, anyway.
In the 1970’s, the Great Lakes used to freeze shore to shore. The environmental activists were warning about ‘Global Cooling’ and a new ice age. Then, in the 1980’s, Lake Superior stopped freezing shore to shore. They then started warning about ‘Global Warming”. Then, in the mid 1990’s, even Superior started freezing shore to shore again. Yes, there have been a lot of changes to our winters, and that is normal. A dimwitted early 20’s cross country runner talking about his life experience in seeing that the 7 or 8 winters he observed have been different seems to be exactly the type of evidence the Democrats rely on.
Who is this guy and why is he testifying? Is he the most famous cross country runner in the country? Is his mom a member of Congress? Is he dating a member of ‘the Squad”? Please let me know.
We spend a lot of time at Lake Superior (Gitche Gumee, or simply The Gitch), Saxon Harbor and Little Girl’s Point, mostly. FWIW, I’ve swam in the North Pacific off Kodiak Island AK, but have never been in colder water than The Gitch in June.
During the early-mid aughts its level was down ~18″/45,72 cms; Global Warming (et al) they said. More recently, it’s up ~18″/45.72 cms; you’ll never guess why…
Ten (10) years ago, nearly to the day, The Gitch & its four (4) siblings were locked up by Record Ice Cover; heck there were icy slush bergs out there ’til mid July, inexplicably immune to, or rather, flipping off Global Warming.
