This has to be one of the most unlikely beneficiaries of the EA “Stop Making Me Defend…” series, though the alums are pretty awful. Biden and Trump lead with the most such posts, of course, with James Carville, both Clintons, Kamala Harris, Bill Maher, Tucker Carlson, NYC’s Eric Adams, Megan Rapinoe (yechhh), even Pete Rose and Louis Farakhan getting their due. RFK Jr., I would argue, is tied with the last miscreant in that list for having imparted no benefits on society whatsoever: at least Pete Rose was a great baseball player.
Third party presidential candidates with name recognition are blights on democracy. Teddy Roosevelt’s run gave us Woodrow Wilson. Ralph Nader and Pat Buchanan created the 2000 election debacle. Still, Teddy, Ralph and even Pat had genuine accomplishments on their records other than the fame and influence flowing from the boon of inherited wealth and a cult that worships a surname.
And yet…RFK was just slimed by people even more relentlessly unethical than he is: the Democratic National Committee.
During a news conference in Brooklyn, the 70-year-old independent candidate (above…remember when the Kennedys represented youth and beauty?) proposed that he and President Biden run a 50-state poll of at least 30,000 likely voters to determine whether he or Joe has the best chance of defeating the evil Donald Trump. “Ultimately, I think what we all want in this election is [for] Americans not to feel like they have to vote out of fear,” Kennedy said. “That they feel like they can vote out of hope. And that is only going to happen if there’s a two-way race between me and President Trump or me and President Biden.”
Yes, Bobby Jr. botched his own trolling attempt: how would that poll result in eliminating Trump from the race? Besides, the Democrats are already trying to do that by locking Trump away so he can’t run—Gee, be patient, BKJ! The wheels of Soviet-style justice turn slowly. What Kennedy was trying to propose is a poll to determine whether Bobby Baby (Baby Bobby?) or Joe are more likely to beat Trump in a head-to-head race, with the loser agreeing to withdraw and endorse the other.
The DNC got the message, garbled though it was, and here was its response: “Robert F. Kennedy Jr is a spoiler- recruited by the MAGA GOP and propped up by Trump’s largest donor. His ‘Veep’-like performance today does nothing to dispel that notion- it only reinforces how deeply unserious his campaign is,” DNC spokesperson Matt Corridoni replied.
Want to guess how much evidence there is that Kennedy was recruited to run by Republicans, MAGA or otherwise? Oh, just none. The DNC stated as fact a complete fabrication that simultaneously smears the Republican Party, Trump and Kennedy. (Right after stating it as fact, Corridoni called it a “notion.” Moron.) It’s as much of an unscrupulous conspiracy theory as Pizzagate, Trump “colluding” with Russia, and the Hunter Biden laptop being a hoax.

How can any intelligent person trust a party run by the Machiavellian hacks in charge of the DNC? It’s almost enough to make you want to vote for Bobby….

I am watching this Tony Gonzales/Brandon Herrera primary in Texas. Tony Gonzales, an anti-gun, open borders ‘Republican’ went on CNN (yes, a Republican that CNN likes) to state that Brandon Herrera is a ‘well known neo-Nazi’ and that ‘They used to go around at night in white hoods and now they go around in the daytime with white hoods’. This got speaker Mike Johnson to go to the district…to campaign for Tony Gonzalez. Johnson is calling for an end to primarying sitting Republican candidates. This is after Gonzalez criticized Republican lawmakers who wanted to secure the border as ‘Klansmen’. You have to love the uniparty.
Tony Gonzalez is so unpopular, he is fighting for his seat in the primary against someone who makes videos like this..

Herrera is well known in the YouTube gun world as the AK Guy, a gunsmith extremely knowledgeable about the AK family of guns (AK-47, AK-74, AKM, etc). He’s also friends with others on the circle like Garand Thumb, Demolition Ranch, Kentucky Ballistics.
He’s definitely not your average politician (watch some of his Gun Meme Review videos, for example), but I think he’s serious about true change.

I’m a bit confused, I thought one of the left’s mouthpieces at MSNBC, Nicolle Wallace, as recently as last week stated as fact that “all of the conspiracy theorists are Republicans” and then the political sheeple shepherds at the DNC come out with another transparent conspiracy theory narrative for their ignorant sheeple to parrot that completely disproves the claim of fact made by one of their very own propaganda mouthpieces. The heads of the left’s sheeples should be spinning in utter confusion or have they been indoctrinated to completely forget last week’s false propaganda narratives in favor of this week’s narratives?
Seriously; when are those in the political left going to realize that they are truly being played for fools by a bunch of morally bankrupt propagandists that are quite likely anti-American Orwellian totalitarians of are they going to simply follow them straight over the cliff into oblivion?
I am similarly stunned that anyone would put up with this.
They don’t care. All they care about is being in the ‘cool club’. When the revolution comes, the Party will recognize their dedication and reward them with useless bureaucratic positions and maybe a few slaves.
Random thought:
As a young lad, who had not yet reached voter status, I handed out pamphlets for his uncle. When I returned from Vietnam I wanted nothing to do with the Kennedy name or the Democratic party in general. However, I had still not yet reached voter status.
The 26th amendment lowered the voting age to 18 so that those of us who were shedding blood could have a say in where and why our blood would be shed.
With what is going on at the campuses we should consider repealing the 26th Amendement since none of the idiots would shed blood.
Related thought: the anti-war protests in 1968 were by mostly under 21 students who couldn’t affect the direction of national policy by voting but still had to suffer the effects of it. Now they can vote. That’s how you register objections as an adult citizen.
But… But… What if I vote and still get outvoted? The mere possibility that might happen means the system isn’t working!
To be fair, whereas there’s no direct evidence that Baby Bobby was recruited by MAGA forces, he has received $20 million from Timothy Melton, who contributed over $100 million to GOP candidates between the 2020 and 2022 elections, and who has also given $15 million to the MAGA super PAC. There is, perhaps, no smoking gun, but the aroma isn’t pleasant.
This is just Rush Limbaughesque tactics: conservatives with money to burn can reasonably (unethically, but still) conclude that having RFK in the race helps Trump, as I’ve always assumed it would. The DNC hack could have said “this guy is a gift to Trump and the MAGA gang” and I would have no quarrel with it. Or even “I wouldn’t be surprised if the MAGA Trumpists recruited the him!” “Robert F. Kennedy Jr is a spoiler- propped up by Trump’s largest donor!” would also be fair.

Never fear! The Dukes County (Martha’s Vineyard, MA) DA has convened a grand jury which is about to indict Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. for the murder of Mary Joe Kopechne. Problem solved!
Don’t say stuff like that. You will give them ideas. They might actually do this. Even if they have to pass a state law to allow it, they might do it.
I could not believe all the Kennedys showing up at the White House to pose for that photo with Joe to demonstrate they were true, blue Democrats who were willing to stab anyone who wanders off the reservation in the back. What a crew. Someone higher-up in the family must have threatened to withhold their monthly trust fund checks if they didn’t show up. And smile!
