In Case You Were Wondering: Yes, the Washington Post Is, In Its Panic, Even More Openly Pimping For Biden Than The New York Times

…which, you have to admit, is quite an achievement. It also is terrified of democracy and the just desserts its proper functioning portends, like the rest of the Axis of Unethical Conduct. For example, I am stunned that the Axis (“the resistance”/Democrats/ the mainstream media) is stooping to try to use a four year-old completely ambiguous incident involving the flying of the distress signal (and upside down U.S. flag) over the Alito home to argue for the Justice’s recusal from any of the Trump cases that may come the Supreme Court’s way. Senator Durbin, among the more shameless Senators, is beating that DOA metaphorical horse; depressingly, some of my Trump-Deranged colleagues in the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers are arguing that the complaint against Alito is valid, even though his wife flew the flag, and if she didn’t nobody can prove otherwise.

Nothing approaches, however, the Washington Post editorial on May 8th in which the paper directly stated in black-and-white that the threat of Donald Trump being elected was so dire that it justifies Machiavellian measures. “So trim your principles, Democrats, and pander away,” the Post concludes. ” Just remember: The only thing worse than playing Machiavelli for a good cause is playing Machiavelli for a good cause and losing.” This monstrosity actually appears to argue that its okay if Biden’s tactics to win the election ends up killing some blacks, as long as Trump is defeated. Collateral damage, I guess.

If the Post endorses Machiavellian methods to defeat Trump—the current lawfare being used against him in four criminal trials certainly qualifies as Machiavellian (or Stalinesque)—by the Biden Administration and Democrats, is there any doubt that the Post itself feels Machiavellian measures are called for in its own reporting?

Another sign at the Post that the faithful are freaking out is a hilarious piece by spectacularly Trump-Deranged Jennifer Rubin, an ardent conservative columnist before 2016 drove her mad and now about two steps removed from wearing a sack and carrying a sign that says “The End is Near!” Its title is “How Biden’s debate performance could blow open the race.” This is nothing but throwing nuggets of hope to desperate Trump haters so they won’t jump from TV towers.

Hmmm, how could Biden’s debate performance “blow open” the race? Well, he could show up speaking clearly and assertively, displaying the wit and erudition of a combination of Winston Churchill, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Oscar Wilde, Cato the Elder and Franklin Delano Roosevelt while showing his mastery of language, facts and history. I suppose he also might sing “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General” at breakneck speed and impeccable diction in Esperanto, dazzling everyone with his nimbleness of mind and tongue.

But he won’t. Biden’s only agreeing to a debate because he knows he’s losing, and hiding won’t work. There is always a good chance Trump will do himself in, but “Biden’s performance” will have nothing to do with it.

The hysteria is palpable among these unethical, awful people, who will risk shredding society, constitutional government and domestic peace if that’s what it takes to hold on to power and their dreams of a woke dictatorship in America.

  1. Winston Churchill, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Oscar Wilde, Cato the Elder and Franklin Delano Roosevelt

In a perfect world, those five (5) would be seated at my eight (8) person dinner table…so long as I was flanked by Rachel Welch and Barbara Hershey…with room for Samuel Clemens.

  2. something about this post deserves A Man For All Seasons quote.

    maybe this:

Just remember: The only thing worse than playing Machiavelli for a good cause is playing Machiavelli for a good cause and losing.”

    • Have you ever seen such a cynical, intellectually dishonest and casually corrupt piece? “The ends justify the means is wrong, but it’s really wrong if it doesn’t work.” Nice.

  3. In addition to drug testing and a check for hidden earpieces, Trump should add a requirement for two additional debates with arrangements favorable to HIM. Either acceptance or refusal by his puppeteers would be a likely loss for SloJo.

    • I saw the article headline about the Trump people wanting Joe to be drug tested. He was certainly hopped up on something for his State of the Union speech.
