Ultra-NYT Partisan Propagandist Provides A Terrific Example of the Ravages of Bias, Denial, and Bubble Dwelling

I find this article incredible, even from Ezra Klein, one of the most openly and proudly biased partisan hacks in captivity. How could he write this swill? Is he really that delusional? How could the Times publish it? Do the editors not see how foolish it makes the paper look?

Read this thing. I have a pay wall free link here, though I almost feel like it’s an insulting gift for you. The headline is “Seven Theories for Why Biden Is Losing (and What He Should Do About It).” Theories for why Biden is losing? Who needs to search for theories unless their heads are so burrowed into their nether regions that they can lick their intestines. Theories? Here are facts:

1. Biden has been a terrible President by any quantitative measure, even by his own criteria. (For example, he pledged to reduce division, and has intentionally exacerbated it). His administration is flopping around like a fish on a dock.
2. His DEI cabinet, VP and other hires (like the ridiculously incompetent press secretary ) are daily reminders that his party and he place group identity over accountability, competence, experience and merit.

3. He’s obviously declining mentally, and any fool can see he’s too old to hold any job, much less the most difficult one in the country.

4. Prices have soared since he took office, and everyone is reminded of that fact every time they shop for groceries. The Democrats can spin, deny and lie about how great the economy is all day, but they can’t get around a 25% increase in food prices since Trump was President.

5. Biden has embraced illegal immigration even more than Barack Obama did. Gaslighting by his cabinet no longer works.

6. The politicization of the justice system on the federal and state level is obvious and ominous.

7. Biden’s foreign policy has consisted of betraying allies, abandoning commitments, and spending billions the nation cannot afford to deal ineffectively with crises a competent leader might have averted. And this came from a President who promised to restore American prestige abroad.

8. His term has been a catalysts for racist, sexist, and anti-Semitic hiring, policies and initiatives.

9. Biden lies (or misstates reality ) constantly, while his supporters continue to declare Trump a particularly intolerable liar.

10. His administration increasingly acts according to traditional totalitarian formulas.

11. His party is emulating the Soviet Union and other dictatorships by trying to hold power by prosecuting political opponents.

12. The public no longer trusts the news media sufficiently for its slanted reporting and biased agenda to hide the ineptitude of Biden’s leadership. Klein’s column is flaming proof of why this is so.

Oh, this list could go on and on, but those are enough to make the point that Klein’s channeling of Hilary’s pathetic “Why am I not 50 points ahead?” lament is either spectacularly dishonest or pathological. His essay is self-indicting, and I don’t feel like fisking it when you could have that fun yourself, but permit me to point out such an obvious example of blind hypocrisy that attention must be paid.

“Trump’s flagrant violations of democratic norms and basic decency often overshadow the banal ways in which he governed, or let others govern, in cruel, stupid and corrupt ways,” Klein writes. “Right now, the Biden campaign has much more money than the Trump campaign; it should be using it to redefine Trump in the ways that matter to the voters they need.”

Hilarious. The Biden administration and the Democratic Party are literally engaging in the most stunning violation of democratic norms outside of wartime by orchestrating prosecutions of their primary political opponent, and their mouthpieces like Klein are still flogging the “democratic norms ” Big Lie to impugn Trump. I’ve written about this ad nauseam; even I’m sick of it, but the media’s hacks keep pretending that Trump uniquely broke with unwritten rules and laws and Biden has been any better, when he has in fact been worse. And Klein really writes now, after his colleagues have spent more than eight years vilifying Trump and defining him as Hitler, a monster, a fascist, a racist, an idiot, a “reality TV star,” an existential threat to the existence of the nation, that Biden needed to re-define him?

Here is my “theory” about why Biden is losing: he, his party, and his lackeys in the news media, either due to delusion, confirmation bias, corruption, stupidity, denial or all of those, have become incapable of comprehending the nation, the public, right and wrong, cause and effect, or reality.

  1. just letting you know that I read the post, and the article, and the post again.

trying to figure out if I have anything useful to say.

  2. I really do not know what to say about that article, except, dear lord we have another 6 months of this sort of drivel.

Jack, bless you for reading the NYT so we don’t have to expose our brains to it.

    • DG, if Trump wins, it will be six months, plus at least four more. I doubt it will even stop after he’s out of office after his second term. But I continue to doubt the Democrats will allow him to be elected this fall. They control the ballot box and the ballots.

  3. Ezra Klien came to the Times from Vox, which Victor Davis Hanson aptly calls “The Young Adult Section.” His wife still writes there. There’s nothing to be surprised about in The Times anymore. It should be renamed “The Park Slope Times.” It’s now nothing more than Brooklyn’s hipster paper of record.
