Well, some, anyway…
Jamaal Bowman (that’s him caught on video setting off a false fire alarm to halt a House vote) lost the House District 16 primary in New York to a veteran Democrat who knows the difference between a fire alarm and and a door. The average IQ of the House just went up several points. The assumption is that it was his aggressive support for Gaza and Hamas against Israel that sunk him; if so, his loss is an example of voters doing the right thing for the wrong reasons. The man is ignorant, dishonest, and dumb as a shingle.
To temper one’s joy at this development, I must note that Lauren Boebert, one of the more embarrassing members of the House from the other side of the aisle, won her primary in Colorado’s 4th District.
Meanwhile, in the special hypocrisy category, John Avlon won the Democratic nomination for the U.S. House in New York’s 1st Congressional District. Avlon, a former CNN commentator and a columnist for The Daily Beast for years, was an early target of Ethics Alarms for his promotion of a “No Labels” movement, which was really a “Democrats who want to pretend they aren’t partisan who use labels like ‘wingnuts’ against conservatives while accusing them of engaging in name-calling.” He’s a phony, but, to look on the bright side, he’s smarter than Boebert and Bowman would be if you soldered their two brains together. And, true to form, he was happy to take the label of “Democrat,” when it suited his purposes, not that his “No Labels” posturing fooled anyone.
Ethics Alarms 
I came here right after I saw the news on Legal Insurrection.
Their first cited tweet showed how Bowman was handling his seat being under threat:

Some people in Congress knew how to take down a challenge and never raise their voices. Others just did not suffer fools gladly. This guy is basically just a street thug. Unfortunately, I think the only way to get rid of the rest of the squad is by extreme measures.
Oh, like Bowman, each have within them the seeds of their own destruction, mostly hubris, corruption, and or stupidity. Their days are numbered.
I dunno about that, the others seem to have grown out of communities that will elect them for life. There is great admiration for some of them among some, one of my colleagues refers to AOC, Omar, and Tlaib as “the three sisters” who will change everything for the better. Sure they will. And I thought “sisters” was only a reference among black people to other black people, in this case female, usually of the same faith. AOC, a Puerto Rican, and Tlaib, an Arab, sure as hell aren’t “sisters,” and Omar (aka Congresswoman Pull-Start) a foreign-born muzzie, wouldn’t be a “sister” to most American blacks.
Steve, I’ve read Cori Bush and Ilan Omar are both being seriously challenged in their primaries. There may be hope on those two fronts.

Correction: Boebert won the CD-4 primary. This congressional district is new to her. She moves from southwest Colorado to eastern Colorado with some parts of the Denver suburbs.
Her previous district was 3, not 6. 6 is currently occupied by democrat pansy Jason Crow who is a gun dunce and takes cover when he hears voices in the US Capitol building.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! In fairness though, I didn’t trust myself at first and made sure to double check my facts before posting. But my civics lessons are in fact up to date. (good on me!)
