Ethics Villain: Former NYC Pandemic Lockdown Czar Dr. Jay Varma

We can now add this shameless creep to the list of powerful state and municipal hypocrites—they are too many to list, but EA spotlighted some of them— who violated their own excessive pandemic restrictions because, after all, they are better than the little people, and because they could. I’m filing all of them with the health officials who announced that letting Black Lives Matter disrupt cities and government functions while doing millions of dollars in damage made the racist, Marxist group immune from the restrictions on church gatherings, funeral and family gatherings.

Jay Varma, however, is special.

Dr. Jay Varma was the senior advisor for public health in New York City under Mayor Bill de Blasio, another ethics villain. Varma imposed extraordinary restrictions on public outings, gatherings, and personal activities. But a video has been released showing Varma admitting that he ignored his own policies to attend sex parties. A spokesman for Varma told CBS News New York he and his wife held two sex parties in a hotel with friends after he had banned such gatherings; Varma also admitted participating in a dance party with about 200 people underneath a Wall Street bank in June of 2021.

Varma was fired as executive vice president and chief medical officer at SIGA Technologies after confirming the reports about the video. Good. But it’s not enough. There have not been adequate consequences for any of these power abusing, elitist totalitarians and liars.

  1. Because there are no actual consequences for government officials who commit crimes and individuals such as Varma, the circle of crimes keeps churning and escalating. All the never-ending corruption is a good reason why the States are rated in the third-class arena.
I wish I could find the speech Trump made at one of the States rallies where he comments saying he could have charged Hillary Clinton, but he would not because you do not do that to a President’s wife. There is an actual two-sided legal system in America.

  2. Regarding the group that exposed him, Varma decried the “dangerous extremist efforts to undermine the public confidence…”

It certainly undermined the public’s confidence in Jay Varma.

  3. Cue the inestimable Bugs Bunny: “Uh, What’s up, Doc?”

Sex parties? Surely you jest. Wasn’t this within the time period experts told us the Wuhan Flu could be transmitted by, er, exchanging bodily fluids?

And a dance party? But people couldn’t go to church?

    Sex parties?.

  4. I like this part from the article:

“Varma said the video was a result of his having been ‘”‘targeted by an operative for an extremist right-wing organization determined to malign public health officials and take down the public health system in America.'”‘

“‘In those private conversations that were secretly recorded, spliced, diced, and taken out of context, I referred to events that transpired four years ago. I served in City Hall between April 2020 – May 2021. During that time, I participated in two private gatherings. I take responsibility for not using the best judgment at the time,’ Varma said in a statement. ‘Facing the greatest public health crisis in a century, our top priority was to save lives, and every decision made was based on the best available science to keep New Yorkers safe. I stand by my efforts to get New Yorkers vaccinated against COVID-19, and I reject dangerous extremist efforts to undermine the public’s confidence in the need for and effectiveness of vaccines.'”

So awesome. It is nice to know we have such committed civil servants looking out for our best interests.

    • “I take responsibility for not using the best judgment at the time.” What a turd. Where’s that on the apology list? It’s the old “an error in judgement.” You’re damned straight it was an error in judgement. You fucked up. You’re an idiot. Admit it, asshole.

  5. What all of this tells you is that COVID was NOT the public health crisis they made it out to be. If it was, these people wouldn’t be exposing themselves to the risk of exposure by having sex parties or attending 200-person raves. The COVID measures were a compliance exercise. It was there to see who would comply with excessive and nonsensical regulations, no matter what the legality, if ordered by an authority. We just conducted a huge Milgram experiment and we all now know where we stand. If anyone in this country wondered what they would do in Nazi Germany in the 1930’s, they know now.

    • Again, sex parties? Are you kidding? Are we in the late stages of the fall of the Roman Empire? Elites are having sex parties? Licensed physicians? Not just Diddy?

      • Again, as Judeo-Christian morality fades, pagan morality will take over. Power and pleasure will be the main focus in life as it was in Rome and other such societies.
