The Axis of Unethical Conduct—“the resistance,” Democrats and the mainstream media—have sensed the movement toward Donald Trump and away from Kamala Harris, and not counting its members who are in pure denial, it is, to use the technical term, “freaking out.” The next week should be something: it’s “throw it on the wall and see if it sticks, we can’t be any worse off” time.
For example,
- Harris pretty clearly made up the story of her McDonald’s service, so Trump expertly trolled her by arranging to serve a stint as McDonald’s employee. Freakout. Axis hysterics screamed that it was staged. (Of course it was.) Outlets tracked down workers to criticize Trump’s frying techniques. Then, this weekend, we got this desperate effort:
No shame or decency at all.
- Suddenly several commentators started the narrative that “Trump never laughs or jokes” and is all gloom and doom, while Harris is (this again) “joyful.” I wonder who put that memo out? An idiot, whoever it was. I think I’m qualified to know when someone is a competent performer and knows how to get laughs and kid around: people who hate Trump can’t see it, but he’s frequently funny, has a sense of irony and the absurd, and has excellent timing in delivering a gag. Most good comedians don’t laugh while they are performing (Red Skelton was a famous exception). The Marx Brothers didn’t laugh at their own gags; Seinfeld doesn’t, Don Rickles didn’t. The ideal technique is to appear be serious saying funny things. I’ve coached speakers in this. In contrast, Harris’s infamous laugh is like a Valley Girl’s giggle: it signals insecurity and weakness, not “joy.” It’s bad habit someone should have broken her of long ago. I was frankly amazed the Axis would even float such an obviously backwards criticism.
- Talk about freakouts! Jonathan Alter went on MSNBC and did his imitation of the worst moment in “The Birds”:
Yes Alter, permanently on my Ignore List because on Election Night 2000 he revealed that he didn’t understand the Electoral College, was promoting his anti-Trump book and ranted in part,
Well, he has the worst character of any man who has held the office of the presidency, full stop. Nobody else is even close. Richard Nixon isn’t even close. And so he’s just a despicable, cruel, lying person. And this is what is so — the reason I call it, you know, “Inside Trump’s Trial and My Own,” is that I’m having my own American reckoning in trying to come to terms with how this country, which was founded on the idea of not just freedom and democracy, but basic decency — how we could be in this place where we have this man who lacks all of the most elemental qualities of character that the founders knew were important if we were going to have a successful republic…you can’t not do something to keep this man from coming back to office. He’s that evil, and I use that word very intentionally. If you take the totality of the record, it’s an evil record.
(What did President Trump do in his four years that qualifies as “evil”? ) Not only doesn’t Alter know about the Electoral College, he doesn’t know Presidential history and character. I do. Without breaking a brain-sweat, I can say without hesitation that many Presidents had worse character than Trump, in some cases much worse. I would put Jefferson, Jackson, Cleveland, Wilson, FDR, JFK, Nixon and Clinton in that category. Alter is so off-base it qualifies as negligent misinformation.
Alter was so unprofessional and unhinged, a legitimate news channel would have been obligated to have him pulled off the set by men in white coats…but this was MSNBC.
- Here’s a Harris supporter who felt justified in screaming in the face of a toddler! What will she do if Trump wins?
- Tim Walz, whom I believe will go down in history as one of the worst VP picks in history, picked up the wacko Axis talking point that Trump having a rally in Madison Square Garden today proves he’s Hitler. “There is a direct parallel to a big rally that happened in the mid 1930’s at Madison Square Garden, and do not think that he does not know for one second exactly what he is doing,” this silly man told a Harris gathering. The Democratic National Convention has held its convention at the Garden since the 1930’s.

Can you believe how stupid MSNBC thinks its viewers are? (Or how stupid they may really be. perhaps?)
This is the epitome of hysteria.
But it’s going to get worse.

A week from tomorrow this nation is going to pick who is going to lead it for the next 4 years. Bar a stunning reversal or a very big surprise, it is looking more and more like that person will be Donald Trump in his delayed second term. America has seen the Harris Walz ticket and doesn’t like what it sees.
The fact of the matter is that the Democratic ticket has run out of ideas. The ticket has run out of ideas because they were afraid more likely determined not to talk too much about their ideas, because they knew they wouldn’t appeal to the average American. The average American simply does not like the idea of the gates of this country being flung wide open to anyone who wants to come here. The average American does not like the idea of having to pony up even more of his paycheck not to get better service or even the same service, but to essentially buy the votes of others.
The average American has seen what the last four years accomplished and heard Harris say she wouldn’t have changed a thing. She wouldn’t have changed anything, from the pouring of huge sums of money into the economy that led to inflation, to draining the strategic petroleum reserves, to the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that probably helped prompt the Russian assault on Ukraine and Hamas’s assault on Israel. The questioner gave her a chance to walk away from this and to show that she had greater wisdom. She couldn’t or wouldn’t take it. That speaks volumes about her judgment or lack thereof.
We’re a week out from the election and they are resorting to the overused and just untrue accusation that Trump is Hitler. He isn’t and wasn’t and anyone who had their eyes open from 2017 to 2020 knows that. Their own Mayors and governors are saying ridiculous things, like Kathy Hochul saying that the rally last night at Madison square garden was the equivalent of a surrender by Trump because he knows he’s not going to win. I do not know whether that was denial or a lie, but I do not think that something that massive was a farewell or a surrender speech.
Someone else I saw accused Trump of wearing proud boys colors last night. It is true that he wore black and gold instead of his usual red and blue. It’s also true that they have introduced a new version of the maga hat with gold lettering on a black background. I say so what? Black and gold are a fairly common combination of colors, and it may just have been an attempt to sell new merchandise since fans will want the latest hat. Trump has never been associated with the proud boys and never will be unless you are still pushing that “fine people” legend from seven years ago.
Who are we kidding here? Almost everything that the left has thrown at Trump has failed to cause him to even lose a step. Not trying to bankrupt him, not trying to deny him the use of the court system, not enabling sexual partners from decades ago to try to settle old scores, not trying to put him in jail, not every vicious lie they could come up with. The left certainly hasn’t been able to beat him on policy because their policies and the results of those policies have been terrible. So now they are reduced to threadbare and overused accusations and criticizing his wardrobe to prove that he really is a Nazi.
There is no denying that the vision of America that the Democratic party is trying to sell is a lie and a fantasy. In their America everyone pays their fair share and helps those who need it. In their America no one is turned away and everyone who comes here brings something good to add to the ever richer diversity. In their America the police almost never have to resort to violence because most police actions are simply the result of a misunderstanding. In their America, the white man knows his place, and that place is serving the women and people of color in apology for what went before.
I could keep going, but I think you get the point. This fantasy hasn’t materialized and America’s cities are almost all the way back to the bad old days of the 70s. However, the left says, if you give them four more years, and four more years after that, and so forth, eventually we’ll get there. We’ve all seen what’s become of the long time Democratic cities were Republican can’t be elected dog catcher, and it isn’t near that fantasy and never has been. Don’t let this party sell you a bill of goods in the hopes of retaining power when power is all they care about.

The Pittsburgh Steelers wear black and gold. “Black gold” is a sentence fragment in the opening jingle for “The Beverly Hillbillies” TV show. This weekend we drove to eastern Iowa, and accompanying us was a tidal wave of cars donning black and gold, trucks donning black and gold, and their occupants wearing black and gold, all going to yell and scream in support of their Iowa Hawkeyes, whose colors are black and gold.
Proud? All of them to a man and woman…yes!!
Proud Boys? I highly doubt it. Iowa City (the home of the Iowa Hawkeyes) is THE most liberal city in Iowa. It’s the Madison, WI of Iowa. It votes at something like 72% Democrat. It takes 40% of the remaining counties in the state to right Johnson County’s leftward tilt. If color were a symbol of something racist, the Hawkeyes would have become “the Flamingos” years ago.
As for the McDonalds photo, I’d “rather” love to hear what Dan Rather thinks.

I have heard on numerous occasions that by voting for Trump certain groups are voting against their own interests. And then they call Trump the narcissist. It seems to me that someone who votes against their own interests in order to advance something bigger than themselves is the patriot.

Did you see that several Muslim leaders, including the 1st Muslim mayor of Hamtramck, MI endorsed Trump. The Muslim leaders are saying that Trump may favor Israel and Jews, but he wants peace in the Middle East and the unchecked immigration is destroying the country.
The good Lefties in Hamtramck elected a Muslim majority city council and a Muslim mayor and were then shocked when LGBTQ+++++ flags were banned from city flagpoles during Pride Summer.
