“…And that’s the millionth reason I’m fervently hoping and desperately praying that Harris prevails. I believe Biden to be a good man who has done much good for us…”
—Long-time progressive NYT pundit Frank Bruni in one of the “Harris must win, Trump is terrible” stories and columns in the Times today.
I counted 11 of the latter. Twelve. Nah, there’s no mainstream media bias! Whatever would make you think that?
Bruni has been a member of the Times staff and editorial board for 25 years. Res ipsa loquitur. The Times has at least one (they have, in truth, many) columnist who had a regular platform to spread his biases and misconceptions, and he thinks (or says he thinks) Joe Biden is a good man. Right. There are few politicians of such longevity who have ever left such an unambiguous record of not being a good man, woman, or public servant. Since I’m not writing a book, I’ll just list the bits of Joe’s biography that stick out for me at the moment:
- He plagiarized—as in stole outright—another politician’s speech about his background, meaning that Biden stole the other politician’s life story. It was an Irish politician, so Biden thought he could get away with it.
Good men do not do this. Even once.
- Biden showered with his daughter. She says this, and would presumably know.
Good men do not do this. Even once.
- Biden routinely gropes, sniffs and fondles girls and young women, and a staffer accused him, on the record, of finger-raping her.
Good men do not do this. Even once.
- Biden told a black audience that if Mitt Romney defeated Barack Obama, Republicans would put them back “in chains.”
Good men do not do this. Even once.
- Biden repeats the same lies over and over again, like saying that it wasn’t legal to own a cannon in the 18th century, and that Trump said that white supremacists are “very fine people.” He’s been “factchecked” repeatedly, and still spits these lies out whenever it suits him.
Good men do not do this. Not repeatedly.
- Biden facilitated his son’s influence-peddling by letting Hunter sell “access” to his powerful father. It doesn’t matter whether Biden actually did anything for his son’s clients. He was a willing participant in the influence peddling schemes.
Good men do not do this. Even once.
- Biden pulled a bait-and-switch on the voting public, promising to unite the country, promising to govern as a moderate, then handing policy over to the radical leftists on his staff and deliberately dividing the nation.
Good men do not do this…
..even once.
- Biden installed one unqualified, undistinguished, ambitious hack after another in crucial roles in the government for no other justification than their color, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation, and seemingly exercised no oversight whatsoever, which would have required firing many of them. He would rather have the nation suffer because of their incompetence than face the anger of his party’s power-humgry tribes.
Good men do not do this…well, not responsible and trustworthy good men.
- Biden claims to be a devout Catholic who accepts the Church’s teachings, including the sanctity of unborn human life, yet he aggressively supports abortion, which by his own alleged values constitutes murder. He supports what his faith regards as murder to get votes.
Good men do not do this. Even once.
- Knowing that he was declining mentally and physically, Biden allowed his staff, his party and the news media to cover up his condition, and to deny what was clear to all who worked closely with him. He was prepared to engage in the ultimate selfish and irresponsible act, running for an office he knew he was no longer capable of handling competently.
Good men do not do this.
Finally, “good men” do not call half the nation “garbage” because it dares to be critical of him and his party. Not even once.
There is much, much more, as you doubtless know. I can only assume that Bruni, like so many of his unethical colleagues, has only one standard for what qualifies an individual as good: Are they Democrats and progressives? That’s enough, apparently.
Joe Biden is walking and mumbling proof that this is a fallacy.

Biden attempted a high-tech lynching on Clarence Thomas.
Yep. That’s one that popped into my mind as well.
Tara Reade would like a word.
I need to go to the eye doctor from rolling my eyes at the people who think that Biden (or Harris) represent integrity, honor, or anything resembling good character. Harris won’t even outline her policy ambitions because she knows it will lose her votes. Her very approach to governing is “Just trust me, I know what’s best for you.”
Yawn…yeah yeah sure, all of Jack’s criticism may be true but Trump is literally the reincarnation of Hitler so I’m voting for the woman who grew up in a middle class family. Says the average brainwashed dem voter who still believes the MSM is trustworthy.
Politics and especially presidential politics are really just a form of psychological warfare. This has probably always been true to one degree or another but the blatant morphing of the dem party into the party of the NWO has overtly crystalized this phenomenon.
Thanks to all of the alternative news sources online; people ARE waking up and that is why the dems/MSM are doing whatever they can to rig the upcoming election. One can only hope that Trump has positive numbers too massive to alter without being obvious. The future of our (mostly) free country as we know it is literally at stake if for no other reason but open borders.
Have a nice day and keep the faith…🤠
Good men do not let their vicious, Lady MacBeth wives push them around like a corpse on wheels so those vicious wives can get her due.
Good men also have principles. They don’t change with the political wind. Biden has shown himself to be more unprincipled than most. In 1994 he was all for the anti-terrorism and effective death penalty act, now suddenly he’s against the death penalty and thinks it’s racist. He used to at least try to thread the needle on abortion, now he’s all for it. The list goes on and on. Anyone who thinks he is a good man is an idiot. Then again, I knew this writer was an idiot a long time ago when he wrote a long article about how Hillary should run for mayor of New York specifically so she could give Trump a hard time by abusing the power of that office.
Good men (and their administrations) don’t do this:

This is the one I have a problem with:
“Knowing that he was declining mentally and physically, Biden allowed his staff, his party and the news media to cover up his condition, and to deny what was clear to all who worked closely with him. He was prepared to engage in the ultimate selfish and irresponsible act, running for an office he knew he was no longer capable of handling competently.”
I have a hard time reconciling my condemnation of the Democratic Party machine for running a demented old man, with a condemnation of Biden for running.
“The first rule of the Dunning–Kruger club is you don’t know you’re a member of the Dunning–Kruger club.”
If his presidency was a form of elder abuse (I think he never should have run and should have been prevented from running by any person that truly cared for his interests), I won’t blame him for not realizing he is a demented old man.
Unfortunately, that absolution would carry over to many of the other stupid things he did while in office, including his stupid “garbage” comment.
But, his family and his entire party should suffer all of the consequences that follow from their complicity in this farce.
That is where the blame belongs.

Having dealt with people sliding into dementia, I am confident that the normal course is to understand what is going on early enough not to take on tasks that the individual won’t be able to do competently. Biden’s interview with Stepanopoulos was that of a man in denial, but also a man who was lying his rapidly emptying head off. Yes, his families and aides should have stopped him fro running (in 2020 as well, when he was obviously in decline), but I can’t exonerate Joe. I have too many examples of good men who handled the exact situation responsibly.
Of course, all of them were smarter than Joe ever was to begin with.
Jack, “Yes, his families and aides should have stopped him from running (in 2020 as well, when he was obviously in decline), but I can’t exonerate Joe. I have too many examples of good men who handled the exact situation responsibly.”
But, did those men have supportive families that were willing to tell the truth? Was that even needed in those case, or did those good men grasp their deficiencies? I can see Hunter and Jill just encouraging him to keep going, whether out of ambition (the likely reason) or (to be extremely generous) they had trouble coping with his decline. Considering the Democratic Party’s history of hiding the health of its presidents from the American people, it would not surprise me if NO ONE stepped in to protect Joe, not even Jill, and especially not Hunter.
But, you probably have much more experience around this than I do.

Jut, revisit “King Lear.” Dementia comes and goes in its earlier stages. Joe had to know what was happening to his mind, and most likely still does from time to time.
I was going to mention Lear, except they booted him from power in one of the early acts.
Not so with Joe. In a Democratic Republic, Hunter is neither a Cordelia or Goneril.
but Jill may play a believable Lady MacBeth.
