How Unprofessional and Incompetent Is Karine Jean-Pierre? THIS Unprofessional and Incompetent…

I was going to shut down EA for the day since the previous post was both depressing and exhausting, then I stumbled across this to which, as Mrs. Loman says at the end of “Death of a Salesman,” “Attention should be paid.”

A national security expert was prepared to brief reporters on the breaking news of a tentative Israel-Hamas cease-fire yesterday, but Biden Paid Liar Karine Jean-Pierre refused to allow him to take the mic, forcing reporters and the nation to wait an extra hour before hearing the details of the American hostages being released, including their names. National security adviser Jake Sullivan personally asked Jean-Pierre to permit his top spokesman, John Kirby, address reporters moments after Biden announced the deal. She refused because, insiders say, it was her final White House briefing and she regarded it as her “farewell party.”

A source in the White House told the New York Post, “She kinda marketed it as a celebration of her and her tenure and unfortunately that took precedence over huge breaking news — and we haven’t had this kind of news in this administration for a long time.”

For 51 minutes, Jean-Pierre babbled on without allowing details about the cease fire to be discussed. It was her moment to be celebrated because she is historic (black, female, gay), although her real distinction is that she has been the most incompetent White House press secretary since the position was created.

“I thought at the last minute she would just break and say, ‘OK, fine, [John Kirby] can just come at the top and he can leave, and then I can wax poetic about my time here, and then I don’t really even have to answer any questions and be grilled on anything,’” the Post’s source said.“But she really wanted to make a point that the briefing room was ‘hers’…She looks silly, and God help her in whatever she does next…”

(Karine always looks silly.)

“Not allowing actual news to be delivered from the podium on such an important day for the President and the world for your own ego is disgraceful,” a longtime Biden aide added. “I am not sure there is someone that did more damage to the President’s reputation than her — it is really sad.”

Oh boy, that’s a tough field. Biden himself has to take the prize, though.

An outraged reporter who attended the briefing said it was “totally unsurprising behavior from someone who was either incapable of recognizing her own shortcomings or unwilling or unable to put in the work required to overcome them.” I think the word that reporter was looking for is “and” not “or.”

So who hired her? She has been an embarrassment from the beginning: why wasn’t she fired long ago? Oh, right: Biden didn’t fire anyone, and as a historic paid liar, she was immune from accountability anyway in this DEI obsessed administration. Jean-Pierre, however, may be the worst of the worst based on this indefensible stunt: a press secretary who blocks the announcement of important White House news because she wants to be the center of attention. The Post also says that Jean-Pierre was particularly untouchable because she is close with Al Sharpton.

DEI and the rejection of merit for group-based hiring and advancement creates these monsters, people who are deluded into believing they are good at their jobs and deserving of their status when they obviously are not. Like Karine, they reach levels that surpass their own competence; in her case it must have been one after another, for I can’t imagine what the job would be that someone with her limitations could excel at. It boggles the mind to think that anyone so obviously inept as this woman could possibly believe her final briefing in her disastrous tenure was worthy of a celebration unless it was a “Good-bye and Good Riddance” party.

  1. I don’t know, Jack. According to the mentality that hired her, she did a fantastic job as press secretary because she remained black, female, and gay the entire way through. If something had happened to remove any of those “historic first” marks, then she would have been a failure, but the cosmos favored her by keeping her consistent. It is absolutely frightening and worrisome that anyone would speak of her shortcomings, because actual performance is irrelevant, and it is wrongthink to even suggest people should be judged on matters outside their control. After all, she has no power (she is a victim, after all) to change how all her oppressors think of her.

Okay, give me a moment. Hack, heave, blaaaargh, spit… I keep trying to wrap my brain around a worldview that sees DEI as something good. As near as I can tell, it is a dark world suffused with powerlessness, resent, and complete self-absorption. Competence is a virtue in the context of our capacity to provide goods or services to other people. It is irrelevant if the job is about other people giving me, not even my due, but what I want.

    • That’s an outstanding comment, Ryan. This is largely the conclusion I’ve come to. These phenomena are not shortcomings, they are achievements. Ten million illegal entrants is not a problem, it is an accomplishment. A press secretary who can’t articulate anything is not an accident, it’s something to crow about. This is George Soros writ large. These people want chaos so they can usher in the new order. Creepy.

Well, sure . . . but if in fact she had NOT remained female (what does that mean, anyway?), then she’d have added “trans” to her list of firsts and I’m sure that would have totally been worth putting all other news on hold so that the White House could celebrate stunning, brave Karine!

    • She’s been auditioning for that gig since she first stepped up to the podium.

What a pity for her that the payscale for Washington-Dirtbags-Turned-Pundit is cratering, and that MSNBC is on the auction block.

      • If that was an audition, it was a lousy one. Except for Al Sharpton, MSNBC still requires some minimal competence. Being a racist is fine (like Joy Reid); being a liar is required, but you still have to be good at it (See: Rachel Maddow). Karine is not.

        • Strange things happen, when you’re a liar for a lying Regime, where everybody is required to support The Lie, and anybody who threatens to expose The Lie can be censored or silenced. Eventually, you start to get really bad at lying. At the same time, you get really bad at judging who’s actually and good at lying. Think of the North Koreans who tell ludicrous tales of Dear Leader never needing to urinate or defecate.

So maybe there’s hope for her yet

        • Worth noting that there’s been no mention of offering her a job. Jennifer Psaki announced she was leaving after about 13 months on the job, straight into the waiting arms of MSNBC. Jean-Pierre has been on the job more than twice that long. Presumably, if MSNBC really wanted her, they’d already have taken her.

You know better than anyone here that the mere fact that someone shows up for an audition is no guarantee that they’ll get the part.
