Hilarious Unethical Quote Of the Month And Maybe 2025 (It’s Too Soon To Tell…)

“Nobody Elected Elon!”

—The slogan of the hysterical protest outside the Treasury building today, an unusually stupid demonstration even by stupid demonstration standards. Every speaker there—Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, the outrageous Jasmine Crockett and others—gets “credit” for the slogan whether they actually said those exact words or not.

The experiment Democrats seem to be engaged in is apparently designed to determine just how ignorant, gullible and stupid the American public is. If they are not as stupid as the Democrats hope, they just might see this demonstration and the mass freakout over President Trump really doing what he promised to do and doing it faster than anybody expected as the ultimate proof of his opposition’s weakness and desperation.

No, Musk wasn’t elected. Neither were powerful Presidential aides, advisors, envoys, assistants, “czars,” First Ladies and other delegates, representatives and agents of Presidents of the United States going all the way back to George Washington. Listing them would be a silly and time consuming exercise, but such a list would include Abigail Adams, Eleanor Roosevelt, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Reagan, Sherman Adams, Colonel House, John Hay, FDR’s “Brain Trust,” Ed Meese, Ted Sorenson, Roger Ailes, Rahm Emanuel and many others. None of them were elected, of course; neither are the Justices on the Supreme Court. We’ve had two Presidents who weren’t elected, George Washington and Gerald Ford. Since the Vice-President has only two Constitutional duties, to preside over the Senate and to be ready to take over when a President is disabled or dies, delegating policy areas to a VP is giving him jobs he or she wasn’t elected to do. It is pretty clear by now that Joe Biden was being manipulated by unelected persons unknown for four years.

Democrats complaining that Elon Musk wasn’t elected isn’t the pot calling the kettle black, it’s the pot calling the kettle a pot. The catalyst for this meltdown was Musk and Trump finally blowing the whistle on USAID, which is also unelected, and part of the Executive Branch that President Trump has the power and right to manage—or to delegate the job of managing it to whomever he chooses. The agency was undeniably out of control and wasting taxpayer money with grants for Peruvian transgender comic book program, an opera in Colombia to increase “transgender representation in the arts,” a half-million dollars “to expand atheism in Nepal,” and promoting electric cars in Vietnam. Any organization showing such poor judgment can’t be trusted with taxpayer funds. The only rational course is to shut it down until it can be reformed.

A President has the power, right and precedent to select anyone he chooses to be his agent for large tasks or small. President Trump has done this with full transparency about Musk, something most Presidents have failed to do with their key advisors. (Abigail Adams was almost certainly responsible for the Alein and Sedition Acts.) This freak-out by the Axis is approaching epic “It isn’t what it is” proportions: on MSNBC, former Biden Administration paid liar Jen Psaki really and truly said, “What is happening now is a hostile takeover of the U.S. government.”

How can anyone defend that assertion? An elected President is exercising the power he was given by the people in a free election; he is fulfilling the mission he set for himself and that voters gave him the mandate to advance. How is that “hostile”?

What we are really seeing is the self-unmasking of a party that does not believe in democracy, one that thought it had gained permanent control of the culture and its values, and that is now in full scale panic.

  1. The only thing that really matters is that Kamala wasn’t elected, and trump was.

But hey, dems, keep it up! How is your frantic hyperbole and disruptive behavior working out for you? Your public approval percentage is dropping by the hour, and your MSM shills are wondering what they’ll do when their audience shares approach zero and the backdoor public funding for their favorite services dries up. You’ve tried for years to brand yourselves as the party of “common sense” (as in gun control), but your brand is in tatters, and the Republicans, even with as flawed a leader as Trump, are now considered the reasonable ones, especially when compared to your ongoing clown show. Some of your tribe have been trying to warn you recently, but you ignore them.

    Please DO carry on.

  2. “Democrats complaining that Elon Musk wasn’t elected isn’t the pot calling the kettle black, it’s the pot calling the kettle a pot.”

This is exactly right. Democrats have no problem with unelected official put in place by Presidents who follow their agenda.

You might say that Trump is engaging in a Presidential norm.

  3. That’s right, an unelected official has no right to come in and disrupt the work of unelected people who are stealing us blind. We need to go back to being ruled by the unelected bureaucrats that are loyal to the Democratic Party, just like when Joe was ‘President’.

Just like last time, the real complaint is the Trump is trying to actually be President instead of leaving it in the hands of the Deep State. This protest is as sensical as the people flying Mexican flags, stomping on US flags, and demanding that they can’t be sent back to Mexico because they want to stay here.

  4. Ah, the sweet aroma of Musk. It’s irresistible!!

I would love it if the federal government was small enough and efficient enough to be run solely by elected officials…wouldn’t that be great?!? But it’s not, so elected officials need some help from unelected officials to get all the work done.

To AM Golden’s point, I have no issue with unelected officials carrying out the policy set by the Executive and Legislative branches. Even if I strongly disagree with the policies, I won’t take issue with them following an Administration’s agenda. What should NOT be happening is unelected officials either 1) trying to set the policy for an Administration too incompetent to set its own (see: Biden/Harris), or 2) going rogue with their own agenda, completely separate from that of the Administration it’s supposed to serve (see: USAID).

Elon Musk is doing exactly what President Trump asked him to do.

And as for the crying of the Left-wing politicians (and a few on the Right as well), many of whom benefited directly from USAID?…here you go…

  5. Democrats are just big mad that 75 years of legal money laundering schemes are drying up a substantial amount of their funding.

They’ve never had problems with unelected authorities in America.

  6. If Schumer, AOC et al had a legal argument that Trump is acting illegally they would have had one of their minions taken him to court. The fact that they have not means that they don’t have a leg to stand on.

  7. We are witnessing the collective withdrawal symptoms from the slush the domesticated dems are addicted to. They are so used to feeding at the taxpayer trough in a fraudulent manner that they actually think it’s their right to do so. I suppose the wokesters would label this “privilege” but it’s the right kind of privilege because “our side is partaking.”

The dem party is lost in the wilderness with no one to lead them out and that’s okay because they are less destructive this way. For now, the adults are in charge and the majority of our citizens are unwilling to cave to the childish tantrums of the unwise and immature dem big mouths. The RINO fakers are gasping as well albeit in a more secretive manner.

PS. some folks are experiencing schadenfreude, or so I’m told…🤠

  8. Remember Her Majesty Queen Hillary the Insufferable telling us we’d gotten “two presidents for the price of one”? I do. Or her being in charge of that healthcare reform posse that drafted thousands of pages of legislation that were summarily tossed into a dumpster.

  9. He may be an unelected official, but the plans for the formation and goals of DODGE were publicized by the campaign well before the election–to the extent that if it didn’t happen, it would be a broken campaign promise.

This was more credible than the “Project 2025” hysteria. If the voters didn’t want it… Then why was the Left silent on this before the election?

  10. I see this as a cycle that has ebbed and flowed throughout the history of our contry.

Some individual, group, or group of individuals will start gouging the American public. It may or may not be connected directly with the government.

Through apathy, inattention, greed, or connivance it goes on until enough people get fed up with it. Then — in America — they rise up and demand changes and reforms.

Some examples I can think of: Boss Tweed, Tammany Hall in New York, the various robber barons in the late 19th century, plus aggregations of sweatshop owners, Jim Crow in the South, Cook County, and now the overreaching and omnipresent bureaucracy. There are more but those are a few that spring to mind.

For that matter, it is probably appropriate to add J. Edgar Hoover to that list.

This is one place Teddy Roosevelt made his name. Chester Arthur has been documented on this blog. Didn’t Coolidge make his name cleaning up the Boston police? LBJ tried to do something like this but failed. And now we have Trump.
