Kamala Harris lost the election because she was an empty suit, DEI Vice-President who tried to fake her way to the finish line while running one of the most incompetent campaigns in American Presidential history. There’s no mystery. It didn’t help that she was inextricably linked to the worst administration ever, slowly being revealed as a four year fraud on the American public. What’s the mystery? The constant, futile and insulting efforts we keep hearing by apologists for the Harris debacle are continuations of the denial and the “it isn’t what it is” gaslighting that has been the standard operating procedure for the Axis of Unethical Conduct since 2016.
Now comes Amie Parnes at The Hill to explain the real reason the Worst Presidential Candidate Ever lost to Donald Trump. President Biden kept insisting that “there be no daylight” between the policies of his adminsitration and what Harris advocated on the stump, in interviews, and in the statments of her surrogates: “Almost everywhere she went, Harris walked among former Biden aides who sought to defend his presidency. Her campaign was run by a former White House deputy chief of staff…and a phalanx of department heads who had served Biden until the previous month.”
Aw, poor Kamala! She had no choice but to follow the orders of…a mentally fading failed President who was the lamest of lame ducks? Harris was running for a position that represents the epitome of leadership, and her defense for botching it is, “I had no choice! Joe Biden told me I had to insist that everything about his Presidency was perfect and that I wouldn’t change a thing!” My mother would have responded to that childish “He told me to do it!” excuse with, “If he told you to jump out the window, would you do that too?”
The Hill’s argument defies belief as well as logic. It concludes,
Whether she won or lost the election, he thought, she would only harm him by publicly distancing herself from him — especially during a debate that would be watched by millions of Americans. To the extent that she wanted to forge her own path, Biden had no interest in giving her room to do so. He needed just three words to convey how much all of that mattered to him. “No daylight, kid,” Biden said.
Followed, no doubt, by Joe asking, “Who are you again?” Biden had harmed himself beyond repair when he debated Trump, and he was concerned that Harris wouldn’t make him look good?
These constant efforts to rehabilitate Kamala Harris are simply pathetic attempts to keep her political career from descending into the obscurity it so richly deserves. Jeez, Democrats: the woman lost because she was terrible, you knew she was terrible, and you nominated her anyway. Own it.

The opposing Shakespearean corrollary. Mark Anthony orated “I’ve come to bury Caeser, not to praise him.” In this case, “I’ve come to praise Biden, not to bury him!”
Biden’s being demented and set upon by his wife and children and Dem operatives and donors brings “Lear” readily to mind.
So these so-called journalists and writers don’t want to report about the good things that the Trump Administration is doing, so they again latch on to the coattails of Kamala Harris for another biased story to feed their progressive sheeple?
This is truly pathetic!
Talking points are a blight upon the body politic. I blame the Democrat consultants for them. I don’t remember politicians spouting them in the ’60s or ’70s. People in politics actually thought about what they wanted to say all by themselves. I may be biased, but I don’t think Republicans default to talking points every single time they open their mouths. “No daylight” is obviously just the latest talking point to be plastered everywhere by everyone on the right side of history.
I guess there is a lot of “sunk money” that’s been spent on Harris and the powers that be in the Dem party are unwilling to write that money off. I guess ordinary people don’t view candidates as assets that have been invested in and need to be salvaged if at all possible. The risk involved, of course, is “spending good money after bad.” Ordinary people say, “she’s and idiot and should go away.” Political pros say, “we can salvage that massive investment of money.”
So that is why she answered “Nothing comes to mind” when she asked at the View what her administration would do differently from the Biden administration.
Stunning: “Recent polling generally indicates that Democrat voters are by far most eager to see Harris reprise her role as the party’s standard-bearer, followed distantly by Buttigieg and Newsom while the rest of the field draws lower levels of support, according to Newsweek.”
What is wrong with these people?
As a Republican, I’m all in favor of it. She can be the Democratic equivalent of Harold Stassen. Keep running Harris again and again. Eventually she will probably get tired of losing, but in the meantime she’ll have saved the country by facilitating a Republican renaissane.
Especially so if she follows some of the progressive advice to say what she really believes, like she did in 2019. On the other hand, I suspect that would only last for one election cycle — the progressives might finally figure out just how toxic their policies are with the voting public.
So sure, let’s have another iteration of the Harris/Walz ticket.
