I call this pathetic, and depressing evidence of just how low the Axis and its supporters are willing to stoop to avoid admitting their obvious wrongdoing.
Desperate Democrats in my life started resorting to this in early 2024, despite its being strained and unethical. Trump, you see, was just as mentally fading as Biden. Sure, whatever you say, Trump Derangement Face! Maybe they even have convinced themselves that they believe this. “Listen to his rambling! The crazy things he says!”
Of course, Trump has always been like this, at least for as long as I’ve paid attention to him which has been several decades now. Nevertheless, no one can miss his extraordinary energy, his willingness to be seen and interviewed, and his resilience. There is, literally, no comparison with Biden’s obvious physical and mental deterioration, nor does it seem plausible that anyone would be able to hijack Trump’s power in the White House like Biden’s aides did to poor Joe.
But here’s Mediaite this week with a headline identical to several other Axis propaganda sites—yup, a memo must have gone out!—“Trump Drops Papers He Just Signed and Mistakenly Refers to the U.K. as ‘The European Union.’”
Seriously? The Axis feels it has to pounce on that trivia? I’ve dropped loose papers like that on streets and hallways too many times to count over the years. Mixing up organization names is inevitable for any official who is dealing with a bruising schedule, multiple tasks and jet lag, or just fatigue: 15 years ago when I was in tip-top condition and a young whippersnapper, I mixed up Raymond Burr, the actor who played Perry Mason, and Aaron Burr—who shot Alexander Hamilton—repeatedly in one spontaneous discussion until someone in the audience alerted me. It was not the first time I had done something like that. I was not concerned, and nobody told me to take a cognitive function test.
This morning we had the tabloid The Daily Mail screaming “Trump sparks concerns over the appearance of his hands again in pictures from the heated G7 Summit.”
To begin with, it was one of his hands, and second, my left hand has been swollen and discolored for months after I smashed it on the wall of my sister’s house in the process of falling down a badly lit stairway. I displaced the tendons on two fingers: my doctor said such injuries heal slowly, if ever.
Sure, Trump’s too old to be President. That’s a separate issue and a bi-partisan one. However, if Democrats and their media lackeys (Hi, Jake Tapper! Enjoying Juneteenth?) had any integrity, they would be admitting that they enabled a gigantic constitutional scandal by assisting in the manipulation of a disabled President. They don’t have any integrity, however. So instead of assisting in the investigation, and accepting accountability, they have resorted to “Oh yeah? Well, what about Trump?”
They’re disgusting

No argument here. The speed at which they pivot their narrative based on the circumstances at hand could give me whiplash. They are merely deflecting criticism off of themselves and projecting their own faults on to Trump.
Funny that no one has dredged up Reagan.
That is odd. But Reagan at the end of his term could still sing “Trouble in River City” compared to poor Joe’s mumbles.
It’s not in the talking points memo. Plus, they’re primarily targeting people who are too young to even know who Reagan is/was.
To answer the question posed by the headline, “Trump’s senile too!” has been on the DNC talking point memo ever since Joe was installed as our first sitting animatronic president. It comes and goes, but it’s been there since 2020. Entirely predictable, by the way.
