I’ll Say This About Social Media: It Is a Useful Window on Trump Derangement and Progressive Fantasies…

Here you go…

How do you like that one?

1.3 thousand “likes” and all those re-posts, including by three of my soon-to-be-lobotomized Facebook Friends. Outside of “We’ve bombed Iran,” nothing in the post is true or even logically supportable. About 2,000 FBI agents are assisting ICE out of more than 13,000, and 37,000 FBI employees over all. Calling Hegseth a “drunk guy” is certainly fair, don’t you think? And the grand finale is the head-exploding “it isn’t what it is” fiction, part of current DNC cant, that the only reason Kamala Harris lost is because of her sex rather than her myriad other problems, like being an inarticulate idiot, picking an even bigger idiot as her ticket mate, running a spectacularly inept campaign, and representing a Soviet-style puppet government that loused up virtually everything it touched.

Now here’s one of the approving responses it attracted:

Wow.

Wow. The only way anyone could write that Hillary Clinton was “one of the most qualified’ Presidential candidates is to have literally no knowledge of the American Presidency at all, which raises the question of why one would make an assertion like that in a public forum knowing you had no basis for it whatsoever. Saying the same about Harris is, against all odds, even more absurd.

  1. Bizzaro world strikes again – somehow a VP (Harris) is more qualified for President than someone who actually has been President. Somebody please make it make sense.

    • Somebody please make it make sense.”

Once you stop expecting it to make sense, it should start making perfect sense.

  2. Hillary Clinton may be the most qualified person ever to run for POTUS.

She “may be”, but she isn’t. Whoever “impossiblybossy” is, he/she has the historical perspective of a slug.

Kamala Harris, if not on par with Clinton, is certainly in the top three most qualified person to have run for POTUS.

Whoa! I was wrong. “impossiblybossy” has the historical perspective of a single-celled amoeba.

Then she writes that we chose men instead. We – the people of the United States – elected men in a democratic election – where people voted for who they wanted. And she wonders if that’s “DEI.”

You can’t make up award-winning levels of dumb like this.

  3. I do not understand for the life of me what someone means when they call Hillary Clinton “The Most Qualified Candidate Ever”.

Taking aside the disqualifying factors (age, naturalization, ect.), the most pertinent qualification for Presidency is gaining enough support in enough states that you win the electoral college. The people get to set their own qualifications, and because of that, Presidential qualifications are subjective and vague at the best of times.

Unless you actually believe that having a vagina is a qualification, even if you want to pretend that there’s an ideal and correct presidential resume, I don’t know what they’re referring to… Plenty of former Senators have run for President. Plenty of former Secretaries of State. A plethora of Lawyers. Plenty of people with those credentials and many others. Unless getting an annual birthday injection via marital bed confers Presidential qualification (and lets be real, she wasn’t getting even that), then what the fuck are they talking about?

And then to say something similar about Kamala?

    I just…. It’s such a self report.

    • Jack has a predisposition to pay attention and respond. I have a predisposition (when exposed to idiocy) to ignore.

From a great production of a great show I saw yesterday, I’m gonna let the world turn without me tonight.

        • A very well done production of Jesus Christ Superstar in Sarasota. A guy I see regularly on my morning walk, he and I agreed that when there is stuff we can’t control, we don’t have to get too worked up about it. YMMV, and, it seems it does. 🙂

          • I also saw an excellent production of JCS recently at my old law school, of all places. I also directed the show, in one of my all-time favorite productions. It was, shall we say, controversial.

  4. “Kamala Harris … picking an even bigger idiot as her ticket mate”

Joe Biden had Kamala as his running mate because Kamala with all her marbles intact was still worse than Joe Biden who had lost most of his. If Joe had had a Vice President who was competent then the 25th Amendment would have been enacted so Dr Jill made sure that Joe chose a complete incompetent as his Vice President.
Kamala picked Walz as her running mate for similar reasons; no one was going to assassinate her or use the 25th when Walz would be the one to step into the Presidency.

Heh! But Lefty’s just not that smart.

I don’t think this is true… I think the party realized that Joe was having issues and they were legitimately succession planning, they really did think that Kamala was the best of the population they were able to pick from, which is damning in a different way. It didn’t help that early on Joe Biden had announced that his running mate would be a black woman, because that narrowed the field down to less than five people. I mean, really… Who else black, woman, and on the national stage was there? Stacy Abrams? Ayanna Pressley? Jasmine Crockett?

“Kamala picked Walz as her running mate for similar reasons; no one was going to assassinate her or use the 25th when Walz would be the one to step into the Presidency.”

I also don’t think this is true. The Democrats have so thoroughly wrapped themselves in the blanket of ideology that they murdered their chances. Walz wasn’t the best candidate, but he was probably the highest common denominator. The Democrats were having a problem with men (the reason remains a mystery /s), so they needed a man. Preferably one from a swing state, preferably one that made up for a lot of Kamala’s deficiencies, and the Democrats had one! But they also had (and have) such an Anti-Semitism problem that it tanked Josh Shapiro for being too Jewish. It was coded as the “Minnesota Problem” in circles unwilling to say that outright, but it was one of the hundreds of missteps Kamala made. Walz was the Democrat’s idea of a man’s man, probably because he kind of liked football, but also didn’t mind emasculating himself in some of the most self-deprecating cringe-inducing political garbage I’ve ever seen. But that’s what Democrats thought would play well… They’re just that out of touch.

I think you need to consider the possibility that the procedure has already been done and what you are seeing with their posts is the results.

Wrongo! Hillary Clinton being “the most qualified presidential candidate” was a Democrat talking point during the 2016 presidential campaign. Insofar as it was and remains a sanctified talking point, anyone can say it with impunity. And of course, said talking point was dutifully dragged out by the Harris camp. Again: it’s just a talking point and Dems respond to talking points the way dogs respond to treats.
