Wow! She really is bad at this! If you are going to give a Clintonian answer, as in “deceitful so that careless listeners don’t understand what you are really saying,” you have to do better than that! What she said just means, “I wouldn’t admit what I believe now because it will get me in trouble, so I would phrase it less bluntly.”
What you’re supposed to say, Cea, as a lying Communist, is, “Those statements on social media do not accurately reflect my beliefs and positions today. I want to look forward, not backward, to the great new policies Mayor Mamdani has for this great city and its residents.”

But it is terrifying that so many young voters are so woefully uneducated about communism/Marxism, they believe she and Mamdami are a great new beginning.
I think it’s more accurate to say they’ve been mis-educated about communism.
John McWhorter, the linguistics professor at Columbia University, when asked about Mamdani’s saying stuff like “Globalize the Intifada,” blithely discounted it entirely saying, “It’s something you’d hear on a college campus any time .” So, this kind of stuff isn’t anything you wouldn’t hear on a college campus all day long. These kids have been marinated in this stuff for most of their lives. And now they’re in government.
