Her gaffe was serious and destructive. Noem doesn’t act, speak or dress like a professional: nice catch by Victory Girls, which points out that her ostentatious power watch in the photo above “screams ‘I am not a serious person.’” She is a loose cannon in an administration that has too many of them already. If Kristi had any integrity or common sense—she doesn’t—the Puppy Killer would metaphorically fall on her sword. Trump firing her would look like a retreat from immigration enforcement and embolden the sanctuary crazies.
Previous Cabinet members Earl Butz and James Watt resigned after making bad jokes; what Noem said was infinitely more damaging.
She needs to quit.

I agree.
The president’s propensity to fact-challenged and hyperbolic stream-of-consciousness statements only works for him. Aping that simply makes her look incompetent and sycophantic.
Sadly, more than one of his cabinet members go down this road, but none as often as Noem. The administration would be better off without her.
Can people be too good looking and too dolled up to be taken seriously? Noem and Newsome seem to make that case.
