A Lot of People, Including A Lot of Friends of Mine, Owe President Trump an Apology. Will They Apologize? Or Even Admit They Were Wrong?

I think I can run off at least 30 Trump deranged Facebook friends, not to mention a dozen CNN and MSNBC defamers and too many Democratic Party officials to recite, that President Trump is a “pedo” and that the Epstein files, which had been so important to exposing our nation’s leader as a immoral criminal pervert that the Biden Administration, which tried everything it could think of to destroy him, never lifted a metaphorical finger to release them for four years, were going to be the final stake in this monster’s black heart.

I guess not. These vicious, confirmation bias-infected people were not just wrong but disgustingly wrong, especially because there has never been one atom of evidence that Trump did anything worse than socializing with his fellow billionaire—you know, like Harvard and M.I.T. Guilt by association is all they had but they kept pounding on it anyway and, for good measure, insulted anyone who didn’t endorse their unfounded suspicions.

Well, it would be time for these people to all step up and apologize like…Ooo, I can’t say “like men,” so I guess “like decent human beings” is the right end of that sentence. But they won’t. You know they won’t.

What does that tell you about them?

As you might have gleaned from the earlier post today, I am not in a good mood. This story only worsens it. My Jack Russell Terrier metaphor is again primary in my mind: I want to take this story in my teeth and shake it in the faces of these arrogant, smug, anti-democratic bubble-dwelling jerks like my Dickens or Rugby killing a rat. They can only redeem themselves in my mind by stating publicly, “I was wrong. I want to apologize to President Trump, his family and supporters, and everyone else who may have been harmed by the efforts of people like me to denigrate and unjustly accuse our elected leader.”

Nah. Their ethics alarms have been permanently disabled by hate.

Eric S. Raymond, the anthropologist, tech whiz and philosopher, wrote on “X”:

I might just spend the next year laughing so hard that I’m in danger of rupturing my abdomen. Yes. The evidence that Donald Trump was a Federal informant in the Epstein case has been trickling out for a couple of years now. I am too libertarian to be MAGA and by no means Donald Trump’s biggest fan, but I noticed this. What are the Trump-hating media and the Left (but I repeat myself) going to do now that these court documents are going public? They’ve backed themselves into a corner by incessantly screaming “Trump is a pedo!” despite the fact that he never went to Little St James and cut times with Epstein after Epstein hit on a 14-year-old Mar-A-Lago employee. Absolutely brilliant move by Trump not to exculpate himself by saying in public “I helped the law take Epstein down”. Now his enemies are in so deep that all of their choices are horribly self-destructive. Look for a whole lot of journalists to have heart attacks and aneurysms as they grapple with the concept of publishing anything about this. They’ve organized their world-view and their public appeal around “Bad Orange Man is baaaad!” for so long that acknowledging he was one of the heroes of the Epstein story rather than a villain would break their brains and be reputational suicide. But the alternative – letting the truth leak out via social media while trying to smother it with non-coverage – would be in some ways even worse. The credibility of the journalistic establishment is already in the toilet. Contemplating how much worse it’s going to get if they try to stonewall this is the part that makes me laugh so hard it hurts. What will happen if they actually backpedal might be even funnier to watch. Utter chaos, lefty/liberal brains melting by the millions, cats and dogs raining from the sky…indeed shall many things come to pass

We already have a clue regarding the news media’s integrity in how the New York Times handled the story. The headline: “Former Police Chief Said Trump Told Him ‘Everyone’ Knew of Epstein’s Actions.” Very clever! They must have spend hours coming up with a headline that suggested wrongdoing by Trump even as it exonerates him. See, he admits that HE knew of Epstein’s actions, and let those poor girls be abused!

This was not, of course, how the Times treated all the Hollywood hypocrites (and Democrats, like Hillary Clinton), who knew about Harvey Weinstein’s rape hobby for years as long as he was providing plum roles and big campaign contributions. The last part of the Times piece (gift link) is devoted to the inconsistencies in how Trump described his dealings with Epstein long after he had cut ties with him. The point is, which the Times wants to blur, is that Trump blew a whistle on Epstein, unlike Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Larry Summers and the rest. The President was one of the good guys, and the Trump Deranged can’t handle it, won’t admit it, and don’t have the character to retract their accusations.

Which makes them bad guys.

  1. “The President was one of the good guys, and the Trump Deranged can’t handle it, won’t admit it, and don’t have the character to retract their accusations.”

You are absolutely right, my friend. It won’t matter.

The document is from 2019 when Trump was in his first administration. The so-called Resistance will argue that Trump had the documents altered, that the officer lied, that there’s been a cover-up or, as you’ve seen, will spin to make him look as bad as possible.

The President is owed an apology, but he won’t get it. The only reason the Democrats care about the Epstein documents is how they can be used to hurt Trump.

    • My thoughts exactly, AM.

“The sheriff was bought off by Trump! Trump was in the White House in 2019. I’m sure he had some dirt on the Sheriff and used it as leverage!”

The Trump deranged won’t back off a millimeter. They’ll just double down, as well as bring up the next thing. They’re nuts and they are incorrigible.

  2. Be Humble In Victory And Gracious In Defeat

I’ve never had a problem observing the former…it wouldn’t be hard to make an exception.

    PWS

  3. This Epstein saga is getting tiring. The guy was clearly a weirdo extraordinaire. He was obviously sexually obsessed with girls under eighteen. It’s never been explained where he got his money from, other than (ironically) handling the money of the Victoria’s Secret owner. But he clearly had a thing about luring in and compromising lots and lots of big-time people. Idiots. But bottom line, the guy was just a sleazebag involved in really sleazy stuff in which he involved some of his “friends.” Enough already. This has turned into people slowing down to see the results of a car wreck.

I’m reminded of a rumor that went around in my boys high school. One of the guys’ mother was reportedly “entertaining” any number of guys. Similarly, the Epstein stuff is just pretty much beyond the pale. He’s dead. His sole accomplice is in jail. All the girl/victims are no longer at risk. They were failed decades ago.

I’m not sure where I’m going with this, but the entire affair Epstein is just something that can’t go on forever, therefore, it has to end.
