This, incredibly enough, while simultaneously arguing that the constitutionally elected President of the United States was constantly breaching “democratic norms” and should be impeached. Allowing an elected President of the United States to be President after he is elected President is perhaps the most important democratic norm of all, if he is mentally capable of being President, but let’s not drag Joe Biden into this.
Virtually every policy, Executive Order or decision has been challenged by Democrats as part of their decade long hissy-fit, and because the judiciary is filled with judges who abuse their power routinely, many are stalled or require higher court interventions to proceed. And so it was that a federal judge, Judge Richard J. Leon, an appointee of President George W. Bush (whose entire family and circle of allies and supporters will never forgive Trump for calling Jeb a weenie and George II a failure) ordered this week that construction be halted on the White House ballroom, until the project receives a go-ahead from Congress.
As we all know, the project can’t get approval from Congress, because the Democrats are dead set against doing anything, even funding the government, if it supports this President’s ability to govern a silly millimeter. The President has responded light-heartedly, as you can see…
The National Trust, a nest of Democrat Trump-haters, is arguing that the project was “rushed through” with no warning or input from Congress. Awww, too bad! Their widdle feewings were hurt! Trump says he has raised more than $350 million from personal backers and around two dozen tech, cryptocurrency and defense corporations to fund the new ballroom without government support.
“He seems to be making the argument that because he is allegedly funding the ballroom from private donations from companies, he does not need congressional approval for the project,” sayeth the Times. “Allegedly.” Nice. I guess the Axis media wants to drag out a debate over whether the President really has those donations, or if he’s really pocketing them, or if they are really bribes.
I hope the President defies this obstructionist judge, declares that a wrecked White House is not in the national interest, continues the construction, and dares Congress and the courts, Andrew Jackson-style, to stop him. I can’t wait to see Democrats try to impeach a President over remodeling where the President lives.
Yeah, yeah, I know, it’s “the People’s House.” And illegal immigrants are really “undocumented workers.”
Enough is enough.

My TDS-suffering sister announced in this week’s Zoom call that she is part of an organization suing the President because of his remodeling of the White House and for the renaming of the Kennedy Center. Apparently, renaming is only bad when Trump does it.
She also admits how nervous she is to have her name as part of the organization doing this. As if she’s in danger of being arrested or fired or, I dunno, inconvenienced somehow.
She ought to be embarrassed, rather than nervous.
I don’t know what legal argument the judge used to formulate his opinion when the white house is specifically exempt from the organization that reviews federal building designs and that no taxpayer dollars are being used.
Without a legal basis for the decision what sanctions could the judge be subject to?
