To ban this flag is an assault on free speech. This flag never has been a racial emblem. It is strictly an historical flag of rebellion against the British. It was designed by a slaveholder. So was the Declaration of Independence. At some point, those of us who love our Constitutional freedoms may be forced into a new revolution against Progressives who seem hell-bent on chipping away at our freedoms and coercing us, through legislative and legal action, to live by their political and cultural codes exclusively. I, for one, refuse to be coerced. And there are millions of other law abiding, decent people, who are silently waiting for the Progressives to push it too far, before we take back our Constitutional freedoms, peacefully, if possible, or by force if necessary.
