Bill Clinton’s “Today Show” Rationalization Orgy: Res Ipsa Loquitur*

WordPress doesn’t let me embed any videos but those on YouTube, so you will have to click on the link to see Bill Clinton, being grilled on “The Today Show,” access a basket of rationalizations to minimize his wrongdoing in the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Co-author James Patterson (Bill is the latest neophyte novelist Patterson is teaming with for one of his cookie-cutter thrillers) even jumps in to add one.

I think I’ll leave it at that, and challenge Ethics Alarms Readers to identify the rationalizations Bill grasps at here. NBC’s Craig Morton should be commended for asking the tough questions, and not lobbing the softballs Bill expected.

The segment is here.

The Rationalization List is here.

“I did what I wanted, and I got away with it, NYAA-NYAAAA!”

That’s the first thing I said to my lovely and long-suffering wife after watching it this morning.

Clinton’s lost his fast-ball, but if you watched closely, you were still treated to at least one obligatory “Gosh I’m Humble While I Shit You Irredeemably And With Impunity” lip bite.

Patterson? Haughtily sniffing how long ago it was (still well within the “Paula Deen 27 Year Look Back Period”) and bringing up JFK & LBJ? What a smarmy fuckin’ prick!

  3. Old Slick Willy himself will be thrown under the bus by the #metoo folks: I just wonder how long his cover will last.

I bet ‘respect’ for (or fear of) Hillary is holding the hounds at bay, despite several clarion howls in recent months.

How exciting, to take down a former President! -same millennial SJW somewhere

You lost me at that prolific hack, James Patterson; the most corporeal ghost-writer in the business. Anyone who takes seriously any book that has his name on it (“co-” I don’t think) needs to finish their G.E.D.
