“It’s disgusting and disturbing that someone was able to carry a loaded assault rifle into a protest against the unjust killing of Jacob Blake, an unarmed Black man, and take the lives of two people and injure another — and face absolutely no consequences.”
—–The statement from DCCC Chairman Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.).
Let’s play “Find the False Representations!”
Did they ask Mr. Blake how he felt about being killed? Or how he, an unarmed man, could tell us he was wielding a knife when he was shot?
Was there someone running around Kenosha with an assault rifle that night who killed two people? Is that person being charged with something (for starters, isn’t it illegal generally speaking, to be carrying around an assault rifle)? Or maybe they’re talking about someone in the National Guard, who probably do have assault rifles (legally).
Sounds like there were a lot of people getting shot in Kenosha that night. Have they notified the district attorney?
Mr. Blake survived the encounter, though he lost the use of his legs.
They continue to ignore the circumstance that lead to the shooting the resulting – “the lives of two people and injure another”. And don’t forget to get that “assault weapon” term into the statement along with the “unjust killing of Jacob Blake, an unarmed Black man” which had nothing to do with the court case in question.
It’s no longer a excercise for justice but a battle of and for power and Kyle is going to be caught up in the crossfire.
It’s so infuriating to see some of the articles and reactions to the outcome of this trial. Is the DOJ going to investigate now?
Sen. Maloney is either, 1) completely unaware of nearly every fact surrounding the events on trial, thereby disqualifying him from speaking on the matter, or, 2) aware of the facts and intentionally lying about them, thereby disqualifying himself from serving as a Senator. Which is it?
As for misrepresentations, I’ll pick one…the “assault” rifle. It is my understanding that DHS classifies the AR-15 as a “personal defense weapon.” This makes it the opposite of an assault weapon. Maloney claims Rittenhouse used an assault weapon to commit assault and ultimately murder. Wrong!!
After being presented with all the facts and (unlike Maloney) actually studying them, a jury of Kyle’s peers determined that Rittenhouse used a personal defense weapon to protect himself against actual assault.
Jacob Blake was not killed or his interview was filmed in hell. This statement is malicious as well as mendacious.
It is designed to inflame both sides of the issue in order to create chaos and incite violence so politicians can exact more control over the populace.
Blake, not dead, not unarmed.
Semiautomatic….
Subject to a political prosecution and multiple violations of his rights during the trial…
I’d say the “not unarmed” matter is especially relevant.
“The unjust killing of Jacob Blake…”
“He’s not quite dead!”
“Or, the near fatal wounding of Jacob Blake…”
“He’s getting better!”
“Or…Jacob Blake…who…when it seemed he was about to recover…suddenly felt the icy black hand of death upon him…”
He doesn’t want to go on the cart!
He feels . . . HAPPY! He feels . . . HAPPY!
