Co-host Sonny Hostin: “Estimates are 50,000 Ukrainians will be dead or wounded and this is going to start a refugee crisis in Europe,”  said. “We’re talking about 5 million people that are going to be displaced. It’s heartbreaking to hear what is going to happen.”

Behar: “Yeah, I’m scared of what’s gonna happen in Western Europe, too. You know, you just, you plan a trip, you wanna go there. I’ve wanted to go to Italy for four years and I haven’t been able to make it because of the pandemic, and now this, you know? It’s like, who’s gonna, what’s gonna happen there?”

Now, Behar is allegedly a comic, and maybe she’ll try the “It’s was just a joke!” excuse, but heavens to Betsy! Has there ever been a statement that more perfectly encapsulated the ugly, rich and privileged American narcissist celebrity’s “it’s all about me” attitude than the total lack of compassion and empathy in that clueless word-barf? It is signature significance for a terrible human being with dead ethics alarms; nobody who isn’t would say something similar out loud, much less on television. It’s like Ebenezer Scrooge saying that if the poor would rather die than go to a London work-house, “they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.“

Behar is a moron and an asshole, and pretty much proves it every time she opens her mouth, but even I never suspected she was capable of this.

Now I almost wish I had been a loyal viewer of “The View” so I could write ABC in disgust and promise never to watch again.
