Whatever one may think of D’Souza, and wherever one may fall in the partisan divide, I don’t see what other explanation there is for the stubborn, self-destructive refusal by the mainstream media to acknowledge what the Twitter files’ reporting by Matt Taibbi et al. has revealed. (Once again today, the New York Times contains no mention of the issue at all.)

How can anyone trust media organizations that allow such obvious partisan “darkness,” as in “Democracy dies in darkness”? How desperate must these organizations be to engage ins such flagrant and and inexcusable news manipulation?

This has effects beyond election interference.
Lawyers for fraudsters, child sex traffickers, and even terrorists would, if they could successfully put the FBI on trial, get their clients to walk (the least bad of a bunch of bad outcomes if the FBI was put on trial)

It is not self-destructive. The MSM is taking some hits in subscribers and viewership, but actually admitting to their culpability would be more destructive. They are doubling down in the hope that frustration over their actions build on the Right and eventually result in another outburst of violence similar to January 6th. They believe that will vindicate their actions in failing to report information that in any way substantiates the proven violent tendencies of the MAGA Right. They just have to wait it out. Sooner or later some wacko with Right-leaning followings will commit some act of violence, giving them and the government basis to come crashing down of opposition stances. It will not be censorship. It will be National Security. And I fear it will not end well.
Explain why you fear it will not end well.
If there is any sort of violence from the Right, my fear is that the Progressive Left will use its dominance of the media to further paint anybody who disagrees with them as a national security threat and crackdown with draconian restrictions. These restrictions with further irritate the Right and increase their resistance toward the PL policies which the media will spin in lockstep as proof of Right’s continued effort for an insurrection. Around and round, it goes until it fractures the country.
If they actually enact these draconian restrictions, I hope there is resistance.
Is that supposed to be a bad thing?
I am saying that the response to the resistance will be bloody. So yes, it is a bad thing. Some may think it is necessary outcome. I do not.
If these draconian restrictions are enforced, the bloodier the outcome, the better.
Dinesh really underestimates the ability and willingness of the media to report on one thing in one place and continue to lie about that very thing in other places.
