Nah, The Democrats Would Never Cheat To Hold On To Power! Whatever Would Make Anyone Think That?

I saw the photoshopped Joe Biden photo that “allegedly” had been sent out by “Team Biden” last night, and decided that I couldn’t rely on the conservative source, since I would not put it past “Team GOP” to photoshop a picture and then claim Democrats were responsible. This is what we’ve come to—we literally cannot trust any source, any account, any claim, and neither Right nor Left nor their media mouthpieces are sufficiently trustworthy, fair, honest or decent that you, I or anyone can be sure of the facts about virtually anything.

(Fuck.)

However, I traced down the source of the fake. Here’s the whole photo, in a tweet from Democratic strategist and former party chair Chris Jackson….

..who commented, “You can just tell Baby Beau has his Pop (@POTUS) wrapped around his little finger!”

Awwww. And his photo is a lie. This isn’t even competent photoshopping: look at Biden’s hand:

The actual photo, via Getty, shows the Joe we’re all accustomed to seeing; ancient and confused…

This is an insider working this intentional deception, and a former party chair, not some low-level hack. It’s a high level hack, and he represents the culture of the Democratic Party in 2022 going forward. It’s signature significance, just a small thing, but in the same week that a rigged and fully partisan House kangaroo court asked for criminal charges against Donald Trump as part of a two-year strategy to block him from running for President again, and as more evidence surfaces about how the FBI manipulated social media to bury the Hunter Biden laptop story, don’t insult my intelligence by repeating the xeroxed mainstream media talking point that claims about the 2020 election being corrupted are “baseless.”

People like Chris Jackson run the Democratic Party, and they are ruthless, Machiavellian, unethical, and hostile to democracy.

  1. As I have said until I’m blue in the face, “The political left has shown its pattern of propaganda lies within their narratives so many times since 2016 that it’s beyond me why anyone would blindly accept any narrative that the political left and their lapdog media actively push?”

The Democrats seem to be going out of their way to support my opinion, this is just another morsel of evidence that supports my observation.

    • Back in the 90s, the American Spectator did a piece on Bill Clinton’s golf game (I want to say David Brooks wrote it, but I can’t remember now). Anyways, the premise was that someone played a round of golf with President Clinton, and the President gave himself numerous mulligans, foot-taps, and free-shot putts. The conclusion? If President Clinton would cheat and lie about a simple game of golf, where there is nothing at stake, how could he be trusted to tell the truth when it really mattered?

My mind went right back to that when reading this, and Steve Witherspoon is completely right. There is no reason to believe anything from the Biden Administration or the news people that constantly run interference for it.

And if you ask a Democrat, they would probably say there is no reason to believe anything from a Republican or conservative, either.

We’re in a pretty sad place.

  2. How long until people who have fallen out of favor with The Party start getting Photoshopped out of pictures in the public record? (Although I would not be shocked to learn that this has/is already happening.)
Seems like the next logical step to removing them from social media, books, buildings that happen to bear their namesake, etc.

      • I wonder how many of those highly “educated” wokesters who think so highly of themselves and their (actually worthless) degrees would get that reference

“R” for Republican is the new Scarlet Letter.

“MAGA” is the new four letter spelling for Nazi.

Here are the current progressive Democrats’ four tenets of “truth”…

      1. Democrats are right.
      2. Republicans are wrong.
      3. Wrong is evil.
      4. Evil must be destroyed.

…that’s the dead end of the 21st century progressive Democrats’ ability to think critically.

Open persecution (hostility and ill-treatment, especially on the basis of ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation or political beliefs) against all things and all persons considered political right is now socially acceptable and expected of activists and if you’re not a progressive Democrat activist then you’re wrong (see tenets above).

      • Oh they will, not so much in the hopes of putting him in jail, in the hopes of sidelining him for 2024 and making him still more radioactive to the GOP, maybe even hoping some of the contamination will rub off on other GOPers. The Democrats have a tough Senate map to defend in 2024 (the GOP had one this time out), and they want every advantage they can get. Will charging Trump criminally be the final straw? I don’t know. However, I really don’t think it’s anything to be afraid of. In the past I thought that this or that outrage would be one too many, but it never materialized, except for the idiocy at the Capitol. Considering that the DOJ has been treating those folks like domestic terrorists (while going VERY easy on the folks from 2020), I think most folks on the right will have lost their taste for anything revolutionary. Of course this MIGHT come back to bite at the voting booth, but at this point I have to scratch my head and wonder about that as a possibility, given that the one party is willing to pull every dirty trick in the book and the other one barely dares.

        • One thing I’m afraid of is that the prosecution—which will be unethical, incidentally—will lock in Trump’s support when it should be falling away. In fact, I wonder if that won’t be the intent of an indictment. The Democrats know that Trump can screw up the GOP beyond all fixing, unless he is emphatiaclly rejected.

This is a solid point and I’ve been wondering if that’s the ultimate underlying intent of the Democratic Party’s actions and rhetoric to push the evil devil they know they can beat the crap out of (Trump) so the Republicans can’t replace him with someone vastly better. Is this their scheme to ultimately destroy that annoying Constitution that they seem to hate and install a one party totalitarian rule?

          • Prosecuting a former president by the opposition party sets a very dangerous precedent. What is interesting is that there is far more damning evidence that the FBI and intelligence agencies actually conspired to commit fraud on the United States by working with media firms to squelch information that could influence the outcome of an election. This we have learned occurred in 2016, 2020 and 2022 elections. It may have also been ongoing during the 2018 midterms. The other charge of obstructing a government proceeding will be hard to prove given he was never at the Capitol. Most of those convicted of crimes were for trespassing.

If I recall correctly during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing, a significant number of women were protesting and cornered Jeff Flake in an elevator which resulted in him demanding additional time to investigate specious (baseless) charges levied by another woman who claiming Kavanaugh gave out drugs to get girls to be unable to fend off sexual advances. Why is that not an obstruction of an official proceeding.

Biden needs to be very careful because if he allows Garland to charge Trump a different AG may think it is normal to prosecute him for selling out the United States for financial gain.

            • I doubt it. Usually it’s only the Democrats who go too far. Then again, Harry Reid’s attempt to do away with the filibuster so that Obama’s judges could sail through came back to bite. Bide won’t be charged for one reason, though, he’d likely be dead before things resolved.

  3. Sure wish the resident lefties hadn’t all ran away. It’d be nice to at least see their take on this – they either defend it or admit it’s one more piece of evidence that the Democrats have gone completely off the rails.

But of course, they’re running away is proof they know the Democrats are off the rails but they don’t want to admit it because they still refuse to accept the possibility that having a conversation on the future of the nation within the conservative camp might actually be the better course.

Pop culture, media and education inherently knew that the left wing route for America would be abjectly unpalatable for most people – so they spent *generations* teaching people that conservatism is so disgusting and horrible, that once presented with the reality of the disgusting horribleness of Leftism, those people would never give conservatism a chance – they’d just cynically give up on both.

    • Michael West wrote, “Sure wish the resident lefties hadn’t all ran away. It’d be nice to at least see their take on this…”

I think I could reasonably predict some of the parroted opinions that I’ve seen elsewhere,

      “This is a nothing burger.”

      “What does it matter?”

“There are more important things to talk about.”

“The planet is on the verge of a climate apocalypse and you petty Republicans are talking about a pointless photo?!”

I’m sure you all could easily add a few more to this list.

    • Sure wish the resident lefties hadn’t all ran away. It’d be nice to at least see their take on this – they either defend it or admit it’s one more piece of evidence that the Democrats have gone completely off the rails.

As do I, but their periodic successors here, like the self-banned talking-points parrot “Rick,” haven’t distinguished themselves, to say the least.

  4. I assume the Dems would be delighted if Trump were to run again and bitterly disappointed if they didn’t have him to use a vote shedding pinata to beat like a rented mule. I’m sure they want to keep him in the news and keep smearing him, but they surely do not want a knockout punch administered by anyone.

  5. Alright, I am not sure I understand the controversy with this photo or these photos. Perhaps I am a bit jaded but I always assumed photos were retouched. Am I to understand that Biden was not walking with his grandson at the time the photo was taken? Is that the issue? Otherwise, it just seems like a terrible retouching of the photo. If the top two photos are compared, Biden’s tie is clear but his face is fuzzy. In the other, the face is clearer and the tie is blurry. Sloppy, yes. Unethical? I am not sure, unless, as I wrote, the actual photoed scene never happened.

PS: Please let me know about the Enver Hoxha references and PM’s comment to Steve-O. I am familiar with Hoxha but not thoroughly versed in communist Albania propaganda. Is the Hoxha reference that he tried to “forge” a middle path between Stalin and Tito as a mythical father figure?

    • Photographs of public figures who are old frail, senile and proving more so every day cannot be ethically touched up to mislead the public about their true condition—and the ethics codes of all major news organizations make this clear. It’s a visual lie, straight up. If you can use photoshopping to make Biden look younger and helthier, you can use it to make Trump look worse. Remember the controversy when Time darkened OJ’s skin?
