There are a lot of really unethical people saying some astounding things lately. Such as…
1. Incompetent Elected Official Of the Month Rep. Sylvia Garcia (D-TX), who completely beclowned herself in the The House Weaponization Subcommittee examination of Twitter Files heralds Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger. She was determined to discredit them for daring to reveal the efforts by her party and its allies to bury the Hunter Biden laptop story and censor critics, and apparently did no research into te topic of the hearings at all, announcing that she didn’t know what “a substack” was and showing complete ignorance regarding Bari Weiss. (Ah, if only she read Ethics Alarms!) Meanwhile, all of a sudden Democrats oppose journalists’ desire to protect their sources.
2. Not included in the video above was an offensive question by serial unethical House hack Debbie Wasserman Schulz, the former DNC chair who rigged the 2016 primaries for Hillary Clinton. She accused Matt Taibbi of profiting from authoring the “Twitter Files” reports, implying that he was motivated by persoanl profit, saying: “After the ‘Twitter Files,’ your followers doubled … I imagine your Substack readership … increased significantly because of the work that you did for Elon Musk.”
These people really lash out when they’re exposed, don’t they?
3. Over to the Republican side: Jenna Ellis, one of President Trump’s lawyers in the post-election push to have the results examined, admitted in Colorado Bar disciplinary proceedings that she deliberately engaged in the following misrepresentations “for selfish reasons”:
- On November 13, 2020, Respondent claimed that “Hillary Clinton still has not
conceded the 2016 election.” - On November 20, 2020, Respondent appeared on Mornings with Maria on Fox
Business and stated: “We have affidavits from witnesses, we have voter intimidation,
we have the ballots that were manipulated, we have all kinds of statistics that show
that this was a coordinated effort in all of these states to transfer votes either from
Trump to Biden, to manipulate the ballots, to count them in secret . . .” - On November 20, 2020, Respondent appeared on Spicer & Co. and stated, “with all
those states [Nevada, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia] combined we know
that the election was stolen from President Trump and we can prove that.” - On November 21, 2020, Respondent stated on Twitter under her handle
@JennaEllisEsq., “ . . . SECOND, we will present testimonial and other evidence IN
COURT to show how this election was STOLEN!” - On November 23, 2020, Respondent appeared on The Ari Melber Show on MSNBC
and stated, “The election was stolen and Trump won by a landslide.” - On November 30, 2020, Respondent appeared on Mornings with Maria on Fox
Business and stated, “President Trump is right that there was widespread fraud in this
election, we have at least six states that were corrupted, if not more, through their
voting systems. . . We know that President Trump won in a landslide.” - She also stated, “The outcome of this election is actually fraudulent it’s wrong, and we
understand than when we subtract all the illegal ballots, you can see that President
Trump actually won in a landslide.” - On December 3, 2020, Respondent appeared on Mornings with Maria on Fox Business
and stated, “The outcome of this election is actually fraudulent it’s wrong, and we
understand than when we subtract all the illegal ballots, you can see that President
Trump actually won in a landslide.” - On December 5, 2020, Respondent appeared on Justice with Judge Jeanine on Fox
News and stated, “We have over 500,000 votes [in Arizona] that were cast illegally . . .” - On December 15, 2020, Respondent appeared on Greg Kelly Reports on Newsmax
and stated, “The proper and true victor, which is Donald Trump . . .” - On December 22, 2020, Respondent stated on Twitter, through her handle
@JennaEllisEsq, “I spent an hour with @DanCaplis for an in-depth discussion about
President @realDonaldTrump’s fight for election integrity, the overwhelming evidence
proving this was stolen, and why fact-finding and truth—not politics—matters!”
4. Here’s the head-exploding Unethical Quote of the Month: MSNBC’s Chris Hayes actually said, on the air, really and truly, “I disagree vehemently with Tucker Carlson’s assessment of bias at The New York Times, it is not a liberal paper.” This is a clinical example of bias making one stupid. Hayes, like all of his fellow leftist propagandists at the network, is so far left that the New York Times looks moderate to him. Or he’s lying outright: both explanations are plausible coming from Hayes. The “Progressive/Democratic Party bias at the Times” Ethics Alarms file is so thick I use it as a step-ladder, and its far from complete. How can anyone take Hayes seriously regarding any topic if he’s this deluded?
5. Reacting to Tucker Carlson’s Capitol riot footage controversy, January 6 Star Chamber co-chair Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss) said that neither he nor any other members of the House committee viewed any of the footage. Oh. Good, thorough investigation there, everyone! Of course, the goal of that committee was to crucify Republicans and Donald Trump: why would the members need to see any actual evidence, since their minds were already made up? Just call witnesses, prohibit cross-examination by members not all-in regarding the witch hunt (because there weren’t any such members), and have high-fives all around….
6. Further cementing his status as a really awful human being, NFL-kneeling addict Colin Kaepernick accused his adoptive parents of “perpetuating racism.” “I know my parents loved me. But there were still very problematic things that I went through,” the full-time race-baiting jerk told CBS News, adding in the rhetorical clarity that made his on-the-field protests so incoherent, “I think it was important to show that, no, this can happen in your own home, and how we move forward collectively while addressing the racism that is being perpetuated.”
“Anything to get headlines and squeeze out a few more minutes of fame” is the Kaepernick way, even if it means sliming the people who kept him from a childhood spent in foster homes.
3. Gee, I wonder how Trump became increasingly convinced that the election was stolen?
I so wanted Matt Taibbi to respond the DWS that if journalists never reported cherry picked information from biased sources that could cause people to draw the wrong impression, then members of Congress could never be interviewed.
RE: 3 Lawyers who make deliberate representations to sway public opinion in which their version of the facts has yet to be proven should be disbarred. I for one would like a prohibition for lawyers who are directly involved in the legal matters to comment on the news and opinion shows. Their arguments should only be voiced in the courtroom. Lawyers publicly espousing unproven theories on television about guilt or innocence taints the process. I have no problem if all court proceedings are broadcast for public consumption. At least we will expect to get a fair and balanced picture of the events.
I am particularly disturbed that members of Congress who are also members of a Bar Association can proffer their own misleading claims without consequence. I understand why the rules protecting Congressmen and women from claims of slander when uttered on the floor of the chamber are needed but a clear line must be drawn when people like Schiff can use his role to do exactly the same thing as Jenna Ellis with impunity.
RE:5 Bennie Thompson, et al, had to wait for the Hollywood production of the required storyline was made available to them so they could use it to persuade the population that this was an attempt to overthrow the government. Thompson essentially stated that the committee was not interested in finding out what transpired on January 6 it was only interested in finding facts to support their narrative. This is why it was called a “fact finding” committee. They never said it was a fact disclosing committee. This is similar to saying the Biden laptop story had all the “HALLMARKS” of Russian disinformation. The 50 intelligence officials later claimed that they never said it truly was disinformation. They know the American people are lazy in their language skills and only want their pre-existing concepts of truth validated.
“These people really lash out when they’re exposed, don’t they?”
I mean… Yes. But this was special. It’s the kind of visceral, ugly, personal lashing out that they seem to reserve for traitors. People like Taibbi, Glen Greenwald, Joanne Rowling, or Dave Rubin…. None of these people have views that are particularly egregious, none of them have a particularly large platforms or reach… Substack subscriptions, Substack subscriptions, a Twitter account, and YouTube, respectively, but what they have in common is a history of Liberalism and that they’ve found limits to how far left they’ll go. Some continue to say they’re liberal, some have started to identify as conservative, it doesn’t really matter… The left is vicious to their deserters.
Vicious works better when there’s some intellect involved. How do idiots like Garcia get elected? It boggles the mind.
You can expect them to start aiming at Naomi Wolf any day now: https://naomiwolf.substack.com/p/dear-conservatives-i-am-sorry
As I mentioned when that link was sent on another post thread, Naomi Wolf would have been a much better messenger for McCarthy than Carlson—and she would have been featured on networks other than Fox News.
NFL-kneeling addict Colin Kaepernick accused his adoptive parents of “perpetuating racism.” “I know my parents loved me. But there were still very problematic things that I went through,”
Memo to Colin’s parents; please respond publicly to your adopted little shaver with:
We did everything we could to provide Colin with a nurturing loving home and in spite of that he was always a selfish little brat who rarely showed remorse for his bad deeds nor appreciation for our love and forgiveness.
We devoted our lives to raising little Colin but in the end it appears that we failed to instill some important fundamental values. Colin continues to exhibit the same narcissistic behavior that he did while growing up, always projecting his own failures, resentments, and frustrations onto others.
We are sorry Colin, sorry for not being perfect parents. Our love was and still is unconditional, but now looking back it was probably tough love that would have served you better at times. We hope you can forgive us and perhaps spend some of your millions on therapy so you can once and for all conquer the inner demons that have haunted you since childhood.
We still love you Colin-bear and wish only the best for you.
Sincerely,
Mom & Dad
The real fun begins watching Nike and Kaepernick try and spin that.
What do you have against Naomi Wolf? Don’t you know that if she had been given the video footage and released it, we would have found out from the media what a despicable Nazi whore she is? Look, I don’t share your disdain for Carlson and Trump, but I do think I understand it. In an era when you can’t trust ANYTHING you see in ANY media, I’d be interested to see the source and context of those Carlson emails. The release of the J6 footage to any other person would change the views of vanishingly few people.
PS Take a look at Michael Caines response to criticism of his 1963 film “Zulu”. Perfect from a great and actor and uncancellable public figure.
“What do you have against Naomi Wolf? Don’t you know that if she had been given the video footage and released it, we would have found out from the media what a despicable Nazi whore she is?’
Nonetheless, she wouldn’t have the reputation of being a Nazi whore before she covered the footage. Cognitive dissonance, you know: she’s still be higher on the scale than Tucker.
Those emails came from discovery in the Fox News defamation case. I think they can be regarded as genuine. Carlson has a well established reputation for perfidy and hypocrisy…his dossier on EA is substantial. He’s been annoying me from back when he wore a bowtie as his trademark.
Love “Zulu,” the movie and the event. I’ll revisit Caine’s comments—thanks.
