Yeah, I’d Say This Pretty Much Destroys Tara Reade’s Credibility, Wouldn’t You?

Well, there goes my head.

I honestly though this was a hoax.

From the New York Times:

Tara Reade, the former Senate aide who accused President Biden of sexual assault as he ran for president in 2020, said on Tuesday that she had moved to Russia and was seeking citizenship there, according to Sputnik, a Russian-government-run news site.

Ms. Reade told Sputnik in a news conference that while her “dream is to live” in both the United States and Russia, she might reside only in Russia because that is where she feels “surrounded by protection and safety.”

I know when I want to feel “safe,” my first impulse is to defect to Russia….

This officially validates critics who accused Reid of being a fake #MeToo accuser with a political agenda, and even supports the claims that she was part of a pro-Trump “Russian disinformation” campaign. I don’t know what to think, other than I’m sorry I ever heard of her.

Next I expect to learn that Juanita Broaddrick has moved to Iran….

  1. I don’t think it validates anything. I think she either has a screw loose, is being threatened by Biden supporters or is so woke that she has to experience the Brittney Griner effect to fully appreciate her country.

      • Maybe she figured that, if it worked for Edward Snowden…?

I wouldn’t go to Russia for a vacation, much less move there. There’s got to be more to this story.

        • There must be, but none of it can be good. I spent more than a week in Russia: I am grateful for the experience, but you couldn’t get me back there with a gun at my head.

#MeToo and “Believe all women” just isn’t working out the way I thought….

    • I’m betting a screw loose. I wouldn’t step foot in Russia, even though there’s a lot of interesting history there, at least not without a trustworthy guide who spoke Russian.

  2. I saw an article about this this morning and was wondering if reality had finally sprang a leak. An alternate universe bleeding over into this one almost seems plausible these days. I don’t know who is scripting the current timeline, but I’d like the writers fired for incompetence.

  3. I confess that I didn’t have this one on my bingo card.

I think you’re right thar this will go a long way towards inoculating Biden from her allegations. Whether it should is a different matter. This certainly doesn’t help her credibility, but just because she appears to be a pierogi short of a #4 special now doesn’t mean she was in either 1993 or 2020… or even that she is now, if, as I suspect, it’s just been a while since she was in the headlines, so she needed to do something to fix that. But I come by my nom de plume honestly.

  4. A couple of bricks short of a full load… a few sandwiches short of a picnic… a few fries short of a Happy meal… a few crews short of a hardware store… driving on three wheels… steaming on three shafts… doesn’t have both oars in the water… the lights are on, but nobody’s home… the elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top… 😀
