Can You Guess Who “The Great Stupid,” The DEI Ethics Train Wreck And The Hamas-Israel Ethics Train Wreck Are Ganging Up On In Germany?

Yes, it’s come to this! In the town of Tangerhütte, about 2 hours east of Berlin, Germany, a daycare center that for decades has been named in honor of the most famous child murdered during the Holocaust in World War II, is removing Anne’s name. The Anne Frank Daycare Center will become the “World Explorers Daycare Center” because…wait for it!…the name makes some “migrant” parents feel “uncomfortable.” It isn’t welcoming enough, or something, now that Israel is at war with Gaza.

The daycare center’s director explains that the change from the center’s current name is now troubling “parents with migrant backgrounds” who complained that they found it “challenging” to explain Anne’s story to their children. Of course, the whole idea behind such honors is that succeeding generations remember important stories, like we remember the complex tragedy of the Civil War with statues of its many flawed participants…wait. Oops! Never mind.

City officials now insist the renaming is necessary “to celebrate the diversity” of the children attending the daycare center, as explained by Andreas Brohm, the mayor. Because of the large number of Hamas supporters in the town, Anne Frank no longer aligns with the “new focus on diversity,” Brohm said. Despite Germany’s strong support for Israel as part of its penance for launching the Holocaust under He Who Must Not Be Named, respecting diversity—Kill the Jews/ Don’t kill the Jews: Diversity! Equity! Inclusion!—elevates the feelings of many parents about the current name above “the global political situation.”

Writing at “Victory Girls,” Deanna Fisher muses,

[I]f her name comes off the daycare, where does it stop? How many schools all over the world carry her name? A lot. And how quickly will that change if the local population decides that having a school named after Anne Frank sends the “wrong” message about “diversity, equity, and inclusion”? Where does this end? Given the amount of ugly anti-Semitism we have seen this weekend, and what is promised to come, I am not sure where it ends. And I’m not sure that the West has the backbone to stop it, either.

Oh, I’m absolutely sure it doesn’t! After all, a life-time petty hood died of a drug overdose under the knee of a Minnesota cop three years ago, so of course Anne Frank’s name has to go. Come on! It makes perfect sense!

The Great Stupid is all-powerful, and its reach is infinite…

  1. The west has turned into a parody of itself. Yes, it is very inclusive to accommodate people who want to kill all the Jews in the world and not make them feel uncomfortable about their bigotry and genocidal plans. I’m sure that doesn’t make Jews feel excluded or uncomfortable at all.

Maybe they should start putting antipsychotic medication in the water supply. People clearly need it.

    • Europe is trapped – they’ve allowed a flood of Islamic immigrants in so rapidly and did not assimilate them at all. If the radicals flipped a switch and the faithful followed, Europe would be a caliphate over-night because enough Europeans are convinced that opposing it would be racist, and the majority of the balance of Europeans are so demoralized with their own culture that they wouldn’t lift a finger to stop it.

        • Speaking of European Muslim immigration:
Let us not overlook, forget, the (tolerated) violence perpetrated against woman.
Just google the subject to begin to comprehend the mindset and violent nature of radicalized Muslims, like Hamas. It is tough reading.
Fortunately, the US has tight border security.

As I mentioned in a previous comment; authorities are afraid of radical Muslims because they respond to resistance with wicked violence. Israel is now reminded of this truism that just never changes.

I have included just one linked article, there are *countless* others.

          https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/10381/europe-women-muslim-atrocities

      • Yup. Europe has basically committed civilizational suicide by allowing unlimited, unrestricted immigration from incompatible cultures hostile to their own. I suppose it is considered inclusive to destroy your own culture to accommodate cultures that hate you.

The slavish devotion to unfettered illegal immigration is going to destroy the west, but apparently complete and total self-destruction is a small price to pay if it means not having to admit you were wrong.

  2. NP spot on.

Do any of these DIE advocates realize that the arguments they are using are in direct opposition to the idea of inclusion.

Imagine if white parents stated that they felt uncomfortable about sending their child to a school named after a black person.

    • Where Muslims are in the minority, you hear endless talk about minority rights. Once Muslims are in the majority, there ARE no minority rights.

      • Yep. That’s because Islam teaches a two-tiered approach to control. When in the minority, it emphasizes “manipulation” to gain a stronger foothold. Once majority rule is reached, “manipulation” is replaced with “intimidation”.

        Pretty simple formula…

  3. What part are the parents struggling to explain to their children?

That Anne Frank was a girl who was killed 80 years ago?

Or that Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who was killed 80 years ago?

    • It is actually 3-fold.
      (1) When hopelessly outnumbered Muslims will appeal to ‘tolerance’ and ‘we only want to worship in our own way in peace’.
      (2) When they have enough supporters to hold their own, they engage in defensive jihad. Any offence is protested, possibly violently.
      (3) When they have a majority, they go to offensive jihad. People must join Islam, pay the jizya in a humiliating fashion (Jews and Christians only), or die.

You can see how this worked out in Mohammed’s interactions with the Jews and Christians of Medina. They offered him sanctuary after the Meccans tried to kill him and his followers. Once he had enough followers, he started attacking the Christians and Jews verbally and then physically. Eventually, he took over the city, eliminating the Jews and Christians.

  4. Perhaps someone should point out that Germany’s anti-Nazi laws should proscribe the name change because it is exactly what a NAZI would do. Maybe we should just say the “good Germans”are still are advancing Nazi ideals once again.

  5. Maybe they should rename the school after the Iranian girl who was beaten to death by the Iranian morality police for not wearing a burqa? That would be easy to explain to their children.

  6. Once we started taking the names of “problematic” historical figures out of the public square, it didn’t take a genius to see that it would escalate.

I admit, though, I hadn’t expected the blacklist to go from General Lee to Anne Frank in just three years.

    • More like six, since this nonsense started in 2017, but fizzled. It got turbocharged, though, with the George Floyd freakout. Still, I never expected it to go from generals and explorers with complicated histories to murdered teenage girls.

  7. Who ever thought that the death of one petty hood under non-racial circumstances would trump the death of six million Jews and four million Poles?

  8. Civilized westerners are afraid of not granting the *polite requests* of Muslims because radicalized Muslims back up those polite requests with violence, consistently and brutally.
The question is, how does one deal with violent bullies?
These bullies are not going anywhere. Destroying Western Civilization is their life mandate.

  9. A few random thoughts:

Why are they naming a daycare facility after Anne Frank in the first place? Nothing about her fame has anything to do with proper childcare?

Cynically speaking, if they named it after her to garner goodwill, it makes sense to change it when it no longer serves that purpose.

“City officials, on the other hand, remained steadfast in their decision to change the name.” Is this a private enterprise or not? If it is government run, of course you can’t expect them to have any principles. This is just another reason to keep government out of area better handled by the private sector.

” It seems little wonder that something like “World Explorers” – which is apparently what it will be renamed – feels appropriately generic.” Please tell me they are going to feature a new logo that provides a prominent silhouette of Christopher Columbus.
