I have been procrastinating in finishing this series, waiting for a final shoe to drop and instead being buried by dozens. So let’s get it out of the way, admitting that the ethics rot being exhibited by the American Left’s anti-Semitism, obtuseness regarding the nature of war and appalling ignorance of history is now on full display for all to see and retch over. When it stops nobody knows, especially me. Ethical people can only hope that there are appropriate consequences. I can’t begin to thoroughly cover the revolting developments, but this is the best I can do…
1. Perhaps the most ethically head-exploding news was that four photojournalists who provide reporting and photos for major news media outlets like Associated Press , CNN, the New York Times, Reuters, and others were apparently embedded with the Hamas terrorists as they murdered Israeli civilians in the sneak October 7 attack.. The question being raised is: Did they have advance notice of the assault, and yet simply go along to get vivid photos to sell? Or to put it another, more pointed way, did the AP, CNN, the New York Times, and Reuters know about the Hamas terror attack in advance…a and do nothing to warn Israel?
Of course they are all denying it. This would violate specific principles of journalism ethics, and you and I know how seriously this organizations take those….
2. As that sign above reminds us, support for Palestinian terror is part and parcel of intersectionality, meaning that the end result is to vilify Israel and Jews, despite the fact that Jewish voters have been a loyal and reliable part of the Democratic coalition for more than a century. 3. It might be easier to list the colleges where Jewish students have not been targeted by pro-Hamas fellow students as their school’s administrators try to take two irreconcilable positions simultaneously: ‘We support free speech on campus but anti-Semitism is intolerable,” especially after other forms of progressive-approved bigotry have flourished on campuses in recent years. In addition to all the Ivy League schools, recent unmasked “elite institutions” include MIT, Oberlin, and famously feminist Sarah Lawrence.
4. Nah, there’s no “deep state”! A leaked five-page memo, apparently organized by a junior diplomat who has suggested on social media that Biden’s support of Israel has made him “complicit in genocide” was signed by 100 State Department and USAID employees who urge President Biden and U.S. officials to demand a ceasefire in Gaza. The memo accuses Biden of “spreading misinformation in his Oct. 10 speech” supporting Israel. As you know, “misinformation” in progressive-speak is “information, facts and interpretations that don’t support a far-left agenda.” This is metaphorical chickens coming home to roost, as the Obama and Biden regimes intentionally stocked all U.S. departments and agencies with as many extreme progressives as possible.
5. Another mask off: the union that represents employees of The Southern Poverty Law Center, which is the useful tool of Democrats who want to cast their opponents as racists and organization that oppose their policies as “hate groups” announced that “what we see in Gaza is the violent imperialist desecration of a people – the beginnings of a genocide” while accusing Israel of apartheid and genocide? These are the people who are appealed to as authorities when the news media wants to tar a conservative advocacy organization as a hate group.
6. This will save me time: conflicted moderate-conservative-trying-to-be-a-progressive -because-all-of-his-gay-friends-are Andrew Sullivan has a typical beautifully written piece on his substack about the abject slander that it is Israel that is engaging in “genocide.” An excerpt:

Ethics Alarms 
4. I’d say it’s worse than that. I suspect everyone who’s been hired at State and USAID in the last twenty years is simply a fully marinated intersectionalist and Marxist. I doubt the hiring had to be selective. I’m sure every government employee hired in the last two decades hates the United States. People who go into government jobs are groomed by their college professors who are in fact members of and recruiters for the deep state. I know it was going on in the 1970s at my college.
4. Has the memo itself been published? It would be interesting to know which State Department employees need to turn sue their educational institutions for malpractice.
For oppressors, “whites” have done a remarkable job at restraint and tolerance. But I have to wonder, once the cognitive dissonance scale finally exacts its demanding toll, once those “oppressors” have reached the conclusion that no matter what they do, it will never be enough to satisfy the “oppressed, and that the danger to the “oppressor” from the “oppressed” has reach an existential threat, if the “oppressor” decides to slough off the scare quotes and show the “oppressed” what oppression truly is? I have to believe that at some point, people will live up to (or in this case, down to) expectations when there seems to be little point in doing anything else.
And in sort of the obverse of what you’re suggesting may happen, just a month or so ago, the narrative was that white supremacists were actively involved in a large number of anti-Semitic hate crimes which were increasing at an alarming rate. White supremacists were deemed the biggest security threat America faced. And now, Jew hate is lauded. White supremacists can’t hate Jews, but Arab Americans and white hipsters and college students and Democrats can hate Jews and do anything to express that hatred with impunity and even praise.
I believe I covered that years ago on the ‘political correctness scale’.

1) I think the most obvious answer, and I’m loathe to cut the MSM any slack, is that they didn’t have any idea who they were hiring as on the ground journalists.
But it’s ultimately an effect of the dictatorship that Hamas runs. The “Gaza Health Ministry” is a propaganda arm of Hamas. Journalists working in Gaza are *only there* with Hamas approval or selection. They too, are a propaganda arm of Hamas.
(6) What is hilarious is that the left knows this. The ones that think it is wrong think the problem is that people are classifying Jews as White. I believe it was one of the Law School Deans that stated this as the actual problem. The problem isn’t that a big chunk of your law school wants genocide, it is that they are misclassifying part of the group they want dead.
These leftists don’t realize that they are going to need ‘oppressors’ to blame things on. Right now, it is Whites, conservatives, and Christians. Why would Jewish groups not realize the danger here? Failure to teach history in action?
Remember the Las Vegas school that put a child with a black mother and white father in front of the class and labelled him ‘White’ so they could blame all the bad things in the world on him? There were no White students in the class, so he was the closest thing they had. They needed someone to have ‘white privilege’ and to be the ‘oppressor’ to blame everything on.
