The News Media Is Apparently Determined To Provoke a Real Insurrection If Trump Wins In November: Is There Any Way To Stop Them?

No.

Not that I can see.

Maybe it’s not their intent. Maybe bias has made 95% of all journalists so stupid that they don’t realize what they are doing, or how unethical and irresponsible it is. But doing it they are.

Yesterday was the metaphorical coin dropping. Even though it should have been obvious that Trump, a former President whose single term looks like the “Shining City on a Hill” from the perspective of the current Biden presidency ethics train wreck, would win in a walk over the wan GOP competition in Iowa, Trump-Deranged commentators acted as if the Hindenburg was blowing up before their eyes. So desperate were they to see some progress in their endless “Get Trump!” pursuit that they told readers and viewers that Nikky Haley was a rising star in the weeks before the caucuses, hoping her candidacy would catch fire. Then, as devoted practitioners of old-fashioned democracy were trudging to their meetings during some of the worst winter weather Iowa has seen in years, most national news organizations projected former President Trump as the runaway winner before many Iowa caucus sites even even had ballots to tally. Nice.

Now that’s the way to suppress Trump votes.

Hanlon’s Razor tells us this was stupidity rather than malice, but some conservative sites called the strange goings on “election interference,” and why wouldn’t they? Some polls indicated that a majority of GOP caucus participants believe that Joe Biden wasn’t legitimately elected, and the news media hammered on this “baseless” belief. Message: Republicans are morons. No, Republicans witnessed the Russian collusion hoax, the two contrived impeachments, the steady anti-Trump Big lies every day in the Post, the Times and CNN, the nicely-timed national shutdown that wrecked Trump’s economy, the Hunter Biden cover-up, the sudden transition to voting methods that minimized election integrity, and they have some justifiable suspicions.

As do I.

The narrative is now official: Trump is an existential danger to democracy, an aspiring dictator and an orange Hitler. No balanced coverage is in the offing: the news media, incredibly, is more openly allied to the Democrats and united against Trump than ever before, which is amazing. The objective is to terrify as many Americans as possible, so they will be panicked and desperate if and when the Republicans win the White House.

Last night, when Trump’s unsurprising victory was a matter of record and the MSM knew there would be no upset, Rachel Maddow led a united anti-Trump panel in doom-saying while refusing to say Trump’s name like he was Voldemort. “I don’t mean to be again, too dark as you said on this, but if we are worried about the rise of authoritarianism in this country, we are worried about potential rise of fascism in this country,” shesaid, looking as if she was about to sob. “If we’re worried about our democracy falling to an authoritarian and potentially fascist form of government. The leader who is trying to do that is part of that equation… Is a much bigger part of that equation.”

Both CNN and MSMBC refused to show all of Trump’s victory speech while broadcasting the concession speeches of his competition. This is unprecedented: a former U.S. President, in an election year, had his speech censored. Yeah, sure he’ll be fairly covered in the upcoming campaign. Maddow explained the embargo with the ironic and hilarious statement, “It’s not out of spite, not a decision that we relish, it is a decision that we regularly revisit and, honestly, honestly, it is not an easy decision. There is a cost to us as a news organization of knowingly broadcasting untrue things.” MSNBC broadcasts “untrue things” approximately every 30 seconds! Over at CNN, Jake Tapper pulled the plug on Trump when he started talking about Biden’s open border crisis. “Here he is, right now, under my voice. You can hear him repeating his anti-immigrant rhetoric,” he lied. Trump was speaking about illegal immigration, not immigrants.

This is the kind of “journalism” the news media is offering now, and it will only get worse. Much worse.

Over at the New York Times, the paper made it crystal clear what its mission is. In a somber, wildly dishonest editorial titled, “The Responsibility of Republican Voters,” the paper’s editors intoned that GOP voters have an “essential responsibility: to nominate a candidate who is fit to serve as president, one who will “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

You know, like their candidate, Joe Biden, of whose party’s recent conduct Victor Hansen Davis wrote yesterday, “At each juncture of these extra-legal efforts, past precedents, former customs, and accepted traditions are being destroyed by the Left, whose endless miscarriages of justice are the real threats to constitutional government. And the more impotent these serial and unending gambits become, the more strident and desperate they appear.”

In fairness, I agree that the most responsible course for the Republican Party to follow would be to nominate someone, anyone, to carry its standard other than Donald Trump. But the despicable and frequently totalitarian tactics of his political foes even make me guiltily eager to see him prevail. The Times editorial was more fuel for that emotional position. It called January 6th, 2021 an “insurrection,” signature significance in my estimation for fools or liars. It actually quoted Trump’s “day one” joke as a serious admission that he plans on being a “dictator”!

The editors cite the charges facing Trump as if there were no political agenda behind these prosecutions. (Hanson: “In truth, each succeeding cycle of corrupt leftwing lawfare that ends in failure—the Russian collusion hoax, the weaponized first impeachment, trying ex-president Trump in the Senate as a private citizen, the laptop disinformation set-up, the Alfa bank ping caper, the pathetic attempt to erase Trump from state ballots, and the unfolding Fani Willis moral debacle—does not return things to zero. Rather, they serve as force multipliers for each other. Each overreach geometrically increases the dangers to democracy, ever more turns the public off, and ironically cascades sympathy and poll numbers for the very target of their paranoias. Some of the prosecutors have colluded with White House lawyers and congressional liaisons. Some had run for office, offering campaign promises to get Trump convicted for something or other. Now, after years of delays and deadends, all four are rushing to synchronize their trial dates to ensure that the front-running Trump is on the docket daily and not out on the 2024 campaign trail.”)

Turning the freakout over to its stable of race-baiters, socialists, Stockholm Syndrome-suffering former conservatives, Democrat operatives and leftist hacks, the Times presented a series of “Trump is evil and his supporters are idiots, cultists and fascist” columns. Here’s how Jamele Bouie views Trump’s supporters:

“We frequently hear that Donald Trump represents a large and significant number of Americans, each attracted to him for several different reasons, none of which are that mysterious. There are supporters attracted to his doctrinaire commitment to social conservatism, even if he himself is a libertine. There are supporters attracted to his belligerent hostility toward a broad variety of perceived cultural enemies. There are supporters attracted to his open cruelty toward and contempt for various racial and religious “others.” And there are supporters who simply think he’ll get them a good “deal” in foreign and domestic affairs — whatever that actually means.”

That’s odd: none of the reluctant Trump supporters I know are likely to vote for Trump for any of those reasons. They support him because despite all the fear-mongering by the media, no wars started on his watch. He took great strides to making the U.S. energy independent; he worked to reverse the Democrat open-borders insanity; he reduced regulations; he killed many of the worst of Obama’s fiascos (like the violation of due process principles for students accused of sexual harassment), and he managed to create a healthy economy until the pandemic destroyed it, all while having to battle a concerted effort by the Axis of Unethical Conduct (“the resistance,” Democrats and the MSM) to cripple his Presidency. They might vote for him because, as in 2016, electing Trump sends the strongest message possible that a large segment of America does not support enforced wokism, school indoctrination, anti-white racism, the stealth transformation of the U.S. into a Europe-style nanny state, and, perhaps especially, a rejection of exactly the kind of creeping fascism…

… that the Times wants to convince readers that Trump represents.

Yesterday made it clear that there will be no fair reporting of the 2024 campaign, that most of the news media will do its best to lie, spin and frighten voters into supporting the failed Democratic President to such an extent that a Trump victory is likely to spark rioting across the country that will make the George Floyd riots seem like a Cure Breast Cancer Walk-a-Thon.

And I have no clue about what can be done about it.

  1. Based on observed cultural, societal and political patterns, I see the 2024 election as being a societal and cultural disaster for the United States of America. No matter who is elected, the reactions are going to be bad, and they’re likely to be very bad.

My hope for a common sense solution to what ails the USA is all but gone. I think we’re way too deep in the murk of a bureaucracy/progressive dominated society & culture that leans very heavily towards woke totalitarianism to shift back to a Liberty dominated culture that’s inspired by the Constitution, freedom and individual rights.

We are rapidly reaching the precipice of hate inspired political violence & outright political persecution in the USA and that will slide us down a greased up slippery slope directly into totalitarianism as the dominate political force across the USA and the totalitarians will either destroy our Constitution and/or completely ignore that it exists. Remember, as we have seen across the USA, our laws are only good if they are supported and enforced and judges including SCOTUS can’t do shit to help or stop the chaos if cases never make it to their court.

The unspoken underlying foundational core that appears to be driving totalitarian progressives is rights for me but not for thee and I firmly believe that they are now only one election away from going straight over the edge and doing absolutely everything they can to achieve it; fuck the constitution, fuck the law, fuck innocent until proven guilty, fuck civility, fuck free speech that disagrees with them, fuck the status quo, fuck the police, fuck your rights, fuck it all – sounds like an absurd bunch of immature teenagers throwing a shit fit doesn’t it. Progressives really do seem to actually want unhinged cultural chaos so they can achieve their goals of completely undermining our culture and way of life and we’re on the verge of giving them exactly what they want and there isn’t a way to stop it.

I’m going to say this with all honesty, fear is already in place in the United States and people are retreating and isolating themselves in their world hoping and praying that they don’t accidently piss off the wrong mob. There are people I personally know around the USA that have completely succumbed to the fear and won’t say shit to the lunatic totalitarian woke cult for fear of what they’ll do to them and their families. We are done as a freedom loving nation that values liberty if fear prevents those with common sense to stand up against the the lunatic fringe that’s got our country by the balls and squeezing the very life out of it.

I don’t know anyone that thinks the 2024 Presidential election is going to actually solve our societal, cultural and political problems and instead make them all far, far worse. Please steer me towards hope if you can.

Do you have a plan for your family and the means to implement it if the worst you can imagine happens to our society after Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

  2. most national news organizations projected former President Trump as the runaway winner before many Iowa caucus sites even even had ballots to tally. Nice.

Now that’s the way to suppress Trump votes.

Sorry I can’t tell what this means? Can you explain?

    • Sorry: I should have been clearer.

The rules governing the news media calling elections holds that no race cam have a winner “called” before the polls close. There was a controversy over early calling decades ago: the issue was that once a state race was declared settled, voters who might have voted for the predicted winner would decide not to vote (or, conceivably, potential voters for the projected loser). The networks and the other news organizations agreed that no race could be called based on exit polling until the polls had closed in that state.

But on MLK Day, the AP called the Iowa caucuses for Trump before most of the state’s caucuses had even been held. This was because 1) everybody knew that Trump would win and 2) caucuses are not like elections or primaries. Caucusgoers arrive and check in. After that, there are some procedural measures, like electing precinct chairs and precinct secretaries. The new chairs will then invite presidential candidates’ supporters to address the room. After those speeches, caucusgoers receive their ballots and cast their votes for their preferred candidates. The votes are collected, tabulated and then typically announced to the room. It’s a drawn out process, but this time, cell phone alerts were going off telling participants that the matter was decided before the caucus results. Add to that the horrible weather, and it is easy to see how this could have depressed turn-out or altered the vote totals. And since in Iowa, the whole game is beating or failing to reach expectations, the early calls by all the news organizations risked interfering with the caucuses, the turneout, the final percentages and the delegates awarded.

Afterward, there was widespread criticism of what happened, with CBS Mornings co-host Tony Dokoupil (among other) telling the audience that “the decision last night by the AP, many news organizations, including CBS, to project a win for Donald Trump just 30 minutes into the night, while some people were still caucusing” upset the caucus participants, as well it should have. “News alerts started going off on people’s phones,” he reported, even though “no one had, in fact, cast a ballot”.This, Dokoupil said, “just all the energy drained out of the room.”

  3. Well, they are STILL finding uncounted ballots from the 2020 election in Michigan, so I think questions of election integrity are quite valid.

As far as planning for the election, I note that gun-confiscation and banning efforts are in full effect right now. Twenty states have petitioned the federal government to start restricting ammunition sales to citizens as a result of their failure to reduce firearms sales. About 2/3 of the country live in a household with firearms currently. In 2020, the government was telling us that firearms ownership was a bygone relic and less than 5% of the population owned guns.

In my opinion, this vast rise in firearms ownership is a direct result of the lawlessness and tyrannical behavior of our governments. The government has grown bigger, law enforcement has grown larger, but the public is being protected from criminals less and less. Law enforcement is focusing on citizens that the government dislikes, not people who are preying on other citizens. The IRS has now become a law enforcement agency with thousands of armed agents. Federal courts are ruling that federal officers operate in a ‘Constitution-free’ environment and can’t be held responsible for their actions, no matter how outrageous or violent. A federal agent can literally walk up to a citizen and shoot them for no reason and there is nothing legally that can be done about it.

    https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/us-supreme-court-insulates-federal-agents-accountability-2022-06-10/

The government in the US (all governments) are spending more than $25,000 per person each year or $73,000/household in the US. The median household income is only $74,000. This is not sustainable, hence the increase in enforcement against citizens.

  4. The media and it’s activist allies came pretty damn close to provoking an insurrection after the killing of George Floyd. That was the death of one person under questionable circumstances and you saw what happened. The same people also provoked weeks of rioting following the election in 2016, for whom very few people were actually prosecuted. There is actually a statute pending in Congress right now to prohibit private paramilitary activity. You can bet your bookshelf that it’s going to be selectively enforced against only those that the axis of unethical conduct hates. Not a single member of antifa or a similar group will ever do a day in prison under it.

The question is, just how much are the rest of us going to tolerate before we start fighting back? We’ve seen with the other side can do, and we’ve also seen what’s happened in the rural areas when the folks there, who are generally white, armed, conservative, and not up for dealing with nonsense, stand up. It didn’t get much coverage, because of course the media wanted to portray the rioting left as an unstoppable Force of Justice. However, the times when groups like this went to stir up trouble in other than the major cities, often they got opposed, or beaten, or even shot. Not too far from me, black lives matter crumpled like paper when the Italians showed up in force to prevent destruction of a statue. Of course they said they were never going to do that, but if you believe that, you’re an idiot.

The response of the authorities was pathetic and some of these blue cities, like Mayor Beetlejuice in Chicago telling those who had weapons at their disposal not to use them to protect themselves. She just wanted her people to be good little sacrificial lambs and hope that the mob would spare them. That’s not what this country is supposed to be like.

People are not supposed to have to cower at home hoping that the mob will spare them and not beat them up or steal everything or destroy everything and leave them with nothing. What needs to happen in the places where the local authorities will simply ignore the needs of the people is for the people to take up arms and defend themselves. Aim for the center of the body, and in hand to hand combat aim for the knees, because people with broken kneecaps cannot march in protest. 8 years ago I said that if you took away the soapbox, the ballot box, and the jury box, people would turn to the cartridge box.

It’s not supposed to have come to this. We’re supposed to be able to work out our differences and accept the occasional loss with grace. This is supposed to be a nation where all voices, including the conservative ones, are heard. This is also supposed to be a nation where the founding documents are respected. This is also supposed to be a nation where the decisions of the courts are respected, even if people don’t agree with them. This is supposed to be a nation where the results of elections can be trusted.

You can see yourself what we’ve become. The Democratic party has disputed and denied three elections since the beginning of this century, and no one has accused them of being criminals for doing so. If that were the case, then Al Gore and a lot of other folks would be due in time and maybe still in jail today. Not only that, but a lot of those idiots who tried to disrupt Trump’s inauguration and would be doing hard time and not slap on the wrist time. But, if you even raise a question about the unique circumstances of 2020, the Democratic party wants you put in jail, and exiled from public life on a permanent basis. Adam Schiff is running for the Senate on a platform that includes elimination of the electoral college, elimination of the legislative filibuster and a whole lot of other reforms that are aimed at one thing: permanent control of this nation by one party and one party alone. Will any of those reforms ever be applied? probably not, but it should scare people that they’re even being proposed. It should scare people that the Democratic party has started to mainstream the idea of packing the Supreme Court in the hopes of undoing any and all decisions that it does not like. It should also scare people that there was already one documented attempt to assassinate a Supreme Court Justice in the wake of a decision someone did not like. It should scare you that there was the threat of an anti-catholic Kristallnacht in the wake of the jobs decision. It didn’t get too far, but the thought should never have entered anyone’s mind who was not on The lunatic fringe. It should scare the hell out of everybody that a substantial chunk of this country is actually looking to turn on the Jewish community because the nation of Israel dared to defend itself after a vicious terror attack that killed more Jewish civilians than have ever been killed since the Holocaust.

Like it or not, the time has arrived in which the law-abiding Americans have to stand up and say that enough is enough, and if you continue to bully us, attack us, and hurt us, we’re coming after you. It isn’t supposed to come to this. However, the idea of being forced into permanent second class status is not what this country is about. That’s what drove protests in Boston to get ever more violent in 1774 and finally end in April of 1775 with two armed forces facing each other down at the bridge in Concord, with the force of oppression saying “disperse and lay down your arms ye damned rebels!” The other side did no such thing, and said that if they mean to have a war, then let it begin here. No one knows who did it, but then came the shot heard round the world, and the rest is history. Jefferson himself said that occasionally the tree of Liberty needs to be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants. I think the roots of the tree of Liberty are looking particularly dry this year.

  5. So, I worked out how much money is being spent by governments. Federal, state, and local governments spent over $9.8 trillion this year. This works out to over $79,000 for each of the 123 million households in the US. Using the percentile incomes for US families, governments spent ALL the income of the bottom 93% of US households.

Now you see what is at stake and why they can’t let Trump win. Trump might try to do something about this to avert the utter disaster that awaits. The only way to even slow this down is to DRASTICALLY reduce spending, eliminating entire departments.

      • I vote the DOE, both of them. The Department of Energy has made things worse by their very existence and the Department or Education has done the same. Getting rid of Federal control of these items will only help us. That’s $120B right there. ($52B and $68B respectively).

        • I would certainly agree with deep-sixing the Dept. of Education. Full disclosure with what comes next: I am not an educator and do not work in that arena.

I have never understood why some people believe education policy and/or standards and/or curriculum should be set at the federal level. In my mind, local government knows its population breakdowns, its student-body makeup, and the needs of its school districts far…no, FAR…better than anyone in D.C.

What’s more, it seems to me that an “overarching” set of standards created at the federal level would have to try to encompass students in vastly different situations, so the higher up the ladder you go to set any kind of standard, the lower the standard has to be. I think that’s a really bad idea, and I would venture that many of the problems we see in education originate there.

Much like election systems, there is nothing wrong with each of the fifty states setting its own curriculum and standards, so long as a few basic principles are enforced in all the systems. I’m sure I am oversimplifying to some degree, but regardless of whether people agree with what I think should be taught in the classroom, it’s safe to say that most parents want their children taught a certain way. The best way to make that happen is to decentralize education and push that power closer to the parents.

          • Joel Mundt: “I have never understood why some people believe education policy and/or standards and/or curriculum should be set at the federal level. ”

The problem is: they don’t believe that. Every time some liberal pisses and moans about No Child Left Behind, I think: “This is exactly what YOU made possible, you idiot!”

They don’t seem to get that, with central control, bad ideas get implemented THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. That is one big reason to oppose the practice.

            -Jut

          • This is basically where I stand on the Dept. of Education. I do not automatically hate teachers, or wish our country ill for our children. However, the teachers I talk to say, more and more, that their job is impossible because of what comes from outside of their school, be it the state or federal government.

I have heard from multiple public school teachers recently that they are glad I homeschool because they wouldn’t want their kids or grandkids in the school system. One of my mom’s clients is a public middle school teacher who, when her daughter reached middle school age, pulled her out of school and homeschooled her. This is how much she believes in the school system.

There need to be changes for our future, but I cannot solve the whole problem. I do believe that a good start would be taking away federal control of schools and moving that to state or community control as the highest level. Let teachers address the needs in front of them, rather than having to do what makes someone 2,000 miles away happy.

        • The EPA should also go. Almost all environmental enforcement is done at the state level, but the EPA spends vast amounts of money.
We could eliminate the EPA, give half their budget back to the state agencies and get better environmental outcomes at half the cost.
In addition, we could eliminate the environmental disasters caused by the EPA such as the King’s Mine incident and the East Palistine, OH disaster.

Oh, the FBI is a temporary agency to deal with prohibition violence and the ATF’s only job is supposed to be collecting tax stamp income from NFA items. What is the FAA doing? Not inspecting aircraft and not turning out quality air traffic controllers. Maybe return those agencies to their missions. More savings. I mean, when was the last time the FBI stopped a terrorist incident that they didn’t start?

What about Thousands Standing Around? It looks like the TSA missed 20,000 loaded firearms carried onto planes in 2023. Not one was used in a violent incident. So…why do we care? Why do we have these people scrutinizing harmless items and harassing people, stealing from them, humiliating them, etc? Just return airport security to airports and local law enforcement. Detroit Metro Airport security was better before the TSA. It had to be DOWNGRADED in the name of uniformity. Roanoke’s airport used to have a guy that would closely scrutinize anyone he didn’t know. He just knew all the regular flyers and he scrutinized everyone else. It was probably a pretty effective system but its gone now. So, ditch TSA and get more effective screenings cheaper. Let’s just get rid of Homeland Security completely. I mean, the point of Homeland Security was to get rid of all these competing federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Instead, we just added one.

          • Draining the swamp was a prominent part of Trump’s platform. Red meat guaranteed to fire up his base, so he never stopped yapping about it and had four years to do it.

            All hat and no cattle?

  6. They’re all but saying if Trump wins in November, we’re going to prevent him from becoming the president by taking over the country by any means necessary, then we’re going to punish everyone who voted for him.
Remember, there were riots and destruction after Trump won in 2016. They were rather limited in their scope because everyone thought Hillary was going to win, so they had no real organization behind their violence. Not so this time. If Trump wins, they’ve indicated they’re ready to literally burn the country down. There will of course be resistance to their actions, and we all know where that leads.

    • Even so they were pretty damn organized in 2016 – there were people protesting in NYC the day after with professionally printed signs, that didn’t come from nowhere. It got so bad that when I went to NYC the Friday after for Veterans’ Day, there were DHS officers on the ferry and Fed, state and local law enforcement everywhere you looked along the parade route. NYC along 5th Avenue had to become a de facto police state just so we could honor our veterans on the one day set for that purpose. Now the resistance has had 8 years to organize further, and four years beyond the insurrection of 2020. I won’t rehash everything here, but I will highlight the fact that 2020 saw police stations occupied and sacked by rioters and small-scale secessions where mob rule was enforced by armed thugs. Anyone remember Seattle and Portland? I seriously wonder if Portland can take another sustained period of chaos like 2020 without a collapse, and I think Seattle isn’t far behind. Do we want more of that?

      • I think we’re all pretty much in agreement that should Trump get elected, something very bad is going to happen in this country, and I believe they’ll overtly threaten this in an attempt to frighten people away from voting for Trump. Remember their mantra: “By any means necessary”.

        • Any time the left doesn’t get their way, completely and entirely, they become violent. At this point, everyone should have noticed that a significant portion of the left is made up of psychopaths. This doesn’t necessarily come from ideology, it may simply be a result of the left being the elites. Psychopaths are drawn to power. The left also actively encourages psychopathic behavior from their supporters through double legal standards, lawfare tactics, demonization of their political opponents and rationalizing the behavior away. Psychopaths are going to accumulate where they are encouraged to act out their psychopathic behavior and face no consequences for doing so.

It doesn’t matter if Trump wins or loses. The left is currently in charge and yet flash mobs of looters are still destroying major cities. Violent protests are still going on in support of terrorist organizations. The left is violent. Period. End of story.

Threatening violence from the left if Trump wins is like threatening that water will be wet if Trump wins. What they are currently doing is demanding that people cower in fear of the violence. The whole lot of narcissistic bullies can bite me. Burn down leftwing cities. See if I care. Spoiler: I don’t.

  7. Jack,

Incredible commentary. One of your best! Unfortunately, I share your concern and dismay. I fear we are too far down the slippery slope to avoid the tipping point that I have written about a few times in EA. We may even reach it in 2024. The division fostered by media and progressives has poisoned our culture so much I think it is impossible to avoid the tipping point. What kind of country and society comes out on the other side is impossible to predict. I imagine it will be nowhere near the gem given to us by our country’s founders. Those ideals have been increasingly subverted since the early 20th century.

Driving our country to this point is the power lust of the multitude of federal politicians and unelected bureaucrats whose reason for being is control of the populous. Over the decades they have debased the founders’ ideal of a limited federal government. Bit by bit they have whittled away our freedom and gained more and more control of every aspect of individual
lives under the guise of saving the planet and each of us from ourselves. Today you cannot freely choose what type of lightbulb to use in your home and highway signage verbiage used by States is censored, all courtesy of the federal government.

While this erosion has been continuous, it has been spurred by Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Obama, and Biden. I believe the most destructive Presidents from a personal liberty standpoint were FDR and Obama. Interestingly FDR was elected to four terms and Biden’s presidency is really Obama’s third term. The Republicans are not blameless in our country’s destruction. Many Republicans support progressive ideals and even nonprogressive Republicans have supported the Democrat’s vote buying programs. While I don’t know what will become of the US, I am fairly certain that in ten years, Obama will have fulfilled his promise or threat of fundamentally changing America.
