Oh, this is too good. If the Ethics God is responsible for this, she’s a genius.

You know that supposed “Stop the Steal”-connected flag that the Alito vacation home had flying over it briefly last summer? The flag that “proved” that the conservative Justice was either a serial mad flag-flyer who had engaged in “the appearance of impropriety” by showing his sympathies for the January 6 Capitol rioters twice, previously with an upside-down U.S. flag, or had wrongly “permitted” his wife to express such sentiments via flag twice, the first time almost four years ago? That flag?

That flag, the “Appeal to Heaven” flag, has been displayed along with other historic U.S. flags outside San Francisco’s City Hall for more than half a century. Along with 17 other flags representing different moments in American history, the flag favored by Mrs. Alito (of course the flag conspiracy purveyors are certain that the Supreme Court Justice is lying and that he is the real culprit, just because) appears in the Pavilion of American Flags in Civic Center Plaza.

Correction: appeared, past-tense. As soon as San Francisco’s wokies realized that they had a traitorous flag out there, they quietly took it down without comment, so as not to embarrass the assholes who raised this false flag nonsense in the first place. Pressed for an explanation, Rec & Parks officials said in a statement that while it once symbolized a “quest for American independence,” the flag has “since been adopted by a different group — one that doesn’t represent the city’s values.”

It was replaced with a standard American flag. It would be great if they hung it upside-down by mistake, but that’s expecting too much from that puckish Ethics God. (The last controversial flag in the city’s collection to be removed was the Confederate Flag.)

You got that? So the most left-wing, anti-Trump, pro-2020 election community in the country was flying the “Appeal to Heaven” flag for years after the rioters (this is the theory anyway) converted it by its appearance on January 6, 2021 into a “Take over the U.S. Government with bear spray and silly costumes!” flag. But, you see, that wasn’t showing solidarity with the rioters, while Mrs. Alito or hubby Joseph were showing solidarity with the insurrectionists, though, when you come to think of it, maybe they were showing solidarity with San Francisco.

Nah, it couldn’t be that. See, the rules are that if you’re a conservative who is viewed as a potential obstacle to the Left’s takeover, whatever you (or your spouse, apparently) do must be interpreted as malicious and, if possible, illegal. If you do exactly the same thing but are one of the Good Americans (or Supreme Court Justices) —you know—then whatever you might do is benign, even if its exactly the same thing you are condemning the bad American for doing.

Clear?

The Alito flags ambush, begun by the New York Times more than a week ago, is flying right up there along with the most disgusting and unethical contrivances of the proto-totalitarian Left and the Axis of Unethical Conduct. Everyone connected with it should be excoriated, shunned, mock and reviled, including all the biased legal ethicists I’ve been watching disgrace themselves in a Bias makes you Stupid” orgy.
