Proof Positive That Not Only Is the President Incompetent, Everyone Around Him Is Too

My poor, MSNBC-addled sister, who is thoroughly Trump-Deranged (and I resent the mainstream media for doing this to her), keeps saying that though it isn’t ideal, of course, having a puppet President managed by competent professionals and handlers who are the ones really running the country is still preferable to having an evil President like You Know Who.

I have pointed out that this seems like an odd stance from a supporter of the party that purports to be defending democracy, since figurehead leaders are a traditional feature of non-democratic governments (much as, you know, trying to throw the political opposition in prison is). Aren’t The People supposed to know who is running their nation and aren’t they supposed to be the onesThe People voted for on the ballot?

“Humminahumina,” she replies. Besides, all those shadow managers and handlers know what they are doing, unlike the Evil Orange Man.

Suuuure. Ann Althouse just focused on a perfect example of just how inept these mysterious rulers are: they have dubbed today’s Make or Break Post Debate Test II the President’s “big boy press conference.”

I guess I haven’t been paying enough attention to the fog and doubletalk coming from Biden World since Joe turned into Gabby Johnson in front of our very eyes. I thought I was, but apparently not. I just assumed the “big boy press conference” label was a derisive invention of the conservative media. It wasn’t! In Monday’s White House press briefing, John Kirby—remember, he’s the White House’s smart paid liar—announced that “The President will hold a press conference… a big boy press conference we’re calling it.”

Who is “We”? Whoever “We” is, they are joking behind the scenes about the alleged President of the United States being in the position of a child facing a challenge when he takes on a live, televised Presidential press conference, a ritual that has been routine and considered unremarkable since Eisenhower was in office. Not only that, “We” is admitting that this is how the President is regarded by the people who work most closely with him, the same shadowy people who, with the full cooperation of the press, deceived the public regarding their President’s deteriorating condition. The way Biden’s communications experts, advisers and handlers have chosen to bolster the image of the President and restore public confidence in his ability to do the job it elected him to do is to openly treat Biden as a little boy, and, incredibly, say publicly that this is what they are doing.

They are morons. And these are the people who are really running the country.

  1. It’s unclear to me how he will get through today’s press conference. Will there be a prepared speech? He’ll never get through a question and answer session without confirming what we already know.

He also has another interview scheduled with Lester Holt on Monday.

I don’t know much about dementia but my great aunt had dementia and she became more stubborn and belligerent as it progressed. It seems to me there is very little chance that he will resign voluntarily.

    • Edward, as is the case with children, Alzheimer’s patients can be managed by their caregivers. We got Mrs. OB’s demented and often recalcitrant mother to take her daily medications by going to a drug store and buying a bunch of snacks and toys and stuffing them into thirty or so lunch bags and stapling them shut. She would be given a bag to open each day once she had taken her medicine. Worked like a charm. Again, I think twenty or thirty million in cash money will do the trick to rid us of the Bidens. All of them.

  2. And, as it’s been said many times, they are aided by well-known members of an incompetent, dishonest media whose top personalities saw all that’s been happening but continued to fail to report on the obvious – reporting that would have been headlines if the other party was leading the same coverups.

Two stories to prove such….”NBC News’ Chuck Todd reveals ‘senior’ cabinet secretary told him in 2022 Biden ‘can’t run again like this’ ‘There is no evidence he can serve four years,’ Todd said, echoing George Stephanopoulos”

And of course, Stephanopoulos being quoted after his interview with Biden, ” George Stephanopoulos was caught on camera expressing doubts about President Biden’s ability to serve another term in office. The quote is:

“I don’t think he can serve four more years.”

This quote was recorded by TMZ and published on July 10, 2024.

If staffers and family continually try to hide the obvious, and the media does the same, who is anyone to believe…..answer – our own eyes and ears!

  3. I first heard the term “big boy” used in a story about a guy who wasn’t at work in his office at one of the towers because he’d taken a few hours off that morning to buy his young son “a big boy” bed. Hilarious.

Our betters are simply showing the deep state expert population is really running the government. Of course, politicians are just idiots they have to put up with. They’re like “the talent” in television. The morons that are actually in front of the cameras. The Ted Knights of the world. It’s the brainiac “producers” who are really running things.

How can you blame the media for addling the brain of a Harvard undergrad and HLS graduate (I assume) who worked in the DOJ and at Arnold and Porter? Not that I can explain the phenomenon myself. Trust me.

  4. OK. let’s stop with the trivial people. Here is the Chair of Biden’s Council of Economic Advisors. This is the head of a board of ‘experts’ that are supposed to guide the economy. In typical Democratic Party fashion, he has a B.A. in Music, and M.A. and Ph.D. in Social Work. He has probably never taken a college-level math course. Here, he tries and fails to explain how the US government prints and borrows money. After this interview, all the economists defended him, stating that the problem is that the question is too stupid to answer because anyone who thinks the US prints or borrows money shouldn’t be allowed to answer questions.

    • The current female, Democrat governor of Arizona is a … wait for it … social worker. Isn’t that just perfect? Put the public purse in the hands of a person who’s professionally trained, first and foremost, to help people tap every imaginable government program for money, and has spent her entire working career doing so.

      • I believe P. J. O’Rouke once discussed how to determine what would go wrong with a government program. It went something along the lines of “If it is a Republican, the answer is corruption. If it is a Democrat, the answer is incompetence…and corruption”.

  5. From the Althouse piece, some interesting context on where “big boy” came from:

Kirby’s tongue-in-cheek reference was actually a callback to an exchange last week between [Karine] Jean-Pierre and Bloomberg journalist Justin Sink, who had asked her about the White House’s alleged strategy of shielding the president from “impromptu” settings in light of his disastrous presidential debate performance.

The press secretary had denied that Biden had anything to hide regarding his competence for office and duly promised a “solo” press conference from the president, which prompted Sink to ask for more specifics: “Is that gonna be kind of the real, big boy press conference that we’re used to or…”

“Did you just say ‘big boy press conference’?” she responded, as fellow members of the press corps broke up laughing. “Big Boy Justin over there… was asking some big boy questions,” Jean-Pierre joked.

Inside baseball stuff. Ill-advised, for sure, but perhaps understandable.

  6. Jimmy Dore did a segment on the “big boy press conference” in one of recent shows/talks. John Kirby said it – out loud – and then it was repeated by KJP.

    Astounding.

I can imagine President Biden watching that, thinking, “Oh boy! This’ll be just like eating at the grown-ups’ table, but I get to be the grown up. Pass me a Tootsie-Pop…uh…yeah, that’s right…Jill!!”

But I suppose it’s easy to treat the Commander-in-Chief like either an infant or an imbecile (or both) when one knows the media will never question the leadership. The media looks a little more like the old-school Tass and Pravda every day.
