J.D. Vance Demonstrates the Ethical Remedy For Partisan Media Bias

J. D. Vance made the rounds of the Sunday morning TV shows, and neatly demonstrated why he will be an asset to the Republican ticket in the exchange above with CNN’s biased dim bulb Dana Bash.

Vance: “You’ve now asked me three questions about comments that I made three years ago. I wonder what Kamala Harris thinks about the fact that her policies opened the southern border.”

Bash: “I’m interviewing you not Kamala Harris.”

Vance: “You’re interviewing me because I respect that the American people wanted me to sat down for an interview. Kamala’s been the nominee for three weeks and she hasn’t sat down for a real interview.”

Bash: “We’re asking…”

Oh! You’re asking! Well then, as long as you’re asking, I guess you’re all crack journalists now! You and your pro-Democrat colleagues are allowing Harris and Walz to duck any scrutiny over their conduct, policies and statements while you attack Trump and Vance non-stop, but as long as you’re “asking” that the Democratic Party’s candidates submit to unscripted questioning so the public can learn what they will be voting for, that’s the extent of the news media’s responsibility, is it?

The news media is as much a part of the GOP’s opposition in this election as the Democratic ticket, as it was in 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020. It is the duty of the party to make it clear as crystal to the American public what the news media has become, and they can accomplish that if they are direct, articulate, and persuasive in flagging the hypocrisy and bias of Axis agents like Bash.

The tradition of being respectful to TV news interviewers was once a valid one, but it has lingered on long after the mainstream media ceased to deserve respect. Trump calling them the “enemy of the people” was effective exactly the way Ronald Reagan’s similarly condemned labeling of the Soviet Union as an “evil empire” was, and for the same reason: it was true.

Vance, Trump and every other Republican must have their facts straight and be prepared to make hacks like Bash look exactly as biased and dishonest as they are. It shouldn’t be difficult.

  1. I’m glad you highlighted her “We’re asking” response. What a cop-out. Had the situation been reversed and Trump/Vance been reluctant to do interviews, Dana Bash – and any other number of Democrat operatives posing as “journalists” – would have likely told their audiences that Trump/Vance were scared to interview, and until they did, they should NOT be considered real, viable candidates.

    That’s what they would do.

I don’t know a lot about Walz, but the fact is VP Harris doesn’t want to do interviews, and the Democratic Party doesn’t want her to speak at all – because she’s the single most barfalicious interview on the planet – and the Dana Bashes of the world will just give her a pass for as long as they can, making every effort to not expose her as the empty suit that she is.

  2. Now, when people people ask how I could support Trump, I kindly reeducate their misunderstanding by introducing them to the nuance that, in fact, I do not support Trump, but that he, in fact, supports my interests. And, in fact, I will vote for any man(even a yucky orange one) that provides representation to my interests.

  3. Then there’s RFK Jr. who in ever interview I’ve seen (which have been one in MSM, but in podcasts) he sounds the most authentic, doesn’t attack, speaks on issues, and seems very knowledgeable to me.

The fact that John Oliver did the most misleading hit piece about him after highlighting all his accomplishments before he as hated by the left was so moving.

I’d encourage you to watch that piece to see just how twisted and far the propganda is going… it was mindblowing…

I am excited that we have a person running who is conducting themselves without name calling and all the stuff the left and right are doing.

    • Polite, civil, and completely insane. Not only is RFK Jr. an extreme anti-vaxxer, which is dangerous and bonkers, he has also advocated arrest and imprisonment for “climate deniers.” The Kennedys were overdrawn at the dynasty bank with Bobby I : nobody should ever be elected to any office because of his name or relatives ( Hillary ).

Don’t be seduced by the Kennedy charm. Mary Jo was, and remember what happened to her.

      • I have heard him talk about the anti vax accusations and found his explanation not only believable, but smart. I too thought he was insane until I actually took the time to listen first hand.

Have you heard him address the anti Vax accusations?

even that term… I don’t think someone who wants to have vaccines safety tested is an antivaxxer.

Anyway, I know you don’t like him which every time I hear him speak, or often I think, “how can Jack think he’s nuts?”

Anyway, I find him a breath of fresh air and his plans seem reasonable to me, actually quite so.

I have seen him pretty harshly questioned and every time he gives answers that seem sound to me and when I have checked them out, what he has said was accurate.

          • Don’t all our choices do that?
and, I will dig deeper into that.

Thus far, every accusation against him I have found completely untrue and out of context. The MSM that you don’t trust has worked overtime lying about him…

            And gone too far imo.

What an interesting time to be alive.
