The announcement that the shamelessly biased and wildly incompetent “media expert” Brian Stelter is returning to CNN and that the network is resurrecting “Reliable Sources,” the once legitimate media watchdog show that Howard Kurtz ably and fairly hosted until it was corrupted by Stelter, proves one thing. CNN, after a brief (and only partial) attack of conscience, is fully committed to being a metaphorical whore for the Left again. After all, it has to help save democracy! Here’s Stelter’s announcement:
This revolting development means that Stelter, Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon, CNN’s most flaming propagandists and untrustworthy talking heads who were fired for disgracing even what is now laughingly called broadcast journalism, have found gainful employment, not at Hardee’s where they belong, but again in the field that they sullied by their presence.
(Last night I saw the promotional ad for Cuomo’s new gig, in which he was described as a combination of Edward R. Murrow, H.L. Mencken, Cary Grant and St. Paul. And this is a guy whose repeated mistakes and bone-headed statements earned the nickname, “Fredo.”)
At least Lemon and Cuomo are cute. Ethics Alarms generally has a policy of not using unflattering photos of horrible public figures, but there literally are no flattering photos of Stelter. In addition to being dishonest, biased and inept, he’s hard to look at. Being viewable on TV without Pepto-Bismol isn’t mandatory if a reporter brings sufficient compensatory talent, integrity and substance to the assignment. But fat, ugly and stupid is no way to go through a broadcast journalism career: what does Stelter have on CNN?
What he represents is more stomach-churning than his face. Stelter is definitely in the running for being the worst of the worst, as long as MSNBC is left out of the competition (along with the New York Times–from whence he came— and the Washington Post). This is a partisan hack who poses as a journalism ethics watchdog (Does he have any background in ethics or training in the field, you well may ask? Of course not.), yet somehow never found anything negative to say about one of the worst miscreants in the field, his own network. He has repeatedly denied that CNN did anything unprofessional by its cheerleading coverage of the fake Russian Collusion. He didn’t find the fact that Cuomo interviewed his own brother and helped try to cover up the ex-governor’s sexual harassment hobby worth mentioning on his show.
Here was his vomit-inducing sign-off in 2022 when I had hope of being rid of him for good:
“I can’t wait to be watching CNN seeing what happens to it in the future. I’m going to be rooting for it. I want CNN to be strong. I believe America needs CNN to be strong. I believe the free world needs CNN to be strong. And it will continue to be. Because all of us are going to help make that happen. The free world needs a reliable source.”
That sucking-up spectacular by itself should have been sufficient for God to order that the words “ethical” and “journalism” never exit his lips again. Tragically, Chris Licht, the CNN chief who tried to move CNN back a bit closer to responsible and neutral journalism by firing Stelter was himself canned; bringing Stelter back is the equivalent of a defiant public announcement stating “CNN ‘s committed to being the mouthpiece of the Democratic Party and the American equivalent of Pravda, at least until we can elect Kamala Harris by keeping voters in the dark about her past, her character, her beliefs, and her lack of ability and accomplishments. And there’s not a damn thing anyone can do about it! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
If you have forgotten about Stelter—you know, like the brain will erase memories of horrible personal trauma—here is a collection of some of his worst moments, courtesy of NewsBusters.

Well, they do have to have all hands on deck if they’re going to defeat Bad Orange Man. Maybe they can get their talking points from Alexa!
I think there’s something Biblical about “a dog returning to its own vomit” that seems allegorically appropriate here.
