One would think this is obvious, but since the most unprofessional and incompetent White House spokesperson of all time—yes, even worse than Sean Spicer!—still has her job despite the stunt she pulled yesterday, it clearly isn’t obvious enough.
Yesterday? Oh, that. Yesterday President Biden’s DEI paid liar couldn’t deal with Peter Doocy’s questions about FEMA gaslighting regarding its strange shortage of funds to handle hurricane relief while the Biden-Harris administration was sending nearly $157 million to assist displaced people and refugees in Lebanon. Jean-Pierre—who can be seen on “X” and elsewhere denying to reporters that FEMA spends money relocating illegal immigrants and in earlier video clips saying that it does—called Doocy’s daring to question the administration’s excuses “misinformation.”
In case this fact has eluded you somehow, Democrats now use “misinformation” to mean “facts, interpretations and opinions that interfere with a narrative that advances our interests.” When Doocy refused to accept Jean-Pierre’s evasive and contradictory answers, such as stating that FEMA had plenty of fund for hurricane relief despite both President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas stating otherwise, Historic Paid Liar resorted to “slamming her notebook shut and storming out of the briefing room.”
Run away! Run away! As a wise President once said—we used to have those, you know—“If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen,” and accordingly, if you can’t handle tough questions from reporters, stay out of the job of press secretary. There is no excuse, justification or explanation for Jean-Pierre’s exiting like that: it is by definition unprofessional and signature significance a competent and professional press secretary doesn’t do that even once. She owes an apology to everyone in the room, but of course won’t give one: why should she? As perhaps the most flagrant DEI appointment in the Biden Administration—well, after Harris—-Karine Jean-Pierre knows she is untouchable, and anyway, Biden never fires anybody. In fact, the same day that Jean-Pierre fled her responsibilities because she is so bad at fulfilling them, it was announced she that had been promoted to “senior adviser” to President Joe Biden, according to ABC News.
To be fair, maybe even an incompetent advisor can help a demented President.
Two additional points that didn’t fit neatly into the prose above:
- As usual, this embarrassing display is being highlighted by conservative news media, as it should be, and ignored by most of the Axis outlets. The New York Times website doesn’t mention it. I just checked.
- Why is Doocy (of Fox News) usually the only reporter who regularly challenges Jean-Pierre’s propaganda? I guess the previous bullet point answers that one. Never mind.
Peter has been labelled a “nepotism hire” – and that is true – but I think he’s developed into into a decent reporter who hangs on tight, thinks quickly on his feet, and seems to stay professional and courteous in his interactions.
And even if no other reporter makes mention of it, at least each of them is forced to listen to those exchanges that reveal the Administration’s lies and hypocrisy.
I agree: Doocy has proven that he is a sharp and dedicated journalist, maybe because, in part, he knew he was under a microscope. Nonetheless, he took a job away from another young reporter who didn’t have his father in the Fox News power structure. Nothing Doocy does can change the unethical aspect of that hiring, just as Teddy Kennedy’s development into a respected and effective U.S. Senator justifies his being allowed to be a Senator after ducking a manslaughter conviction.
Doocy demonstrated professionalism, maturity, and restraint while still pressing the issue with her – you could he wanted say, “oh. come on – do you really think we are naive enough to buy your line of bullshit?” He did not back down, which frustrated her to no end.

More misinformation came out yesterday about the relief ‘effort’ in the Hurricane zone. A military Blackhawk helicopter is seen on video hovering over a private relief site, scattering and damaging the supplies for the survivors. The relief organization said a few black Suburbans did a slow roll by the site and shortly later the helicopter came, scattered their supplies, and left. I wonder how Karie Jean-Pierre would reply to that one? Would she declare it an act of equity?
Other people claimed that FEMA had previously asked them to donate all their supplies to FEMA and they had refused. That hasn’t been confirmed that I have seen, but the video is widely shared. Apologists are claiming this is the Blackhawk helicopter of another NGO. Who else has Blackhawk helicopters except the US and friendly militaries…except… Are they suggesting that the Taliban are in NC providing Hurricane relief?
PWS
What a sharp cartoon!
Michael, I saw Samaritan’s purse delivering supplies in a Black Hawk piloted by a volunteer pilot. It is therefore possible that an NGO was in a Black Hawk unless the National Guard allows volunteers to use their equipment which I doubt. Our state police use Black Hawk style choppers but obviously not with the firepower. That is not to say that it was an NGO who hovered over that site sending the pop up shelters flying ( I saw the video).
Black Hawk obtains certification for civilian operations
Well, your theory has already been shot down because the markings identified it as belonging to the US military.
I think this may be how the Biden administration “fires” people: promoting them out of harm’s way….
Isn’t that the ‘Dilbert Principle’?
BTW, ‘Dogbert’s Secret Management Handbook” was not meant to be a ‘how-to’ guide, but it seems to have been picked up by many in management as one.
“In case this fact has eluded you somehow, Democrats now use “misinformation” to mean ‘facts, interpretations and opinions that interfere with a narrative that advances our interests.'”
I thought that was “malinformation”.
I can’t keep up.
