The Worst Case Scenario

Haven’t seen Geena around these parts recently, but her return is appropriate. And she was just worried about her boyfriend turning into a giant fly. Compared to what the nation may be facing, that’s nothin’!

The totalitarian tilt of the Democratic Party is undeniable, and Ethics Alarms has been making the case for months that its complete rejection of fair and responsible tactics and rhetoric for fearmongering, paranoia and propaganda is dangerous—not just dangerous, but ominous. I am certain that if Trump wins narrowly, perhaps even if he wins decisively, the freak-out deliberately seeded by the Axis will result in riots coast to coast.

An essay on the blog “Chicago Boyz,” which I have never encountered before, makes a persuasive case that we are facing much worse than that. Read it, please. Some excerpts:

  • “There has been a lot of criticism from the Right regarding Jeffrey Goldberg’s article in The Atlantic “revealing” Trump’s affinity for Hitler. The critics says that the revelations are old and thinly sourced. The critics miss the point, which is that Goldberg’s article wasn’t so much meant to be an “October Surprise” as it was to give the Democrats the news hook they needed to launch their final argument that Trump is a fascist. The Goldberg article was merely the starter’s gun for that final argument.

  • “[T]he Democrats don’t much like the Constitution itself…It’s not just the elite either, with 49% of all Democrats thinking the document “should be mostly or completely rewritten.” The reasons vary, some Democrats believing that the document is tainted by its racist writers, other Democrats seeing it as a hindrance to the type of social change they wish to enact, and others just believing that a 240-year-old document is an archaic relic in need of a re-write. So the question I have asked those on the Right who see the 2024 Election through a normality bias is, on what basis do they believe that the Democrats will accept a Trump victory? The Democrats have spent the past eight years dismissing him as a legitimate part of the political system. They have turned that notion up to “11” over the past several years by explicitly calling him a threat to democracy and a fascist, and they have little attachment (among both elite and party identifiers) to the existing Constitutional order….”

  • “I haven’t even delved into the vast array of dirty, norm-breaking tricks that the Democrats have either engaged in or had revealed over the past four years, including lawfare, indictments, FBI raids, censorship, spying on campaigns by the security agencies, electoral chicanery, etc… All of which would lead to the understandable fear of the Democrats not relinquishing the White House to Trump. Take a step back and you see that every warning light is flashing red…”

I hope the scenario laid out here is being anticipated and planned for by those who are truly interested in protecting and preserving our system of government and have at least some power to do so. Based on how flat-footed Republicans were caught in 2020, however, I am not optimistic.

The essay concludes,

“Post-election uncertainty, propaganda of the threat of a dark fascist night by an illegitimate insurrectionist and convicted felon, and the lack of belief in the Constitution. You have the predicate for action.

“Nothing is certain. This particular result could be avoided. The Democrats may simply be bluffing playing the “Trump overturning democracy card.” The Democrats may collapse over the next week. The post-election environment, while uncertain, may tilt too strongly in Trump’s favor with, say, wins in places like Virginia and New Hampshire. Accordingly the Democrats may not be able to pull off a 2024-version of “Game 3.” We’ll get some rioting, a bunch of Jamie Raskin-led no votes on Jan. 6, but in general the lines will hold.

“However that seems to be more than a wish and prayer. Sometimes you’ve just got to take what people are telling you as the gospel truth.”

  1. The thing that bothers me the most is this mail-in balloting system. I read somewhere that there are already 50 million mail-in ballots received across the nation. This same article said that in 2020 there were 100 million mail-in ballots. Perhaps the 2020 number is understandable considering the ‘pandemic’ but I’m not comfortable with 50 million so far this election.

I was starting to feel cautiously optimistic about a Trump victory but I still think the Democrats are going to do anything necessary to prevent Trump from winning and/or taking office in January.

There’s a lot of sketchy videos and reports of ballot harvesting already. Some have been attributed to Russian sources and perhaps AI generated. The legal system will never sort this out – it’s too inefficient.

The current Democratic Party is the true threat to this nation. The MSM and Democratic party are running neck and neck for that title, Biggest Threat to Democracy. The media wants riots if Trump wins. They want to rake in the dough from advertising money when everyone is glued to their TV, Smartphone or iPad to watch the destruction unleashed on communities nationwide.

Well, I’ve said it many times here and above; I think the Democrats will do everything in their power to keep Trump from winning the election. Nothing is ruled out in there attempt to keep him out of office.

    • I can understand one of the reasons why 2020 election truthers believe as they do.

They have been told that the 2016 election was stolen by a few hundred thousand dollars’ worth of Facebook ads bought by the Russians®™ acting in concert and participation with Donald J. Trump.

The federal law enforcement and intelligence establishments gave the illusion of credibility to 2016 election trutherism.

Both the Clinton campaign and Kevin Clinesmith admitted to committing crimes to further 2016 election trutherism.

In 2018, two-thirds of Democratic voters felt that the Russians®™ actually changed the vote totals.

      Think about it.

If this side was willing to violate campaign finance laws and laws against forgery on a delegitimization campaign against Trump, what wouldn’t they do to win the 2020 election?

  2. I believe (in the event of a Trump win) that we will see the obligatory electoral vote challenge by Democrats in January, but on a larger scale than we have seen in the past, followed by a walk-out to avoid confirmation of the electoral count. Walk-outs have been a favorite tactic of Democrats at the state level, mainly to avoid a vote they know they will lose.

Those who walk out will join the mob gathered outside for photo-ops and speeches, then who knows? They have talked themselves into a corner. Meekly sitting by and engaging in the confirmation process will be to abet the takeover of government by fascist forces (in their minds).

  3. I had a friend in 2020 who insisted that she preferred Trump to Biden, but she couldn’t bring herself to vote for him. She maintained that she was certain that if Trump won, there would be riots and violence. She couldn’t bring herself to be part of creating that, so she voted Biden, figuring the worst he could do was be ineffectual.

I’m already concerned of the reports of fraud and suspicious activity going on. From the collection boxes being firebombed, to the 2500 false registrations in Pennsylvania, more than a dozen intercepted and fraudulent ballots caught in Colorado so far… this is going to be a disaster.

  4. Perhaps COVID-19 is about to claim its final victim — the world’s oldest democratic republic.

Almost all of the factors now endemic in our electoral system are rooted in the opportunities presented by the pandemic panic and the Left’s exploitation of them. Despite efforts to undo some of the damage, the leftist state governments have managed to keep the opportunity for fraud readily available, and everyone knows it. Allowing ballots to be counted after election day simply shows the fraudsters what numbers they need.

If we are lucky, Trump’s electoral margin (if he manages to win, that is) will be large enough to make the worst case scenario too difficult to pull off. But as someone once astutely pointed out, hope is not a plan.

Unfortunately, at this point, it’s all we really have.

  5. This text from a much younger (50ish) woman friend who lives in suburban DC, completely unsolicited and I avoid talking politics with her because she’s spent her entire life in the northeast among very educated, successful people. Her husband’s an investment banker and she’s in alumni relations for our college:

“I’m nervous there may be anarchy in this country next week.”

To which I responded, “Whom do you think is going to win? What’s the scuttlebutt in our nation’s capital.”

She replied: “I’ve been more consumed with the NY Yankees and their awful performance this past week [this was yesterday, prior to last night’s Yankees win] so avoiding the buzz around here. I have a gut feeling Trump is going to win. I’m very nervous. I’m not sure this country will ever be ready for a female president. And I’m not convinced she’s the best choice although having Trump back in is disastrous.”

I let it drop as there’s no talking to the northeast liberal Trump deranged. But this sort of sentiment among the highly sought after college educated, suburban woman electorate is very creepy. Looking back, I think Bush the Elder was the last Republican president Democrats allowed to take office and govern. I wanted to ask her if she thought the Democrats would ever accede to another Republican being elected president. I don’t think they will. They genuinely seem to desire single party rule. “But Trump!” is just the current slogan. I’m convinced they will viciously villainize each and every future Republican candidate for president as they have done with Trump. I think doing so is their forever playbook. And of course, the riots will be deemed Trump’s fault and just desserts for him and all the assholes who had the nerve, the gall, to not vote for Harris. Much the same as the George Floyd riots. They will be deemed justified and part of the nation’s effort to heal. Ugh. Very strange.

And if Trump loses, there won’t be any riots. Why? Because all the January 6 suckers, er, insurrectionists, are in federal prison. Who in their right mind is going to try anything like that again?

    • Riots no, but conservatives control real production. They could start scaling back to preserve their wealth or they could jack prices up in advance of price controls which is what happened in 72/73. Conservatives can destroy a Harris presidency relatively easily if they chose to. I would hope they would not unless such activities are done to protest specific policies.

    • We’ll have Gaza strips on each of the coasts. With Michigan and Minnesota and Madison, Wisconsin as Sowetos. A two-state solution. Well, all the Lefties seem to want to be Palestinians, so give them what they want.

  6. Real Clear Politics also has an article speculating in a similar vein.
    https://realclearwire.com/articles/2024/10/29/is_the_left_preparing_for_war_if_trump_wins_1068515.html

”The purpose of the Hitler narrative is not to alter the electoral preferences of left-wing media audiences already solidly in the anti-Trump column, but rather to justify taking extreme measures against the Republican candidate and the America First movement and ensure that the bulk of the military sides with the anti-Trump plot. Thus, it is best understood in the context of recent accounts promising, or urging, violence after the November vote.”
