Addendum (2) To “Groundhog Day Ethics Update: Post-Election Freak-Out and More!” [Item #7]

Shortly after the news that gun-obsessed ideologue David Hogg had been elected one of the Vice-Chairs of the Democratic National Committee (Item #7 in this post), a Hogg tweet from 2022 was rediscovered:

What is he, 14? This is the kind of mature, nation-building, rational leadership Democrats are turning to in their dark night of the soul. To call those sentiments infantile, self-centered, irresponsible and incompetent would be an understatement. What does one call a political party that looks at that and concludes, “Hey! This guy is just what we need!”?

The Democrats, I guess. Wow.

Asked by Jake Tapper this morning why his crumbling party is so unpopular, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, who was one of the Democrats who made his party look sick and vicious during the confirmation hearing for Pete Hegseth, defaulted to “It’s the economy, stupid!”

No, Senator: It’s the terrible ideas, incompetent management and repellent personalities, stupid. Like David Hogg.

    • Rating men like they are wolves is a fool’s errand. But it makes dick men who will never have a lifelong arrangement built around loyalty and intimacy with a woman feel better about themselves.

  1. “… infantile, self-centered, irresponsible and incompetent…”

Yep, that pretty much describes the progressives and the Democrat party at present. Their narcissism seems to blind them to any need for humility or self examination. David Hogg is an appropriate poster child.

      • It amazes me that Hogg has been able to parlay his 15 minutes of fame as the symbol of a tragic school shooting into a Harvard College admission (not that it isn’t a mixed blessing at best) and now this. It shows how resilient anti-gun phobia is in the US, but with this hard-eyed fanatic as its face, I don’t think gun owners have anything to fear.

        • Resilient or cynical or both? Hogg began his antigun campaign in a spirit of good faith after the shooting at his school. He was young, unprepared for the onslaught of the media, and a sympathetic figure, not unlike Greta Thunberg. Now, armed with a Harvard degree and self-righteous moral indignation, he thinks he is beyond reproach. He just might be getting a bit of his own medicine where his prior words/statements are coming to the proverbial roost.

  3. However, it is unlikely that this was HIS statement. This is the standard position of the Global Climate Change Elite. It is probable that he was told to say this and that this is now a plank of the party platform. You can see this point in much of the WEF literature, the COVID response, from Bill Gates (we can drastically reduce the world population with vaccines), etc.

At this point, anyone elected to that position would have to read the statement. However, the next step is to kill the pets (I am not kidding, look it up).

  4. “…or ask you to pay for college.”

That’s rich, given how his party pushed so hard to get citizens – many of whom had not only paid for their OWN college, but had also helped their kids get through college – to additionally pay for his imaginary child’s college.

As others have already said, David Hogg is the poster child for the Left’s self-absorption, narcissism, and disgusting sense of entitlement.

Hogg is one more grain of sand in the ever-growing pile of reasons President Trump is again President.

    • Is he modeling Trump’s “Fight, fight, fight!” from Butler, PA? Or is it a Black Power salute, a la the track guys at the Mexico (?) Olympics? If so, he’s awfully white to be co-opting a black thing. Shouldn’t he be “called out” for that? I mean, come on, that’s as bad as a college serving pot stickers in its cafeteria!

  5. the good news from his Tweet is that the transmission fo his genetic line will cease. His smug face and attitude will be erased from the human genome. After all who needs another Nazi saluter!
