Today is supposedly Great Stupid Day, or Throw a Tantrum Day, or something. One of my previously functioning lawyer friends on Facebook posted the nonsense below, saying that “we all” should follow its wisdom “if we can”:
Well at least the part about reducing how much you spend qualifies as “wise” but I’m dubious of the rest.
Also, the part about deleting the custom apps is a good thing too. Having written and published a couple myself, I can confidently say that most people just don’t realize how much data it’s possible for an entity to collect about you if they have an app running on your phone. This is why EVERYONE has an app these days, no matter how ridiculous or unnecessary it seems.
My dearest girlfriend of 45+ years lives in DC. Love her like my luggage. We just had this conversation where she told me she is boycotting so therefore she filled up her gas tank yesterday, and made sure she had everything she needed. I burst out laughing to her face. She admitted she new it was silly but she was still going to boycott because so many of her friends have lost their federal jobs. We had to end the phone call though because her cleaning women were coming.
I am dumbfounded by the number of lawyers who are evidently raving lefties. How can anyone in such a cutthroat, zero-sum occupation be so clueless about how societies function?
No doubt I’ve cut back on extraneous purchases, but I’m going to the grocery store today and this guy can jump into a black hole.

Love her to pieces.
Just for clarity:
If boycotting resulted in fiscal health, would it only be the sentiment behind “boycott” that is unethical?
Do they call it boycotting because boys spend less than girls – girlcotting being a shopping spree?
It’s weird how the intellectual skills people learn in law school often don’t carry over to other areas.
