Ethics Villain and Unethical Quote of the Month: Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker (Guess What Party…)

Yet more smoking gun evidence that the Democratic Party of the 21st Century does not want or support democracy. We shouldn’t need any more proof after the horrors of 2024, but an amazing number of Americans with misty-eyed memories of JFK, “The Great Society,” and even Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama (the fools!) refuse to accept what the party of Jefferson, Jackson, Truman and FDR has metastasized into.

Pritzker was one of the primary state dictators during the stupid pandemic response, signing 41 consecutive emergency orders during the Wuhan virus freakout to give himself unlimited powers so he could keep businesses and schools closed. His whole family is a menace: his sister is the woke empress that had Harvard select the DEI plagiarist Claudine Gay to lead Harvard further down the path to intellectual corruption.

President Trump is doing no more (and amazingly, not much less) than what he promised Americans when he was the only choice voter were given to avoid a DEI fraud claiming perfection for the most incompetent President in U.S. history. The hysterical and hypocritical Left is screaming “Dictatorship!” when the elected President is using his powers appropriately and necessarily to address the looming debt crisis, enforce the law, protect commerce, and remove the metaphorical termites from the foundations of democracy and its institutions like universities, law firms, and journalism.

And just listen to those morons cheering for this jerk! It has been speculated that Pritzker’s insurrection act (his party’s prosecutors and pundits have taken the position that telling a crown to “fight” is a call for violence, remember) is a prelude to his entering the 2028 wide-open race for President among his party’s current group of boobs, totalitarians and losers. Yeah, good luck with that, J.B…

And no, I’m not making fun of the Guv’s weight, I’m making fun of the fact that he’s deluded. In fact, conservative writers and pundits are behaving unethically by taking the low road and issuing cheap shots based on Pritzker’s girth. Here’s Powerline, for example: “The underlying message of Pritzker’s call for ‘disruption’ is that he is running for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination. Heavy!”

It’s this man’s brain, not his belly, that’s the problem. Try to stay focused.

  1. Many of us in downstate IL (I live in Livingston County) were hoping that Pritzker would become the Democrat presidential candidate in 2024 after Biden dropped out, if only to get him out of Illinois politics.  (I think Trump would still have won, although perhaps with a narrower margin than he had against Harris.)  If Cook County and the “collar counties” were split off as their own little icy-Blue state, the rest of Illinois would be Red (with a few Purple bits in the largest downstate cities).Sincerely,Catherine McClarey

    • Well, the Gov. couldn’t have possibly run as terrible a campaign as Harris even if he had campaigned in his Luke Skywalker costume.. But the DEI section of the Blue base would have rebelled if a black female VP didn’t inherit the top slot, so I doubt that he would have done better than Kamala, as hard to imagine as that is. I’m just glad we were spared Trump’s inevitable fat jokes; you know he wouldn’t have been able to restrain himself.

  2. “but an amazing number of Americans with misty-eyed memories of JFK, “The Great Society,” and even Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama (the fools!) refuse to accept what the party of Jefferson, Jackson, Truman and FDR had metastasized into.”

That’s the problem. They reject the party of Jefferson, Jackson, Truman and FDR. Don’t you know those guy were patriarchal white heterosexual males who either owned slaves, condoned slavery or didn’t do enough to help minorities in their hours of need? The New Democratic Party rejects the builders and maintainers of the organization they inherited. If they have to pay lip service to Jefferson here and there or champion FDR’s social security, they will but they want these guys hidden in the back closet of the party.

Or, better yet, they want them consigned to the back closet of the Republican Party because everyone knows that Democrats turned into Republicans during the 1950s.

Which means that the champions of the Democratic Party belong to the Republicans, too. I guess. Even JFK is too conservative for these folks. The only people who romanticize JFK anymore are old school liberals who fell in love with Camelot, became unreconstructed hippies and have gone after every Republican President for 50 years because they never got over not being able to jail Nixon.

(As an aside, at least some of the rose-colored glasses regarding Kennedy are starting to come off. The hagiographic movies, references in TV shows and misty-eyed teachers in school eulogizing JFK were annoyances back in the ’80s. JFK was like James Dean. The only reason he’s remembered as anything great is because he died young. Dean made one really good movie but all three are considered classics because of his early demise. JFK only served three years and wasn’t a great President, but people treat all three years as if they were the new Era of Good Feeling.)

Of course, they are hypocrites regarding violence. Pritzker’s statement would be considered incitement if a Republican had uttered them.

But we all know that there are double standards when it comes to what Democrats can say versus what Republicans can say.

  3. This current Dem talking point about “taking to the streets” does one thing: it shows how completely out of political power they are and see themselves being. The party seems to have completely adopted violent revolution as their only recourse. It’s as if it’s 1969 all over again. Negotiation and acting as a minority party seems to be completely off the table. Stunning really. They’re acting like brats.
