This morning, CNN pinged me with an alert that read, “CNN analysis: Trump’s deployment of the National Guard is a warning to other cities opposing his migrant policies.” You know, just like arresting and locking up serial killers is a warning to others who want to murder people, and giving tickets to speeders is a warning to irresponsible drivers who like to speed. Of course, CNN uses the deceitful cover-word “migrant” to avoid reminding dim-wit readers that these are law-breakers.
The news is that both California Governor Newsom and LA’s incompetent mayor showed that they were supportive of the rioting just as they have been supportive of illegal immigrants, and since the violence is aimed at blocking ICE from doing its job, the situation demanded Presidential action. In short, the riots are not about Trump, but the direct result of the refusal of the previous administration (whoever was in charge of it) to enforce the law (unless it was enforced against perceived political foes).
Meanwhile, in the hopes that I can make “A Friend” [see comments to this post]choke on his shredded wheat, here is how the New York Times is rolling out the Axis propaganda:
—“Trump Calling Troops Into Los Angeles Is the Real Emergency” say the editors. Sure. A sample: “But Mr. Trump’s order establishes neither law nor order. Rather it sends the message that the administration is interested in only overreaction and overreach. The scenes of tear gas in Los Angeles streets on Sunday underscored that point: that Mr. Trump’s idea of law and order is strong-handed, disproportionate intervention that adds chaos, anxiety and risk to already tense situations.” Pardon my French, but bullshit. It’s not disproportionate at all. The reaction is what Trump I should have done in many cities to shut down the George Floyd/Black Lives Matter riots. If your reaction to law enforcement reinforcements is to engage in more chaos, then you are the problem, not the law enforcement.
—Speaking of “pardon my French,” long-time Trump Derangement sufferer David French wrote “America Is No Longer a Stable Country” Not because a group of unelected partisan hacks took over the White House; not because the Times and its Axis lackeys helped them do it; not because one party bypassed all “democratic norms” to run an unqualified DEI stooge for President (who was almost elected thanks to media boosts like the phony “60 Minutes” interview), not because the Democrats championed a policy that allowed millions of unvetted foreign nationals across our borders, but because, French believes, the Trump team’s rhetoric is overheated. You know, like…
French is especially triggered because Stephen Miller used the same word for an ongoing, planned, organized, funded, multi-locale attempt to defy federal law that the entire Axis cabal used for four years to describe a single, unplanned, disorganized riot in the Capitol that was over the same day it started. French also is upset that J.D. Vance called the onslaught of illegals invited by the Democrats an “invasion.” I’d say that the prominence of foreign flags in the LA “mostly peaceful demonstrations” supports that description.
—“Trump Jumps at the Chance for a Confrontation in California Over Immigration” The headline is literally “Trump pounces!” Almost the exact same headline and commentary is at CNN’s site.
—“The Beautiful Danger of Normal Life During an Autocratic Rise.” The Times gathers three woke and extreme Left pundits to discuss “the threats that President Trump poses and…the best ways to resist them”….not, you will note, the actual threats posed by elected mayors, governors and members of Congress supporting systemic law-breaking and opposing law enforcement.
—The Times even found a Russian operative eager to use the Times opinion pages to destabilize the U.S. by making the bogus claim that Trump calling out the Guard mirrors Putin’s totalitarian methods, with “Here’s What’s Happening in America, in Six (Mostly) Russian Terms.”
Au contraire, I say to continue the French theme. The distinctions between the good guys and bad guys in this ethics train wreck, actually an extension of the Illegal Immigration Ethics Train Wreck which began decades ago, are clear and undeniable. If you don’t think so, sorry, but you are one of the bad guys.

And then there were the days of the Obama era when the Feds sued Maricopa County’s sheriff to stop the county from attempting to enforce federal immigration law by arresting illegal aliens, since the Feds were actively sitting on their hands. What an upside-down world the left lives in. It used to be only the Feds could enforce immigration law. Now, evidently only local police can [not] enforce immigration law.

The alert is also disingenuous because it implies that the National Guard is being activated because of “opposition” to the policies rather than quelling destructive riots.
