…or, “Nah, there’s no mainstream media bias!” Or, “THIS is CNN…”
Apparently the Axis media has made the considered decision to continue its unethical behavior from the first Trump term by employing any means necessary to create distrust in the elected President. This strategy, which is not only unethical journalism but despicable citizenship that is dangerous to national stability, also deliberately exploits and aggravates Trump Derangement Syndrome, which I now genuinely believe needs to be recognized by the American Psychiatic Association as a mental disorder. Because it is: the things many of my otherwise intelligent, educated and rational friends are posting on Facebook this year are heartbreaking. For example, several once-rational friends think this is a trenchant meme:

But I digress! Here’s what CNN did to smear Trump when it wasn’t fulminating about “the Epstein client list”: On July 17, 2025, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt released a memo from President Trump’s physician, Captain Sean P. Barbarella. His recent health check on Trump, now 79, diagnosed a mild leg swelling as chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition of adults over 50 in which the veins struggle to pump blood back to the heart from the lower extremities. Barbarella wrote, “Bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition” that is easy to manage. Hell, I was diagnosed with the same condition 20 years ago. CNN, however, saw this an opportunity to undermine Trump’s Presidency by feeding into a popular “whataboutism” deflection of the Stage 5 Trump Deranged. So what if Joe Biden was demented throughout his term, what about Trump? He’s obviously physically and mentally unfit to be President too! (This was one of the Big Lies the Axis kept flogging during Trump 1.0 (Plan E in the “Presidential Impeachment/Removal” schemes).
So CNN’s Chris Pernell, a CNN “medical expert,” went on the air to warn that chronic venous insufficiency “is a disease that is progressive.” She warned that the dread condition posed a significant risk to Trump’s health: “It can be debilitating!” she told CNN’s viewers. “And what that means is that if there aren’t conservative treatments, elevation, compression, medication, if needed, to treat accompanying ulcers or skin changes, it can worsen and actually put a person at risk for deep venous thrombosis,” Pernell added.
Chris Pernell can’t fairly be called a “fake doctor” as some conservative sources have described her, but she hasn’t practiced medicine for a long time, since her residency. Now she’s a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) specialist. She treats the disease of systemic racism, serving as the “Chief Strategic Integration and Health Equity Officer” at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey where she drafted the hospital’s first “equity and inclusion strategy,” hired the hospital’s first “director of equity and inclusion,” and instituted mandatory implicit bias and structural racism training. In 2021 she compared vaccine-skeptical Americans to white supremacists on MSNBC.
But wait! There’s more! Pernell now serves as director of the NAACP’s Center for Health Equity. She says on her LinkedIn profile that her goal is to “drive equitable health outcomes and transform healthcare systems through a comprehensive socioeconomic approach valuing the whole person.” She also served on the New Jersey Reparations Council as a member of its health equity committee, where she signed on to a report calling for reparations, non-citizen voting and ending deportations.
It seems pretty clear what CNN did here. It deliberately sought out a progressive, anti-Trump activist who would spin the medical report into another anti-Trump narrative. At very least, CNN and Pernell were obligated to inform viewers of her bias and conflict of interest, which of course neither did. If they had informed viewers, all but the dimmest of them would have realized that this “expert” was speaking as a woke, pro-Democratic party activist rather than as an objective physician.
I would say that it amazes me that CNN did this (and that it has never apologized or revealed to its audience what it did), because I think it was egregious deception even for CNN, but at this point nothing the mainstream media tries to undermine Trump should amaze anyone—rigged polls, manufactured scandals, non-reporting of Trump successes and endless hyping of his failures.
Oh—only the Washington Free Beacon revealed this bit of CNN partisan propaganda.
Ethics Alarms

I look forward to reading it. Star Trek fans on Reddit (yes, I know) are pulling the plug on Paramount Plus because “CBS caved to Trump after he sued them for interviewing a politician he didn’t like and canceled Colbert for criticizing him.”
That there are people out there who believe that bunk is astounding.
Of course, they will cancel the service after the new season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” is finished.
Principles can wait when you have new shows to watch, after all.
Actually, I think TDS can fairly be classified as a pandemic at this point. It is certainly ubiquitous.
I’ve often said that, when a media outlet represents somebody as an “expert”, that means that person is a left-wing activist. If they call them an “activist”, that means they’re a left-wing extremist. And if they can them an “extremist”, that means they’re a right-wing activist.
That’s pretty much par for the course these days, and anybody who expects anything different from the likes of CNN is culturally illiterate.
This demonstrates a complete lack of strategic thinking by the democrat party.
The reason Biden did not get a 25th amendment action against him is because all of those in power knew Harris was a completely incompetent DEI placeholder. No one wanted to see her as president. Not holding a primary was a disaster for them. By not holding a primary, they couldn’t setup a more palatable option. Clearly they were hoping to “Weekend at Burnie’s” Biden, but Biden decayed too much. What they didn’t consider was “what’s next?” What was their plan? Harris wins, then what? Fortunately we don’t have to answer that.
Now what the democrats are not considering: what if they succeed? What if Congress or the cabinet removes Trump under pressure? Conceivably, if Trump is alive, they won’t pull him until January 21st, 2027. On that day, they get President Vance. Who conceivably could stay in office until January 2037. Someone quite a bit more conservative than Trump. Someone who is young and articulate. You know, the democrats worst nightmare.
When I became a new parent, I began reading up on that new responsibility. One of the lines (and probably the only line) that stuck with me from that research was this: “All behavior has a purpose.”
The behavior of the Democrat Media Propaganda Complex is that of cornered rats in a decaying rat utopia: doing anything to survive. Facing smaller (and more demented) audiences, all the DMPC can do is feed these vermin the rage-rations those poor bastards demand and require.
As for the behaviour of the TDS-addicted (not afflicted, just addicted), the only thing that makes their actions and attitudes have any resemblance to sanity that for them, Political is no longer (ed. and never really was) political. It is now the center of their secularly spiritual life.
Jordan Peterson once suggested that there are no such things as atheists, there are merely people who don’t recognize which small “g” god they worship. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that many on the Left reject traditional Judeo-Christian structures and mores. So, absent a High Power, the Left found something else to worship and give meaning to their empty, ego-driven lives. Typically, it’s their politics (I’ve long contended that Democrats vote for their Pope every four years, while Republicans tend to elect a guy to do a job…but I digress).
So with TDS, what we are seeing is the flailing and thrashing of a group whose entire non-sacred system is being attacked. Like snake-handlers who cannot credit that the extremes of their faith in practice are literally deadly, the TDSers cannot acknowledge anything that calls into question the beliefs that give their life meaning.
Framing the TDS embracers that way, their attitudes and reactions make perfect sense. Their Faith is being challenged, and thus, those who dare question Liberal shibboleths are verily servants of the Evil One.
