What this says about her party and its ideological moorings is obvious. So is what it tells us about anyone who would vote for someone like this to have any power or influence over our society. We have had the “gotcha!” privilege debate here extensively in the 20-teens, and it was insufficiently slapped down to prevent the DEI and “presumed racism” pathogens.
The ethics mystery is why anyone white swallows this crap? I can see the advantages to minorities, since they can, by accepting it, absolve themselves of all failures, misdeeds and shortcomings. However, whites (and men) who fall for this argument are agreeing to be metaphorically hobbled, like Kunta Kinte in “Roots.” Worse, they are endorsing the hobbling of their children too.
I get why extreme, ruthless, unethical progressives push such garbage: it’s a means to an end, and the end is power. I do not understand why anyone privileged with a functioning brain and critical thinking skills tolerates officials like Stalker, never mind actually voting for her.

She’s such a good person to admit her privilege. I’m glad she’s finally seeing the light; however, since she got where she is through no effort of her own, only privilege, she should resign her position.
Why are so many people in this day and age losing their minds?

If we are going to use ethnicity to determine privilege exactly how much white privilege extends to whites in Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa, Mexico, all of Latin America Brazil China, India, Pakistan, Vietnam or Korea. If whites face the same disadvantages in those nations because they are not of the original people who settled there why is the US the only nation that requires that whites have to unnaturally modify their preferences to accommodate some who are less populous because it is demanded of them?
It seems to me that white Europeans have no more privilege in their home countries as minorities in the US have here. I would suspect that minorities here have more privileges here than those ethnic majorities in the countries from which they claim to be from.
I cannot help that my skin color due to my heritage is disproportionately more common relative to all other groups individually. I would like this Congresswoman to go to Mexico and complain that brown skinned people have more privilege than European ex pats who move to Mexico. Just try getting employment as a person who overstayed their visa. Owning prime property there is out of the question. You can lease it but you can never outright own it.
Moreover when Japanese owned Honda joint ventures such as MAI companies which include Great Lakes Assemblies in East Liberty, Ohio, Gulf Shore Assemblies in Lincoln, Alabama, and Indiana Assemblies in Greensburg, Indiana are MBE-certified which provides distinct advantages over non-MBE certified supply chain the economic benefits do not accrue to white owners.
More locally, Thompson Hospitality Corp of Reston VA is Black owned and boasts its commitment to diversity but none of the imagery on the web site indicate white/European origin employees. The website does not provide information on the executive team in order to determine the race of decision making team other than owner Warren Thompson.
Before I am willing to accept the proposition that white skin creates special privileges that that are not afforded to minorities I would need to see the demographic employment makeup of minority owned economic entities to see if representation by each demographic groups is not over represented by race or sex. If they do not show that whites are employed in proportion to their numbers of the general population we can surmise that people tend to naturally favor people, places and things to which they are most comfortable. That is not privilege it is human nature.
It seems that Sarah Stalker has not been informed that the late economist Walter E. Williams has provided for people like her a
“Proclamation of Amnesty and Forgiveness granted to All Persons of European Descent”.

There is a useful distinction between “privilege” and “advantages.” This could be an essay all its own, or perhaps a book or a shelf of books.
I think the things that she says in her clip might be more tolerable if she used the word “advantages” (note that it is plural) rather than “privilege.”
We could speak of the “advantages” of being white (which I think exist in the USA) and a variety of other advantages such as
* having two parents,
* having enough money for food and a roof and not getting evicted
* having parents who are not floridly crazy or abusive
* growing up in a reasonably safe and stable neighborhood
* attending a reasonably good school
* being physically attractive
* having good social skills
* possessing a pleasant voice
* having good impulse control and superior executive function…
The list of advantages is a long one.
P.S.: By the way, in the clip provided in the original post, the woman speaking never uses the words “guilt” or “guilty.”
