1. A fake photo is a lie. A White House that openly lies in that manner cannot be believed or trusted. A President who can’t be trusted forfeits his most important tool of governance,
2. That was no meme. Trump’s posting of stupid memes showing him as a superhero or in other obviously fantastic situations is unpresidential and embarrassing, but at least they are obvious gags. This wasn’t a joke. It was, among other things, an attempt to poison a future jury pool and public opinion with a misrepresentation.
3. The President’s mission and core policies are vitally important, and these unforced errors and demonstrations of such wretched judgment and such crude sensibilities are eventually going to alienate allies and supporters as well as give ammunition to those who wouldn’t give Trump credit if he cured cancer and achieved world peace on the same day.
4. It also gives “whataboutism” ammunition to those, like the oblivious commenter on this blog who first alerted me to the manipulation, who think partisan photo manipulation by the news media is justified or excused by the President’s (or White House’s—it doesn’t matter, he’s responsible either way) similar dishonesty, a defense (in their minds, at least) for disgraceful unethical journalism.
5. The President’s trolling, juvenile outbursts, reckless lack of self-control and unpresidential conduct will eventually create a tipping point, giving the totalitarian-minded Left the power they need to tilt the U.S. toward socialism, censorship, discrimination against whites and males, open borders and political show trials of their enemies.
With his next Stupid President Trick, coming right up, the tipping point may have already been reached.

President Trump also posted a video on Truth Social that had a brief clip depicting the Obamas as apes. I’m surprised you didn’t mention that. The video has since been taken down. I viewed the video and it was about the stolen election in 2020 but there was a very brief, almost like a subliminal cut, moment with the Obamas depicted as apes. He probably reposted the video without viewing it and wasn’t aware that content was in the clip (not defending here, just speculating).

I was shocked at your initial response and am glad to know you are as horrified as I was, as I was disappointed in your apparent double standard. Which you have corrected sufficiently in my mind. I just want to make sure I’m not the “oblivious” commenter you referred to, as I was careful not to defend the Alex Pretti manipulation. Also, I totally agree with you about the Guthrie kidnapping. Sick of hearing about it, disgusted that they would offer $50,000 reward for this particular white, privileged woman when there are so many others out there with missing loved ones. Thanks.
