Ethics Dunce and Unethical Quote of the Week: John Kasich

I confess: there was a time when I considered supporting John Kasich to be the 2016 GOP nominee for President (anyone but Trump…well, okay, and Dr. Ben Carson). Then I started listening to him. After he wiped out in the primaries, Kasich became a committed NeverTrump fanatic like the revolting Lincoln Project scamsters, left politics after being a wishy-washy Governor of Ohio, and then began being an anti-Trump “contributor” on Fox News, then CNN, NBC and MSNBC (the tell: he’s a liar) during the first Trump administration.

Kasich enthusiasticly supported Joe Biden in 2020, saying, in an endorsement that has aged as well as Walter Donovan in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”..

….“I’m sure there are Republicans and independents who couldn’t imagine crossing over to support a Democrat. They fear Joe may turn sharp left and leave them behind. I don’t believe that because I know the measure of the man. It’s reasonable, faithful, respectful.”

The tell: Kasich is an idiot.

This diagnosis was proven spectacularly correct when Kasich tweeted, following the NFL’s cynical Bad Bunny halftime show:

“Love the halftime show which celebrates the wonderful Latino culture. Great pick and great show. Bad Bunny hit a grand slam home run!”

Apparently the ” wonderful Latino culture” is celebrated with lyrics like these…

…which Kasich either sat there getting aroused by because he’s a dirty old man, or had no freaking idea what Latinos were hearing. I tend to think that he didn’t even watch the half-time show but defended it anyway because Kasich hates Trump to pieces, so he has done so often in the past decade, Kasich proceeded to make a fool of himself.

There are some admirable aspects to Hispanic culture indeed, like devotion to family, entrepreneurism,a strong work ethics and religious faith, but twerking and a crotch obsession arenot among them. Kasich praised Bud Bunny because Trump Derangement has eaten his brain, such as it was.

Oh…and the tweet also proves Kasich is a dork. Who but a dork uses a baseball term to describe a Super Bowl half-time show?

  1. “Love the halftime show which celebrates the wonderful Latino culture. Great pick and great show. Bad Bunny hit a grand slam home run!”

Unfortunately for the country, or more properly stated “the former America”, that halftime spectacle is a sign, an omen, of what comes next demographically for America. It was actually Conservatives who sold out the country when, in former days, they championed cheap labor (borders easily passed through and no enforcement of the law) while, simultaneously they exported American manufacturing to Asia. The American Left (at that time) opposed all of it!

Now how many decades have passed? A new population (i.e. ethnicity, demographic, choose the word you wish but do not say “race”) has anchored itself and is not “Anerican” in the former sense, but American in a new sense.

And if you compare Bad Bunny’s production, and its energy of self-affirmation to that of Turning Point, the former wins because it represents the will of a racial-ethic tide in ascent.

In a significant sense this Reggaeton version of Latino youth culture is Latin America playing back an interpretation of America’s Black Rap — sheer cultural rebellion against The System and a powerful, undermining will to pervert and to seduce.

You cannot get away from that seductive aspect: seduction seduces. Those twerking Latinas, though vulgar and low-class, win over against a type of false piety (my impression of TP USA).

You have got to face the facts: as it is going no “American ascent” will be forthcoming. You cannot rise up until you really know why it is you went into descent. No blustery Trump gathering, no “declarations” without tangible substance.

    • It came about in the following stages:

      1. The public got apathetic in electiosn and didn’t pay attention.
      2. The political class devolved into grifters and dolts, who made careers out of politics because it didn’t take much intelligence,
      3. This allowed leftward ratcheting that the public only started to notice after the doube whammy of the corrupt GOP under Bush and the radical Left under Obama, plus the biased new media finally making their dishonesty obvious.
      4. Trump, already a celebrity, gave voters a chance to register a “tear it down” protest. Both parties assumed that he would just let the public blow off steam, like Ross Perot, McGovern and Goldwater. They didn’t expect Trump to win, and the established, mediocre hacks like Kasich will never forgive him.
      5. But enough people’s eyes are open that the scam is not going to work any more.
