There are some cultures and some immigrants, refugees and illegal aliens that a nation has good reason to avoid letting into its territory. Islamic culture and Muslims are a blazing example. Europe and the UK are learning this hard lesson—that cultural diversity is only a boon if a nation’s traditional culture is nurtured and protected—too late. It remains to be seen if the U.S. will.

Nearly 70 dog breeds in the UK could be banned under proposed new legislation on the sham theory that they are “unhealthy.” A new 10-point checklist of “extreme” physical characteristics will decide which dogs will suffer from health problems due to certain physical characteristics. The excuses for banning the breeds include “mottled coloration,” “excessive” skin folds (like English bulldogs), “fat faces” (like pit bulls and mastiffs), “temperament,” bulging outward-turning eyes (pugs), drooping eyelids, being low to the ground (like Queen Elizabeth’s Corgis) and more.
Don’t kid yourself and believe that this assault on freedom and family has anything to do with canine health. This an assault on dogs by Muslims, who believe that dogs are “unclean,” as Nerdeen Kiswani, a Palestinian Muslim New Yorker and activist, said in a recent social media post. This led Representative Randy Fine (R-Fla.) to reply, “If they force us to choose, the choice between dogs and Muslims is not a difficult one.” In response to that, Congressional Democrats are demanding that Fine be censured, because, after all, tearing down American culture is part of the current party’s mission.
Ethics Alarms 
Why didn’t they just ban all dogs? Aren’t lots of these breeds working and sporting dogs essential to British life?
Professor David Betz wrote two articles about why he expects civil wars in the Western Europe (including Great Britain) as a result of mass immigration of Muslims that do not assimilate to local Western culture. I have the first article linked at the bottom of this comment. These civil wars will be unlike the Civil War in the USA about slavery, but be more like the Troubles in Northern Ireland, the wars after the breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1990s, or the civil war in Lebanon in the 1980s.
The value system of Islam is incompatible with Western culture. The most striking example of differences can be found in the areas of sexuality and gender relations. As a result of mass migrations there is a higher increase of rape, sexual harassment and catcalling in the public sphere, violence against gays, honor killings. In the UK there has been a yearlong scandal about Muslim grooming gangs in faded industrial cities like Rotherham, with the numbers of being sexually abused running in the thousands, all the while law enforcement was closing their eyes, and news reporting was suppressed. In Cologne 1,200 women were sexually assaulted by Muslim refugees during the 2015-2016 New Year celebrations; this was initially kept out of the press.
There are bitter disputes in the UK about a two tier justice system, which treats migrants are ethic minorities more leniently.
The crime rates for migrants are often appalling, rendering parts of the cities no-go area for the police.
The UK and EU do not have a Constitution that robustly protects free speech. About 300 arrests are made in the UK everyday for social media posts that fall afoul of hate speech laws; many of these posts were highly critical about immigrants and Islam.
The migration puts pressure on housing, especially since EU regulation makes it difficult to build new houses due to environmental regulations (green gasses, climate change), and because asylum seekers often receive legal priority for affordable housing; this often means that no affordable housing is available for locals.
Many asylum seekers are adventurers and luck seekers, who game the system to enter the UK and the EU. You see them arriving in rubber boats, most of them military aged men, all single. They arrive without papers, making it hard to verify nationality. Each of them has a tearjerker of a story when asking for asylum. They will all have to be housed and fed at taxpayer costs, often in an asylum center in a small village causing, affecting its livability.
And the UK and EU governments keep welcoming them with suicidal empathy, like in the book “Camp of the Saints” from Jean Raspail.

The linked article mentions a possible new rule, and then mentions proposed legislation. It does not provide detailed information about the source of the rule nor a link to any proposed legislation. So, is it a possible rule by a nut case in the British bureaucracy, or is it a proposed law with no hope of being enacted?
Or, is this just another Henny Penny to build upon the daily quantity of ethics alarms here, nevermind quality. Or, could it be a stretch to brand and slam Muslims, yet again, and especially those who have emigrated to England.
It seems unlikely, given what is here, but, if there is substance to the issue, that should be made clear, and then it might be worth our time.
If, on the other hand, as seems most likely, it is intended as a spur to anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant comments, then it is working just fine.
There are many reports about the proposed rule; I picked on not behind a paywall. You appear to miss the gravamen of the story, which is not whether the rule or law will ever actually be enacted, but the fact that it has been proposed at all and hasn’t been mocked, ridiculed and jeered into oblivion. 20, even 10 years ago it would have beem
I know it upsets the core ideals of libertarians and champions of cultural diversity, but history, reality and common sense tells us that some cultures are much better than others,and Islam is one of the worst and most dangerous to allow to take root. It is antithetical to Western values, and is relentlessly intolerant of any other cultures. Denial isn’t an argument. It isn’t “anti-immigrant” to concluded that some immigrants are not wise or rational to permit into the nation; the experience to of the UK is sufficient to make that case, or should be. I have no problem at all with Islamaphobia. It’s a religion worth being phobic about.
